I'd love to see an hour or longer video production, as it's difficult for me to watch other documentaries that have music blaring over all the natural sounds and I most appreciate the authenticity of Tintswalo guides and their descriptions & experiences of the animals we're watching! ♥️ God's many blessings to you all this year!

“FREEDOM FRONT PLUS, LEOPARD IN SNARE: GAME POACHING IN MANYELETI RESERVE IS OUT OF CONTROL. Werner Weber, Jun 20 2023 The unbridled poaching of wild animals in the Manyeleti Game Reserve has gotten out of hand and drastic steps must urgently be taken to put a stop to it. The FF Plus viewed shocking video footage taken of a male leopard with a cable snare abound its body in this Big-Five Reserve. The snare had drawn so tight that it left a deep, large, gaping wound all the way around its body.
This is not the first animal caught in a snare in this Reserve. Snares must frequently be removed from lions and hyenas. The fence between the Reserve and the surrounding local community is in a terrible condition, and poachers simply walk into the Reserve with their hunting dogs.
The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) conducts nearly no anti-poaching operations during the night. In an official letter to the MEC for Tourism and Economic Development, Ms Nompumeleleo Hlophe, the FF Plus posed pertinent questions about anti-poaching initiatives and also requested an urgent meeting with her. The policing of game and poaching must be intensified. A permanent anti-poaching unit that patrols day and night must also be established. Action must be taken at once, because in a decade’s time and at the current rate of poaching, there will be very little left of many of the species in Manyeleti, which borders on the Kruger National Park.

It should be a blasphemy for Mynelety, Sabi Sands authorities, and lodge owners to use Talamati Breakaways name in vain. This is simply not just about the S8 Imbali or about not having luck or about the lioness not being able to provide/hunt for youngsters. This is 💯 % due to egregiously negligent and incompetent and corrupt conservancy management by all of them. It is a fact that the Talamati Breakaways is pride WHERE IT LITERALLY TOOK (from April 2023 to November 2023) TAKING DOWN ALL 4 ADULT MEMBERS OUT in their core territory ONE BY ONE (none from natural causes in the wild) BEFORE EVEN A SINGLE ONE OUT OF THE FIVE TALAMATI BREAKAWAYS KIDZ DIED. IT IS A ALSO A FACT THAT 3/4 ADULTS OF DIFFERENT AGES EXHIBITED EXACTLY THE SAME SYMPTOMS FROM HIGHLY MOBILE AND HEALTHY TO SUDDENLY SICK, VOMITING, white foam on the mouth, EXCESSIVE THIRST, AND STATIONARY, QUICKLY DETERIORATING AND DEAD IN 48-82 HOURS and THE 4TH ONE SNARED AND SHOWN ONE MONTH LATER STILL BLEEDING FROM THE CORNERS OF HER MOUTH on WE Nov 25 2023 sunset drive., which explains why a sole remaining provider lionesses who who took down zebras, kudus, buffalo and fed all five kidz from June 2023 to end of October 2023 all of a sudden has trouble- she was/ is pain and does not have the strength to grab to suffocate the pray without causing rein-jury to the corners of her mouth. Cedric says they lost their body mass after S8 died. They lost body mass two weeks before S8 died after this lioness was snared and Cedric and WE supported inadequate care provided for not releasing the lioness near the kidz after removing the snare and providing a meal or to just for a jump start especially since there is no debate that snare was human caused. Not only that but they embedcompassionate discrediting comments to give impression that the lionesses is in a fantastic condition and that they are a weak pride that have trouble hunting throughout other episodes and in this video. Back as early as Oct 23 and 25, they received feedback from many to do a fundraiser to fund this effort quickly as many would have donated to prevent exactly what happened since clearly the lioness needs time to recover from the snare and kidz were loosing body mass and mom could not find them for 2 weeks and then just as they reunited S8 got poisoned but WE chose to dedicate their air time to carving pumpkins for American viewers., Tintswalo happy they waled over to Djuma to vomit or bleed from snare but Allister is one of the main contributors to gossip about S8 that Cedric reiterates. Recently WE did fundraising for their own equipment so clearly when it comes filling their business needs not conservancy they are fully capable. WE also keeps trying to make the kidz to be older than they are- the two remaining are 23 or 24 months old. He also keeps saying 3, 31/2 and 4 year olds come into estrus and give birth. I watched for years, never saw such young lionesses come that early into estrus and in fact most coalitions kill them because they are too young just like PCs and Ndzengas did. N Avocas and Gijima spearing the young females is extraordinary not a norm. Also they were already a strong pride of 3 lionesses (none who were “old” - Matiba sired was 9 1/2 old when she was poisoned and euthanized in April 2023); and Selati sired in 2016 was 7 years old as ais this remaining lioness who turns 8 now- and if conservancy cared to investigate and raise alarm to stop using cheap rodents poison at one or all 3 lodges in the north, then this would never have happened and conservacy would have had a strong and competent pride for future generations of males but as it is, due to poor job they are doing there are less prides and adult female capable if raring young within the prides than there are males… years of neglect. Only nature can fix this appropriately and that would entail making all this a nature preserve with zero interference meaning no lodges only protection from others getting in and bringing tourists from outside in. It would be less costly too but that will never happen because they only care to fill up the lodges and keep lodges rats free from tourists and push guides to show big five with thinking they can always relocate lions from one area to another or bread them and release them but that will never be as successful as protecting the native prides.

