    (first of all I'd like to say I'm still on Olympus story so I don't know everything) I'm kinda surprised no one's theorizing about Marisbury. Like if we're talking about antagonists we could reasonably predict appearing in the future he seems like a pretty clear twist character. He's this highly influential figure in Chaldea who not only laid the groundwork for everything we have been able to do, but almost set it all into motion. And then he just died before the main story. Especially with the spoilers I've gotten about Olga, as well as what Kirshtaria said about Marisbury giving them the Sirius Lights, it seems like Marisbury has a lot of potential and seeing him again isn't too unlikely.

    Honestly the idea of Olga knowing how to repair Humanity then having that knowledge stolen from her and us having to hunt it down sounds like a pretty good way to move forwards. It’s not like we know for sure that destroying the Lostbelts will restore Humanity and I like the idea that as we restore her memories, we get hints towards what we need to do. iirc it was said somewhere that Rhongo was like a stake that held the texture of the world to the planet so perhaps we need to return to the Camelot Singularity in order to retrieve it somewhere along the line. Idk if I’m just rambling and if this sounded better in my head or not.

    • @Zyleace
      @Zyleace ปีที่แล้ว +15

      There are two Rhongomyniads: the Tower which holds the textures of the world and the lance itself. And honestly they might be related but they are not the same wherein the lance is simply like a shadow of the tower. This gets more confusing when LB6 came in with Morgan's stuff explaining that Rhongomyniad is a magecraft and then functions as a turret when used by castoria.

After all, arc 2 is a story about losing humanity to save humanity so that seems like a reasonable wat for things to go, a version of history where Fujimaru sacrifices their humanity to become a beast and "save" humanity in their own way, likely trying to save everyone when such a thing cannot happen

      @@Nameless-ln5mr If that happens, I want the present day humanity to be the root cause for Beast VI appearing (finally) in the mobile game.
      Here's what would happen: Chaldea ends up undoing the bleaching and restoring humanity, only for Beast VI to then brainwash the entire world into thinking that we're global terrorists who are getting in the way of "world peace" and must die no matter the cost. That way we are forced to fight against the very humanity we've been trying to save the whole time. Even worse, the brainwashing extends to 99% of the Servants who once worked under Chaldea (only Mash, the former Grands, and former Beasts like Kama and Koyanskaya are unaffected).
      Our only hope of reversing this madness is by killing Beast VI. But it has literally the entire world wrapped up in its power, including nearly every human-based Servant in history.

    I'm placing my bets on Kadoc being the next protagonist going forward. Given how he was one of the only Crypters who survived this long and turn coated on the Alien God's plans (The other being Yu-Meiren, albeit out of great reluctance from Emperor Qin's request to become a Servant), I think it's being poised for him to setup to the plate.
    MINOR(?) SPOILERS FOR TRAUM:
    From what I recall from when Traum was released, there is a section where Kadoc is playable as the MC and had his own Master Skills for use. Not to mention Ruler Moriarty having a My Room line with Kadoc directly. I haven't seen anything else besides one boss fight, but this could be the direction they are heading in.

    This is just a personal theory but one I've seen spread around by other people but I want to almost guess that since Part 1 was about beating threats from the past and Part 2 is about restoring the present that Part 3 will have something to do with the future, perhaps something like us going into the future to restore our world from potentially becoming a Lostbelt, perhaps some kinda Beast with clairvoyance that knows we will eventually beat it so it tries to fuck with Proper Human History so the timeline where we defeat it doesn't exist

I think a great character to have as a focus is Da Vinci, who in the potential absence of Olga, Roman and probably Gordy will be the de facto leader of Chaldea crumbling under the expectations of Chaldea for her to be as good as caster vinci...? idk, expectations and end of the workd seem p legit tho.

