- This sea fishing rig how to, covers the dongle rig, for rough ground sea fishing. this version of the dongle rig uses very few components to keep tackle loss down when fishing rough ground. this is not the pennel pulley version of the dongle rig. but something a bit difrent like more of a big game variant of the dongle rig. / @starfishseafishing

Used this rig alot very simple and very effective 👍 two points to note 1 use the sedra combination swivels (three way) they save on using the extra clip and 2 use a 80lb bomb length and tie a short length of 18 lb to the end then the imp to that helps no end in reducing tangles with these two small changes. 👍must try the grinder knot 🤔 must be a northern thing lol . Ace vid and nice to see you back on it 🎣😎💪

A strong 3 way swivel will do a better job. Top-mainline, Middle-rotten bottom line, Bottom-hook snood. I use this with a S clip that you hang your bait and lead on for casting. Less component and cheaper

good tutorial not tried rotten bottom yet but i have up the stuff for pulley dongle rigs. Find this type only good fish that tend to gulp the bait straight away.

Great video, only think I could ask is would it be possible to do a close up shot of the rig once all tied up as its hard to see from the distance with small tackle!

@@StarfishSeaFishing The other thing about this rig is that it's very good for casting large or small baits as the bait and the lead travel as one, doesn't helicopter
So you made a hair rig, because that's hiw freshwater fishermen do it with the knotkess knot.
simple and basic rig, yes basically. if your fishing very rough ground then just keep it simple with less component's.
@@StarfishSeaFishing I use replacable rotten bottoms I can attach to any rigs at different lengths depending on how heavy the ground is.
@@mtadave6702 the rig is a version of a big game dongle rig, without the detachable dingle dangle. to keep it simple. the rig has been around for a long time. i did not invent it. just something a bit difrent. and another option for fishing rough ground. and yes i also use detable rotten bottoms on many other rigs.
