this type update should be every couple weeks or monthly as its fascinating to hear where the prides and coalitions are and I would submit it would be neat to look back on the interactions periodically 6 / 12 months. Maybe even use the map (thats for sale) and have some moving graphics . . . I know thats a lot of man hours, but believe others would also enjoy that level of updates. Thank you for this update !

That was a great presentation of the lion dynamics in the area. Very informative of the present situation! This is so fascinating to listen to! Who would have know that the lions in South Africa have their own soap opera going on with all the drama and sex you could ask for! I LOVE it!

Good to see you Alistair. This Map is beautiful, excellent, special... the perfect Lion Lovers Mother's Day🎁 I manifested your incredible presentation. Only a couple days ago I thought to comment & request regular updates of Lion dynamics on this beautifully illustrated map every 4 or 6 months. Alistar you are right on time and you really got the assignment. However, I again implore you not to give up on Red Road Male. Good luck is his destiny including the heroics of your team which has made you favorite of many in addition to your excellent content. Well wishes and positive expectations and energy are powerful. King Red Road has always been a remarkable protector, courageous, intelligent, capable in battle, hard working, and loving, I'd hoped he would move on forming a Coalition with his subadult sons, but since its mating season.... The Nharu Pride is very blessed to have Red Road after the unfortunate Open Male's betrayal when an Mbiri Lioness deleted a Nharu Lioness. So much attention is showered on the Tintswalo Mbiri family but their paws seem to tread on shaky roads. I imagine Lambile with a different partnership that treats him better. Lambile would be a good fit if Red Road does a Notch Coalition Situation. Although at far distance, he would likely be warmly welcomed by his brother Tumbela Male. Most especially, I would love for Experienced, Solo, Super Pride Kings Imbali Male & Red Road Male to form an Amazing Coalition for more security with brotherly bonding. That would make a Marvelous Manifestation.🦁🦁👑

Good job for explaining the lion pride area. Wow, i am surprised to see how small that map looks, so many lion prides for such a small land. Now i see why the prides encounter each other and start fighting for territory and end up killing each other. The state should buy more land so all the lions can have more space.🌍

To the commenter regarding Red road , You said you disagree with what Alistair said in regards to RR ? I always thought he had a soft spot for him ? Then the two that succumbed to TB were really close to his heart I gathered , I know working with wildlife some get hardened and it’s natures way and you except how it plays out , Did you imply he was hoping RedRoad got replaced by being killed or ran off ? I thought that too , Just said it casually so I may if misinterpreted that ? Seems like the lions have a limited territory to have to coexist in these times in our world , Sure would of liked to know if it’s close to this always or there was so much vast unfenced land without domestic cattle bringing TB and it’s natives livelihood so it’s a political issue as poaching for the much needed money . I won’t get answers but asking ? Kevin

That’s a Great Breakdown of the dynamics Alistair of what’s actually transpiring in that region , Cyclone Freddy my friend who lives near Kruger endured and the water was powerfully blowing through by crocodile bridge prior to the cyclone 🌀 Freddy hitting , So RedRoad did I hear correctly it was wanted a bigger group to run RedRoad off to lead that pride ? Also that young Torchwood male isn’t the one who teamed up with that young 5(ish now) Birmingham male who the Ross Brothers couldn’t run off for four years as he was in and out of their coalition , He is the son of the lone Birmingham the Ross Boys ran off , His name in the last year he got was Osindile , If you don’t know in your area or ? Much about him he’s in my humble opinion a lion with fortitude and resilience and wit that even you would be impressed by , I am out most of my life in the Sierra Nevadas of Ca and neighboring states and in Natural Resources and understand wildlife though the difference there is different but close in some regards , QUESTION , Is it causing a problem there being a smaller than it was at its best of times there in the size of the area they all have to find sufficient territory with game to support the number of prides and incoming nomads to prides crossing over ? I was just curious in that regard , Ole Red road is zigzagging around to smartly avoid conflict and a few hindquarter injuries have wised him up quite a bit , Just grew on me, You guys should be good on water ! Winter coming soon in your area right ? I will get one of those maps shortly and it’s great for reference and to help correspond intelligently and understand geographically that region as all this unfolds , Take Care Kevin .

YBM (previously with "injured" included :) was one of the 1st lions that I started following during the lockdown. I guess he's outside of the territory that these guides follow, he's rarely spoken of anymore. I want to know if he had cubs. Wish we could see him with the Birminghams/ males (including white lions) for awhile it was thought that they would join forces as he's about 1-2 years older than them..... “It’s exciting, hope they come down and challenge Tanswallo, I hope they (and all from whoever and all over get rid of RedRoad….” Then again and again and 89 comments full of bravado at the presentation and the narrative. This person not only works here and may I say but enjoys expressed gratitude and respect. This presentation was not just uncomfortable but frightening. I almost thought I accidentally clicked into something short of dog fighting ring. No wonder these lions disappear. Ironically Red Road male a single lion saw to more kids survive than most big number coalitions. Luv S8 but in terms of cold blooded numbers and fitness in comparison he abandoned a pride of 21 which dwindled and has now only 5 kids whose chances of survival are less than Red Road’s kids. Luv Tanswallos but they did not have to take over any pride but just return to their native pride by luck yet two of them always sick although young (but that is why he probably wants them gone too once of course the RR is out). I am unsubscribing before this group starts talking outloud that allowing a few poachers slip through for a few bucks to get rid of those tenacious survivors too old for business helps out conservancy as trophy hunting does. I hope that none of your hopes come to pass. Unbelievable.

Yup, absolutely atrocious and instead of being at forefront in investing in stopping poaching, wild life trafficking, ego hunting and coming up with out of the box solutions to put safe boundaries for wildlife not to be venturing out of the parks where humans are and advocating to work with all neighboring countries to extend wildlife territories and protection and curb corruption. Wild life and nature will take care of genetic diversity just fine. It is one thing using knowledge and insight to educate where prides and coalitions are and the dynamics (which sure is helpful) but quite another to throughout the entire narration, repeatedly and unequivocally embed his personal feelings what he hopes to happen (all which are downright frightening and inconsistent with what I would expect from the wild life conservationist but more from an unscrupulous businessman. I know I am coming off strong but really shocked listening to how he talks and uses his words so since all who I admire thought me to be brave to say something if I see or hear something even at expense of embarrassment and before it can lead to harm.