    Personally hoping that Olga does end up becoming a friendly and helps unbleach the world, and that Kadoc becomes her master (so that they both have an excuse to stay relevant in the game). However, rather than her memories being shattered by a different enemy, I want that to a be a consequence of Gudako beating the snot out of her, and Olga instead figures out how to restore the planet by learning to love humanity

    • @Dragonpit

    • @chaosbean3211
      @chaosbean3211 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Dragonpit I figure that after being killed twice by humanity, she'd have a bit of a grudge, and besides, if Gudako beats the snot out of her, whatever playable version we get of her would be just a shell of that former power. Her rediscovering her love for humanity would restore some of that previous power and inevitably prove why she became a Beast in the first place, but with the return of her power and love, she decides to restore the world.
      Admittedly, I haven't read beyond Olympus, but based on what I remember of Olga, she did love humanity, even if she didn't really know why she was trying to so hard to protect it. I'm assuming the Beast version of her is similar; too busy with the action of protecting that she doesn't know the why. Honestly, if you want my theory on the climax of Part 2: I think Ritsuka's journey is, to some extent, meant to parallel Mash's journey in Part 1. Each of the Lostbelts since Lostbelt 4 has had at least one section in which Ritsuka has reflected onscreen about what they're doing, and based on the segments in question that appear in Olympus and LB6, it seems like Ritsuka is looking for a "reason" why this was all worth it. I feel like, at the end of Part 2, Ritsuka will have found that answer, and will give it to the Alien God, in the same way Mash refuted Goetia's desire for a world without death.
    Also, there's another reason why people are doomsaying FGO: Nasu has said in the past that he wants the end of Part 2 to be an *ending.* He's not going to be directly involved with FGO after Part 2, and it seems like he wants the story he's telling to end with a sense of finality. And for those who say that Type-Moon wouldn't kill their cash cow: when developing the Tsukihime remake, Nasu deliberately dialed up the horror factor of an early scene (when Shiki attempts to murder Arcueid), which resulted in the game receiving the equivalent of an ESRB AO rating. This made the game harder to sell, because many outlets won't sell games with a rating that high. Nasu did it anyway, for the sake of his artistic integrity.
    TL;DR: I honestly think Nasu might end FGO with Part 2, because to him, telling the story he wants to tell is far more important than making money.

      @@theazureknight9399 Nasu absolutely *would* kill a massive cash cow if he felt he had to for the story. Granted, some of the others at Type Moon might convince him otherwise, but Nasu is very much someone who creates for the sake of his creation, not for the sake of monetary gain. Remember, he killed off Musashi, who is a massively popular character, during the climax of Olympus.
      Also, I'm pretty sure it *is* up to Type Moon if Aniplex can keep making FGO using their intellectual property, tho it depends on the details of the contract they worked out.

    I know that this is something that I haven't seen discussed and it's a weird point.
    But one major theme that no one seems to think about FGO's story line is where these stories are taking place.
    Arc 1 took place in the past. Fixing history, and even exploring Pan Humans History. They always make it a major point to describe the time periods, especially in the introduction screens once each story chapter starts.
    Arc 2 are the Lostbelts. Points in humanity that were pruned away in the past, allowed to survive into OUR present. It's brought up in Lostbelt 5 that the trees simulate the history and what would have happened between then and now in OUR CURRENT YEAR. They're living in (well at least in the case of NA) in the year of 2022. Though Lostbelt 6 is an extremely massive exception to this rule, I'm not sure if there is a bit covering the difference between Lostbelt 6 and the other Lostbelts due having a lack of a tree.
    So, we've tackled the past and the present. What's left to face? Nothing but the major point brought up in both Arc 1 and 2. The future. It's always brought up how humanity fights for its future, and to keep moving forward, no matter the chapter when it comes to main story content. We're fighting for OUR unknown future.
    But then what? We get OUR present back? What of the future? I'm no profesional writer. Good God no I'm not. But it's not something I feel like that should be over looked.
    I couldn't begin to tell you where an idea and concept like this can be taken, but just like a true Fate fan will do. I'm not gonna despair, doom and gloom, I'm gonna face the future head on, take the lessons the game taught me and teaches many others and I'll simply face on what comes next. I'll enjoy the ride, and when the come ends I'll accept it and look forward to what may happen next with cautious optimism.

    I doubt that they would kill the 2 main character off (in a regular game? Sure. In an online service game? I don't see that happening.)
    The "slowly turning into a beast" theory dose hold some weight tough.
    Since Galahad isn't the most "here when we need him" guy and Mash having Fous power could be a thing that happenes at the end. But I do not think that we would just kill her.
    That would go against the character of Guda, Goldorf, Mash and basicly everybody else. So If that were to happen than that would be the new plot.
    Ether her or Guda would become a ticking time bomb (like one of them gets frozen in stasis and we have X amount of time to find the cure or all hell breaks loose), or would be with us but like a corruption system it gets worse as we go over the chapters.
    .
    If it is Guda that gets this treatment than we can have a new MC for a while (be it Kadock or Olga).