Absolutely love watching your episodes, very entertaining and tremendous wildlife camera shots. One point of feedback: quite often you mention lion prides and some locations in the park but I'm not familiar enough with the layout of the park to know where you're describing. It might be good during each of your safari episodes, when you mention a pride of lions or a location within the park, if you could also show a quick map with a highlight or pointer to identify where in the park you're seeing the animals. It just helps us watching at home put some perspective on the sighting as it relates to other prides or activities that you've discussed.

Be great if You could edit in some video of the Trackers at work. That's only if trackers like being in the bush with cameras and vehicles.

I’ve been following the virtual safari since the covid pandemic and it’s been fantastic! Out of the many virtual safaris I follow such as Londolozi and Mala Mala, yours is by far the best. Clear and engaging stories, regular videos and updates and a focus on the lions mixed with big game and birds is brilliant. I really enjoy the way you focus on the lion prides then around it cover all the other amazing wildlife you encounter while out on game drives. When I’m able to come out to the greater Kruger again (I was in the Klaserie reserve for a few days last year) I will be hoping to visit Tintswalo for sure! Hard to ask you to improve the virtual safari given how much time and effort you put in to it, keeping up the regularity of the videos is key and not sure if possible but live streaming sighting would be immense! Thanks

Hi you guys have really kept the flag flying with regular videos and updates allowing people to connect and follow the goings on in your little patch of Africa - Tristan I don’t know your background or qualifications but you seem to have a very creative and at times artistic perspective of the sightings and surroundings- so keep that up - are you allowed to utilise drones? I have had the good fortune of visiting Manyaleti and would really appreciate reference back to your reserve map as to where a lot of the dams and prominent landmarks are - looking forward to more videos thanks

Thank you for asking for our feedback; you all are so knowledgeable that it is quite humbling to be asked to give our opinion!🌷
Personally I'd like if the filming lingered just a bit more on the lions. I can't get enough of their social dynamics😃 Might it be possible to point out particular identifying marks/traits/etc from lion to lion or pride to pride? I can't always tell the differences between them by name alone.
I'm personally not as interested in the insects. Elephants fascinate me as well.

Thanks for all your hard work Tristan. A lot to like about the channel this year. Great camera work , some epic shots, super closeups, and scenery shots that give a real feeling of what it's like to be in the bush in Africa. I think the variety of wildlife has really shone through. It's great to see the big cats, hyena, elephants, wild dogs, but you have shown lots of other wildlife too, this gives a broader picture of what it's like to go on safari. There must be so much to see, unexpectedly, something different everyday. Some beautifully coloured birds I've never heard of, terrapins, insects, more of the same please, keep doing what you're doing :)

A+ for 2023, like any nature lover ,I love the have the video be longer, like all day lol lol na, everything was great, just most of all, is to put out the correct information on what's going on , not that any of your films information was wrong or not true, but there's so many channels out there with bad or incorrect information on lion Dynamics or animal story's! so much area to cover and differnt things going on in Kruger, Sabi, timbavarti, and of course the great Red Road production ! that to me is the most important, is putting out the correct information that you have at that time! So anyway, Thank you for a great year , A+ like I stated , Happy New Year, stay safe and God bless to all !

ZigZag and Shaka, the Mbiris, were likely in a fight with Mandevu and Ncile, and probably another fight with other males within last few weeks. Certainly either TB or some other illnesses or worms or other elements are impacting them, too. They are such characters and distinctive males, I hope they will stay strong and defend Birmingham for another 2-3 years.
I suspect they (managers, rangers) do hope lions will develop resistance against TB, but I don't see any proactive actions to fight it, nor I expect any.
P.S. I've never seen Tintswalo guides to reply to posts here, at least not recently.

New subscriber. My only problem is not understanding some of the pride names being said; is it possible to slow down a bit so these unfamiliar names can be understood -- especially since (1) these are very unfamiliar to an American & (2) the slight accent makes it a bit harder to understand. Example, did you say the "Nari" pride had 4 cubs?
Suggestion: you might consider using a flat glass over the map because the glass causes a glare, making it somewhat difficult to see -- also maybe honing in a bit closer on the map when you point to a location. Thank you.

I really hope the mama/aunt and two sub-adults make it. I'm just so heartbroken over everything that has happened to them. S8 could have been saved. That is my opinion, and I'm sticking by it. I don't believe and will never believe it was TB like they claim.

If lodges didn’t use cheap and inappropriate rodent control poison then S8 and the TB lionesses who died in the same way too past April and June would not need saving- they did not die from natural causes. If they made a smidgen of effort to release the sole remaining lioness near her kids after removing the snare on oct 23 2024, and given them a jump start meal or two instead of watching mom and kidz miss eachother for two weeks while kidz were loosing nody mass and eating stick, then the kidz would have survived too. 4/4 or 💯 % of adult members taken down, none by natural causes, 3 exactly same symptoms from highly mobile and healthy to stationary vomiting and foaming from the mouths, quickly deteriorating and dying in 48-72 hours like rats. None of the five kidz died until all 4 of the adults were taken down so nothing to do with the pride itself - the lioness was hunting for kidz zebras, kudus buffalo until she was snared and a month later she still has bleeding from the corners of her mouth just like Ncile did, indicating she is in pain and does not have strength in the jaw to grab and suffocate the pray as she used to before the snaring. Very poor and negligent conservation efforts
