For those who are wondering about the mushrooms.
Those are MATSUTAKE mushrooms. Very expensive in markets. I once saw them in a store and 2 mushrooms cost 38 DOLLARS!!!!!!! They're very rare and cannot be grown by humans like other mushrooms. They're mainly found in the mountains in damp mossy areas with lots of decomposing material. They can cost even up to a 100 dollars a mushroom depending on quality and size. They're very fragrant and delicious tho.

I heard that "Song Rong" requires specific environment to grow. It becomes more and more expensive in market and many people go to the mountain and pick them up, which caused huge damage to "Song Rong"s growing environment. Li Ziqi only dig a small and deep hole to pick them up and covered the moss back afterwards which helped protect the mushrooms' spores and their beds.

The videos portray her taking care of acres of land and a household, preparing elaborate meals on a regular basis, making furniture, tools and cloths, all while always being perfectly manicured and groomed in cleanest clothes and while taking countless well coordinated video shots with perfect lighting. It takes some high degree of naivety and disconnection from reality to believe that even a small portion of this is possible for even the most productive individual to handle. What is bad bout this is that it belittles the terrible poverty that genuine self-sufficient farmers still suffer from in China and other places, because she seriously claims that she is one.

One of my favorite ingredients! They're hard to find in north america and when you do they're usually expensive but so worth it. Most flavorful mushroom species I've ever had, and honestly just grilled with salt and pepper like this is the best way to have them
I have only eaten two times of Matsutake rice（The most classic method of eating Matsutake）in the past 20 years. I live in Eastern China.I thought that Matsutake could only be found in Yunnan and Tibet. I didn’t expect Sichuan to have it either. This kind of food is as expensive as gold. She is too lucky.

The only one I understood was the rooster. Otherwise I am clueless...but mesmerized. I can’t compare it to the common Western craft, garden or home tv shows as this is art. Gorgeous. There is this suspension of reality in that the various segments are presented as though they are being performed as just a part of her daily (or weekly, etc.) activities. There is no research or assistance or filming going on...just her...living with mama in their rural home. It’s a lovely suspension of reality. I can easily understand that this is so popular. I love it too. After someone worked in a factory or an office building their whole adult life, then ultimately passed away, this is the heaven they should go to.