    I mean I feel like we'll play more as kadoc instead of guda on lostbelt 7. For my own theory after lostbelt 7 would probably be that either guda turn into an enemy or something with the mage association. Ever since lostbelt 6.5 and what young Moriarty told us about we being on phase 2 (correct me if I'm wrong plz) I feel like guda will turn something not human and we might get to see mash alter or something like that and that's why we are getting to play as kadoc more in lostbelt 7 and beyond.

    I am betting Olga dies again at the end of this, regardless of her becoming a friendly. And even if she DOES somehow survive, it is extremely doubtful that the main character or Mash won't be lost instead. Fate, as a series, has always asserted that everything has a cost, but that cost has never been time and effort (at least, to my recollection); the cost has always been human life. You have a dream or goal to fulfill? Better be prepared to KILL for it, because it's not like anyone's going to let you do that, because chances are, their own goals and dreams are at stake as well. And no amount of creative thinking, problem solving, or inventiveness will allow you to overcome it.
    Sounds like describing a Holy Grail War, doesn't it? Well, I'm not. Chances are, to restore humanity, Olga Marie will probably have to be destroyed. According to the game, she's been feeding off of Lostbelts, so her current body is likely chockful of the resources necessary to restore humanity to its original form. Tack on the fact that she was the one who wiped out humanity in the first place with her magecraft, and the end point practically states itself.
    What's more, it's clear she's trying to become an Ultimate One, and it so happens that the Wandering Sea has sealed within its walls weapons capable of destroying a planet.
    Also, Japanese culture does play a role here, which is very focused on saving face. There's an element of Bushido, where it is stated that if someone acts selfishly and causes harm to others, then the act of taking one's own life is called for as recompense. There's also the belief that if the soul is sent back to the Root, it is wiped clean. Tabula Rasa. Like so many other pieces of Japanese media, they will likely take the route of by killing Olga Marie, thus sending her soul to the Root, her soul will no longer be monstrous, at the cost of erasing her as a person, and this constitutes as "saving her". Because with her death, she has both atoned for her sins through paying the ultimate price and has also been saved. I myself don't really care for that whole premise, but what do I know?
    Either way, I am very pessimistic about the outcome. Fate has never tried to make the world(s) a better place; it has always been about restoring or maintaining status quo. So why should this be any different?
    Also, I love how everyone assumes that Mash will become a Beast when other characters warn her about her fate, all because the worst thing that could happen to the player is that we would have to fight Mash to the death. But to be honest, I don't think her becoming a Beast is all that likely. Her entire journey has always been about her growing up. Ergo, becoming a Beast would actually be a regression for her in that case. No, I think it's far more likely she will become a Grand Servant. Servants have never looked kindly upon their own state of being AS Servants, always lamenting it as being tied down by their regrets, so Mash becoming even a step closer to being a proper Servant would. by itself, be worthy of a word of caution. Throw in the title of Grand and you know that achieving something like that is going to result in some sort of heavy personal cost. Like never being able to see her sempai again, in exchange for that higher calling. Something of that nature. And as an additional twist of the knife? We (read: the main character) will have pushed her into it.

  • @prototypemaster1
    @prototypemaster1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I could see only 3 possible arcs. We either focus on dealing with more Beasts or we start dealing with forces outside our world(Like Aliens, Outer Gods, etc), or we start going to other dimensions(I have no idea of whatever general ideas fgo can go).
    If Olga and/or Kadoc survive the losbelt story, it would be ideal for us to actually go on another journey, but with them this time. Perfect opportunity to get to know them on a personal level.
    It would be a crazy story if mash were on the path of being a beast.

    There is one way we could have Guda die without needing to end the game.
    Have them become a servant.
    Perhaps their actions in saving the world multiple times or through the bonds of their servants they are inscribed on the throne. Maybe since they were known as "the last master of humanity" they have some special ability were they can be both a master and a servant.
    It would be a good way to have the story keep going while having the ending of part 2 still be bittersweet since Gyda will never again have a normal life since they died

    Considering the first and second parts had singularities and lostbelt which where fighting someone’s right to how the world should be ruled I’m hoping They’ll expand FGO’s own lore and origins and have the competitors of Marisbury Animusphere holy grail be the antagonist of the next phase with maybe their own timelines manifesting through weird mean, and us challenging their futures similar to the Lostbelts kings, with grand level servants, although not Solomon strong. I can imagine it would be a roster of some of the most skilled mages in the in the NasuVerse although not any as strong as the Aozaki sisters and I can see a Kiritsuru antagonist with a servant Oppe- I’m just obsessed with that old man appearing.
    Definitely a carbon copy of the Crypters but FGO is just basically redoing holy grail wars with higher steaks.

