This was more than just a highlighting lesson; it was a mini Bible study 😊 something I have been missing for a long time
    Thank you!

I need to see some more examples of this!!!! I would love to do something like this. It makes it so hard to want to mark up a premium bible until I’ve found the right system. 😅

    Tips:
(from the link in the description)
    1. Where do I start? Paul’s letters make this method incredibly easy to apply. Start with Romans.
    2. Look for key words that start or continue logical thought such as “therefore,” “but,” and “for.”
    3. Make sure you’re right before you mark. That is one thing I love about this method is that it forces me to really go back and check the logical progression of any passage. I want to make sure I understand it before I start applying the highlighter.
    4. Get a study Bible with detailed outlines at the beginning of each book. MacArthur’s study Bible does this. It will help you, at the very least, to find the main points in each book and then you can follow the logic from there.
    5. Use different colored pens and shapes to mark subject matter, not a highlighter color. This gives you way more freedom and options to cover the vast number of subjects you’ll find in Scripture.
    6. This does not mean you should highlight every single verse in your Bible. Just hit the main points. Not everything will fit perfectly into an outline.
    7. Apply this method to every academic book you read. I can’t tell you how many times this has come in handy for me. I love being able to go to my bookshelf, open a book, and instantly have a visual outline of the writer’s arguments. It’s fantastic!
    8. Oh, and if you’re looking for highlighters that don’t bleed through, I’ve found the Zebrite Bible Highlighters to be the best. Just don’t mash down too hard!

I looked into Dr. Harris' method, even looking at the Facebook page where I learned about his terminal disease. Has he passed, or is he still on this Earth? I knew a man years ago who suffered (actually the whole family did) from this disease and he eventually passed. It didn't take long. My heart grieved for Dr. Harris and his family, so that's why I ask.

This was a bit much for me to take in. I’ll bookmark it to review a few more times.

Hey, I was watching your video on this. And I’m having a bit of a hard time understanding how to apply it. I actually just bought a new King James Bible just to try it out, but I was wondering if you can go into further detail on your highlighting method.

Remember it is said in the video : this method not so good for stories for ex in OT. But suitable
      for the NT epistles.

Curious to what you do in non-epistle books? I really like this but struggling to apply it accross the board.

I will do my best to carve out some time for another highlighting video, for sure!

I decided to stick with Dr. Harris' suggested order found here: glorybooks.org/revealing-dr-harris-highlighting-method-for-bible-study/ But, honestly, you can choose whatever color scheme you prefer when you color code your outline.

Thanks Hans. I like the concept for individual book study. Can it be used for topical study? If so, how do recommend applying it?

Thanks! I'm not sure what that would look like. I know you can apply this method to other books and some have used it with textbooks/reference materials. If I had all the time in the world, I would probably do that. Regardless, let me know if you discover a new way to use this method!

I would suggest to begin using erasable color pencils
