    I had a feeling that the heat + pressure on the eyeball can't be good for the cornea, but other doctors told me that the blurriness is just caused by the excess oils. I always suspected it was something more, though

      I live in the UK and after years of sore and watery eyes, I resorted to a procedure called Lipiflow. It basically unclogs the meibomian glands. That was 13 months ago and my eyes are just starting to get dry again. Lipiflow lasts 12 to 18 months, I'm told. It cost me £800 but I have to say it was worth every penny.

    I just bought the Tranquileyes XL. The heat packets didn't fit precisely and so I could never get them to seat evenly and close enough to my eyes. More importantly, they were only lukewarm. My thermometer gun measured no more than 90F. I returned them.

    I have very dry eyes and have had two corneal transplants in my late teens I am 47 now. I use natural tears and restates eye drops. Hot cloth compresses help but affects don’t last. Also for the last month my eye lids have start twitching. I did a cloth hot on eyelids and it helped but in a minute or so the twitching came back. What is the best compress for me?

    Someone says that TearRestore isn't effective like a standard warm compress that covers the eye too, but the standard one puts too much pressure.
    So a solution💡 would be to create two spaces for the eyes by sewing🧵🥽 the standard mask so that the mask will keep covering the eyes, but without putting too much pressure. What do you think?

    Hello sir. I don't know if I have dry eyes. About a month ago my eyes started burning all the time and stinging. Especially while at work on my computer. I went to eye doctor and they said my eyes look healthy and it's possibly dry eyes and gave me eye drops. The eye drops change nothing and I feel like my burning and itchy eyes is making me crazy and making work and play hard. You think this could be dry eyes (since eye doctor was able to see nothing wrong)? And would I benefit from buying these products?

    • @DrEyeGuy
      @DrEyeGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's definitely a possibility it could be dry eyes. I would let your doctor know that you aren't having any relief with the eye drops you are trying. It's possible the warm compresses could help, you just want to check in with your doctor to make sure.

    What do you think about using a face steamer instead of warm compresses. I tried it and seems to be ok. It’s warmer than the compress and it’s moist and your steaming your face as well. I use it a couple times a day and so far seems ok. But do you think steam can be harmful to eyes although my eyes are closed?
