Seen your vid last night and made a few this morning, first one was a fxxk up lol. But after I seen where I was going wrong. The next 3 were all spot on and working as they should. Looking forward to using them when next I go. Cheers for the vid.
Thanks Paul, was looking for a 'heavy up an over' for long range beach tope fishing at Rossall. With the Trident hangover you can't get a snood line thicker than 60lb to sit in it, so this is a brilliant alternative. Will prob use with a solo clip as I fish with a fixed spool. Good luck with the MSSA! Rich (Mersey Motley Crew).
the cascade was out well before the hangover clip it is a good set up but i feel the cascade is much better and much easier to hook up the hangover clip if it was A tad wider and deeper it would be greatly improved.
Hi paul going off this subject just bought a slosh 30 and when casting it starts ok then fluffs up do u have the spool tight so thers no play in it or just a bit of movement I am using 7oz weight n big baits ther is a vid u made on serviceing this reel but I can’t find it Ta Jimmy
adjust the spool tension a tad tighter and use the red brake blocks and add some yellow rocket fuel oil there not the best casters in the world but there a very good work horse and are the best for rough ground fishing
Thanks Colm 👍 safer for the pulley version of the up and over as the snood can take pressure on the cast just the same as a normal pulley rig can and I mainly use the pulley version for rough ground fishing for rays and huss ,👌

@@davidmcilveen5013 much better design the spring set up is faultless
Superb tutorial Paul. Becoming my favourite rig the up and over, fixed and pulley rig. Superb on the hounds and rays 👍🏻
spot on ste i use the pulley version for huss so it dont spook them
Great way of making the up and over 👍Great videos keep them going 👍
Thanks, will do!

Nice vid Paul. I've just made up a few rigs using the Trident Hangover as I had a few kicking about. Will see how they perform. Tight lines!

Spot on laa 👌 I've been trying to buy that 1kg of varivas sport in yellow been out of stock for weeks . Get me reels ready for tope session...
Stock levals have not been good hope they stock up soon as I need more 25lb also 👍
do like your vids on rigs .. some little quirks that work quite well ... thx :)
thanks glad you liked them
I like the Cascade modification but why not use a Trident Hangover ? which could be less prone to pick up weed ?
the cascade was out well before the hangover clip it is a good set up but i feel the cascade is much better and much easier to hook up the hangover clip if it was A tad wider and deeper it would be greatly improved.
I agree about the Hangovers, the slot could be "deeper" and a tad wider.👍
@@simonyoung908 only thing that need a bit of a tweek good otherwise.
I've tweaked a couple of my Roto clips with a Dremel so the bend of a size 2 sits in there better .
@@simonyoung908 good idea simon

Great video, where did you get the crimp tool?
Hi mate new sub for ya.
Where do you get the bulk spools of shockleader from thanks
@anthonyleithead3224 you can find them on ebay and amazon etc.

Can the trident up n over clip be used for this instead of the cascade swivel?
Yes it can no problems
Some top quality tips there as usual Paul ill be making this one 👍just wondering why so heavy snood line?
Thanks Colm 👍 safer for the pulley version of the up and over as the snood can take pressure on the cast just the same as a normal pulley rig can and I mainly use the pulley version for rough ground fishing for rays and huss ,👌

Heavy ??, I use 80 lbs for all my Ray snoods, They last a bit longer that way.
@@southerner4566fair play,i never caught a ray from the shore maybe thats why haha ive made a couple of those rigs going try for a ray this weekend cheers👍
What mono is your rig body (make n model for the 80lb)?
Good idea with the cascade.
i am using berkley trilene big game in 80lb or i use rovex 10x 80lb
You were using hangover clips on the the other rig! Have you binned them off
They are OK but I prefer the old way with the cascade clip If I am honest 👍
Some times the old ways are still the best 💪👍
