- Being new to test knitting, this episode is all about my own personal experience of being part of a test knit & of knitting the Souffle Tee by Penrose Knits.
The Souffle Tee will be released on Friday 8th April (not March as stated in the podcast).
For full details of my version of this pattern, please check out my Ravelry Project page. Link in "About Me" section.
Note: Although a discount was offered as yarn support for testers, this is NOT a paid promotion. All opinions are my own and the yarn was bought with my own hard earned cash.
Your Soufflé turned out lovely Sian! That raspberry colour looks stunning on you! ❤️ Watching your podcast episode, I realized you and I have so much in common when times to knitting! I totally agree with you about “body island” - sleeves are nothing to me, they take hardly any time, but going around and around on a big circumference for the body is just so time-consuming and you don’t see the same progress speed that you do when knitting sleeves. It was wonderful to have the group chat for the test knit, and even as a seasoned tester, I found it so warm and welcoming 😊 You’re so right that having the group chat allowed us to feel like we were knitting together, not in isolation, and I absolutely agree that I learned a lot from other testers ❤️ I love how a good test knit results in making great friends that we never would have met otherwise 🥰
Your soufflé is lovely, the colour is gorgeous. Definitely buying this pattern 😃
that pink/red soufflé looks so fantastic on you!!! I love it!
Beautiful! The review and the Soufflé!
What a lovely soufflé. I have recently tested for the knit purl girl and I agree, the group is the best part of test knitting, it´s really knitting together all around the world
Thank you for your lovely review! I’m so glad you enjoyed your first test knit experience!! If you want to bring your neck line in a little you can always thread some fine elastic through the centre of your icord and secure it at each end, don’t put it round the key hole obviously!! 😂 xx
Thanks Laura, great idea & I think I’ll pop some elastic in the neckline.
Congratulations on the release of the pattern! I know others will love it as much as I do 💕
I just swatched for this knit with a acid green/grey mohair. I just wanted to say you are abslutely fabulous in this hot pink !
Thank you! Acid green would be such a fun impactful colour 😃
It looks great on you! Just started my first test knit too. Well done 👏
You can do it!
Great review Sian, sounds like a lovely friendly test knit. I’ve only done them through Ravelry groups which I find a bit impersonal. If you are using a DSLR you can adjust your white balance in camera, as your soufflé is showing red rather than pink it means your WB is too warm creating more yellow than blue light. My iPhone does this in photos and it drives me crazy 😊
Oh my god, thank you! I'll have to fiddle with the settings and learn how to use this properly :D Thanks so much for the tip!
@@theobsessivemaker no problem, my other hobby is photography 😉
