I’ve have used a self tapping screw to remove a broken knock or two. The graduated threads work well and the head of the screw gave me something to hold onto with a pair of pliers.

Just had to say went to heavier arrows this yr and had a buck move forward on a hard quartering shot chasing a doe and I hit him 4 5 in back but at the angle it was way back so having heavy arrows now it went clean up through deer and into opposite lung. Did enough damage I killed the deer. Had I not went heavier I wouldn't of got this deer. Now I'm gonna go with a lighter gr per in shaft and put an insert in so I get up to 20% weight forward with 550 gr. Thanks for the vids

The bible also mentions John wondered with great "wonderment" (Rev 17:6)..the RF is a welcome wonderment. Thanks for getting me into the heavy arrow mindset, I chrono at 210 with a 660g Vulcan 250 and it's like the valley girl said...."OoooH, Cool!"

I use a coarse threaded screw that is so slightly larger than the inside diameter of the busted nock shaft. I hold it with pliers and heat it up enough to melt the insert piece and twist it in with pressure. Being hot it will easily bite into the nock. Let it cool for like 30 seconds and then pull. Been doing this for years

I just keep a fine thread drywall screw in my quiver for this. Carry on. I use Black Eagle deep impact shafts with 4" right wing feathers. 400 spine 42 grain outsert, 150 grain heads. Shooting a Black Widow PMA 64" 51 lbs @ 32" draw. The fly great bare shaft. 490 grain arrow 👍

5:30am, I hit play for this video and can barely hear it so I turn volume up. About 10 seconds into it the intro is cued and almost blows out every car speaker and scares the crap out of me. Intro gets over with, audio goes back to a whisper. Love the channel but the audio...

I’ve done the math based on Dr. Ashby’s data for arrow pen, creating a curve and look up table for various game animals. I think it could be used for determining what game animals an existing set up can be used for, or alternatively if you aspire to hunt a particular animal, what speed and weight is optimal.
*note: it assumes the broadhead is of course single bevel, two blade, tanto tipped with great flight and is sharp AF
Thought this might tickle the fairies 🧚‍♂️ tail a bit

Any tips on how to get a broken off lighted nock that is stuck inside carbon victory rip TKO with epoxy inserts? I dont really want to just push it in farther and leave it in the arrow.

Hey Troy , when your finished building arrows do you try to index or position all your 2 blade broadheads the same ? Or is this not important?

Good trick to know. Bought some crossbow arrows that flew perfect out of crossbow, then went to put lighted nocks in, and they friggin GLUED the nocks in the shaft at the factory. I guess I am getting ready to break some nocks ON PURPOSE and hope the shaft doesn't break with it. Anybody got a solution for THAT? I may torch and melt the factory install and hope I don't set the fletching on fire. Oh, forgot to mention... arrows are aluminum.