    Olga joining us to defeat some enemy she knows makes a lot of sense as there is this theory floating around that the real enemy is Chaldea itself. In this theory Chaldea was made to find, create and destroy Beasts in order for humanity to rise above them and evolve the human race to something "better". As this would change the essence of humanity , I can definitely see the main character and Mash not siding with this plan as they are the ones who desperately tried to get back to what humanity already had (as seen in the Lostbelts). I can see the same thing for Olga (not wanting to go along with this plan) and this also gives a purpose for Olga staying (we need her and her knowledge on Chaldea).
    I am excited if the story goes into this direction but at the end of the day this so still a theory.

  • @benduford3746

    I think something interesting FGO could do is revisit the Types/ Ultimate Ones, this could be woven into second part of the Lostbelts with the U-Olga getting scared and hastily making more Lostbelts involving different scenarios of when earth dying and humanity surviving and Gaia getting mad and calling down the types at different points in history. Or maybe while the Earth is still bleached after we beat Olga and the World is Mad at us for it fixing it so Gaia calls the types to deploy a Reality Marble esque ability to try and fix it. I’m sure there are other ways to introduce the Types into the story which could give us plenty of opportunity’s to introduce Characters from Notes, like Ado Eden, Gun God, and Type Venus the friendly one.

    @fahamali2690 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The personal theory is that the counterforce summons a grand servant to kill mash because if she lives, she will eventually become a being too powerful for history. Gudako's history will be either that of a strategist or a weak but hearty hero, but mash who threw hands with literal gods and monsters wayyyyyyyy above regular mythos calibre will have simply too much power. Sure her power is regulated by the counterforce if she is summoned as a servant but she has had so much exposure to beings outside of its power reach and calibre such as beasts, alien gods, foreigners etc. As such, counterforce summons a grand to kill her before regular human history corrects itself and can explain the exploits of Mash. You can't really hide mash either since she is forever connected to a beast of the world and Galahad at the same time, meaning she is practically a ticking time bomb to everyone who isn't Gudako.
    Sure she is nice to us, but from everyone else's perspective she could bust nukes without sweat and take over the world fairly easily. Since we all know how shitty humanity is, we either get another religion or we get humanity rioting against itself in fear or awe of her trying to either kill or protect her, leading to the world imploding on itself. The point is the grand servant kills Mash. Gudako, unable to take this, asks a servant/alien god to go back in time to just after clearing the final lost belt or hurdle of humanity or whatever and from that point onwards they go history-hopping for something in order to save her or fight back the grand. Gudako, having gone through too much shit from the lost belts, is unable to let Mash go like that. Unlike before, what you are doing is acting selfish and is ruining humanity since Mash being alive would seriously be a problem for the world and nobody's life is at stake besides hers. Mash, being the cinnamon bun that she is, fights harshly against Gudako because she has experienced life and the sacrifices of enough people/servants to know she got the good end of the stick and is happy for where life led her.
    The story from that point is whether the world deserves Mash enough for her to die for it or whether Gudako lets the world rot against Mash's and the world's will. They go time hopping into places where there will be artefacts and servants who could treat her at the same time being either chased by Chaldea or the grand in particular. Eventually deciding to team up with beasts of humanity, demons, gods, monsters or whatever to escape to despondent timelines in hopes of saving Mash despite her wishes. From these types of timelines will we get Solomon alter, or grand Foreigner or other grands trying to help/persuade us to stop. But that's what I think is cool and is an interesting spin on where the story could lead us.

Killing Guda and giving us someone else means that all the interactions with our servants would ve meaningless after that so they have to add whole bunch of new dialogues and interactions for every fricking servant, including Mash. And most of those VA aren't cheap.

One thing I don't see people talking about is David Bluebook, last we saw him he got shot by something at area 51 so that might have some implications later on since I don't think he's dead. Also let's not forget about Fou the story is very clearly implying that he's getting back is powers, he can talk again, new Vitch as evil and potentially a Beast and although it's just in a Valentines scene he brings us back to life after Space Ishtar kills us twice.
