    Glad to see you back building stuff. I'm just plugging along with my xtool d1 pro (10w) and your earlier videos have been really helpful.

    I'm a 53 year old former Atari gamer. Yeah, 1981 was THE year I got that 2600 baby!! I got my first tattoo for my 50th birthday. It's a 3D of the Back to the Future "OUTATIME" license plate with a 3D BTTF arrow going under it. Need to get some lightning effects added and maybe some fire trails.
    I'm new to laser cutters but I'm going to try this to make an arcade sign for my home office. Great video!

    great video. What I do is offset my lines inward or outward about .005 and run them at 100mm/sec at 35% (I have an 80w). This helps align without having to use a jig. love your results!

    Turned out great! I’ve been on a roll with my laser and layered files are some of my favorites. A tip with MDF is using wood sealer and allowing it to dry for an hour then paint goes on really well including the cut sides. 👍

    I’m not sure I need a sign. But the LightBurn methods you used, demonstrate some great techniques. Thanks!

    Good video I'm sure that laser can cut at a faster speed than that i have a 80 watt and I use 10 speed and 35 power. your cuts look nice and clean no heavy burning.

    Love the video. I’m just learning how to use my omtech 150W laser, so far I love it. Question - how did you get the freak show font on lightburn? Maybe you can make a video on that? Cheers!

    • @BuildDadBuild
      @BuildDadBuild  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you download a font on your machine it will show up in Lightburn the next time you open it.

      You’ll need to run a speed and power grid

    Awesome video! How do you like your AP Lazer? That is the make I am looking at and would love your honest feedback. TIA!

      I absolutely love it. The construction is solid. Not like a lot of cheaper lasers I’ve worked with. And their customer service is top notch. If you have an issue you can call them 24-7 and a REAL person answers. And they work with the machines so they know how to troubleshoot! It’s like hiring a little team along with your laser!

    Hay dad. If I want to replace the laser on xtool D1 pro 20w do I have to buy the whole laser module or can you just buy the actual laser and fit it inside the existing module? Thanks 🙏

    • @BuildDadBuild
      @BuildDadBuild  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They sell modules that fit the existing D1 Pro frame.

  • @dannoc1070
    @dannoc1070 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi nick. The cross hairs on my D1 are not straight atall. Is there a way to align them properly with the rail? When I put a glass in it's inline with the rail But crosshairs are veiring off to the left. So I have to move the glass at an angle to get it to engrave straight. Surely this is not normal? Thanks again 👍👍👍

    • @BuildDadBuild
      @BuildDadBuild  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not normal. If you feel comfortable try using a square and lining them up. If not contact xTool support.
