    I literally just got back home 2 hours ago from testifying in court as a witness to a road rage incident. I was sitting on a bench in front the police station when a car with an elderly couple pulled up and asked me to get a police officer for them. Some idiot chased them from the neighboring town terrorizing them and trying to run them off the road. Both vehicles were damaged. I went to the call box to call for help only to find the rager racing down the street and pulling in front of the couple to block them. He got out of his car and took a step forward. When he saw me and saw that he was directly in front of the police station he got back in his car and took off. He claimed in court that the couple had chased HIM. I hope I was able to debunk that. I have no use for road ragers. Do not retaliate if you feel you were disrespected on the roadway. If you do and something bad happens your both at fault.

I find that to be way faster and more efficient. In comparison to "asking" someone to get over then having to wait for them to do it. It's so much more simple to direct my energy to what **I** can do to make my drive suit my needs, rather than attempting to control/direct the actions of others

      I almost always stay in the slower lane, but if there's not multiple lanes & someone is tailgating me for doing the speed limit, I just take my foot off the gas. The speed limit is just that; the limit; not the minimum. They simply pass me and speed off.
      The thing that sets them off is those brake lights coming on, so I don't brake.
      If they refuse to pass me & insist on tailgating I just ignore them. I won't risk a ticket for a crazy bully.
      But if they hit me they're buying me a new bumper.

    • @king_slimy8859
      @king_slimy8859 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You really should go at bare minimum the speed limit simply because the speed limit is intentionally set lower than what is safe. There’s nothing wrong in most areas going 90 in a 70 but if you made the speed limit 90 there would be way more people hitting 100+
      Be safer and follow the flow of traffic. If you are constantly being passed you’re going too slow.

    Too many people think that they are entitled to stay in the passing lane or "fast lane". Get in, accelerate to pass, get out. Never make a habit of driving along in the left lane, even without traffic.

    I can freely admit that my younger self did suffer from testosterone fueled road rage. I am now much more mature and practice defensive driving at all times, and if someone is tailgating me I move out of their way if possible, I don't make eye contact and ignore any angry gestures flipped at me. People are crazy today, and I only drive locally, once a month I have to drive 40 minutes into the city for an appointment and am a nervous wreck.

    Defendant is guilty of deliberately causing an accident by slamming his break. He will continue that aggressive driving because he was not reprimanded. Plaintiff was driving defensively and tapped brakes to let him know that he was not up to speed, may need to ease up. Plaintiff should have been awarded a portion.

  • @iowaredneck9416

    Can't agree with Judge Judy dismissing the case so nonchalantly. I can't speak for all states but I do know some state driving manuels suggests tapping on the breaks to let the other driver know they're getting too close. I wouldn't consider that a case of "Road Rage".

    • @556uwv
      @556uwv ปีที่แล้ว

      legally it is considered road rage, and generally illegal in most of the states.

    A friend's brother was murdered because of road rage. 2 men brake checking each other, jockeying back and forth on the interstate, took an exit off the interstate and the other guy followed him. Both finally stopped at red light. Both men jumped out at red light and the other man shot him twice with a . 38 revolver, then fled the scene. The victim had a 6 day old baby and was going home from buying baby supplies.
    It's not worth it! Be the person who de-escalates a situation like this.
