Always a pleasure to watch these two. The Earl, is a gentleman and the Countess, is very entertaining. They've obviously had a beautiful life here and have graciously passed the oversight to their son and his wife. I enjoy the tours. Thanks for sharing..

Thank you so much again to the Earl and Countess for sharing their wealth of knowledge with us. I find it fascinating to not just hear about the history of the construction of Mapperton but also repair work and why it needed the repair work over time. There are so many wonderful stories from the families who have lived there that are wonderful to hear.

I so look forward to seeing and seeing the Earl and his lovely wife the countess of Sandwich when they do their educational tours of Mapperton. I love the way they talk in great detail about everything. Because of my visual impairment and what is going on my eyes right now. I have to be careful and not strain my eyes. So I can't watch my even my phone for example or even the TV even though it's big enough. I have to instead close my eyes and let my imagination take over. Your mother and father are just wonderful for doing this because I can see almost everything in vivid detail. I hope Sunday when I do get to come and visit mapperton I will be able to meet them . With with much love ♥️and respect Bridget from Portage Michigan.🌹💜
    P. S. I wanted to let you know that if words come out weird or strange I'm having a heck of a time with my phone right now. I'm also waiting to see if I can get some instruction on how to use a talking program in my computer which my phone has but it's not working very well right now.

Earl & Countess of Sandwich, it is a pleasure to hear both of you giving your subscribers a history lesson on all things Mapperton. I could not get over those ceilings. The time it took to do them. Detail...detail...detail. I am an 'ancient' history buff, but I was directed to British (English) aristocrats due to the vastness of history and some ancient history. I realize that Luke & Julie have taken the reins of Mapperton, maybe something could be planned for in the future (once this pandemic run its course) like..."Tea with the Earl & Countess of Sandwich". As an American, I would find that fascinating.
As for that person who made a rude comment..."When the elderly die; a library is lost and volumes of wisdom and knowledge are gone." ~Dr. Bob Gray, Sr.
Most importantly..."Don't regret growing older. It's a privilege denied to many." ~ Author unknown
BTW, I did not see where to purchase the Mapperton book. Will that be in British pounds or American dollars?
Another thing, will Mapperton be selling tea cups and saucers? I collect them (nearly 30 years). This is something else I would buy.
    Cheers mates, 🥰

Anyone who comments on your memory must be very jealous, because your memories are astoundingly good! i will buy the book, and I want you to reprint more copies of Mapperton Moments, so I can buy them together, please! I tried for months to buy the latter, and got no reply. Maybe you don't ship to Canada? I could listen to the two of you all day, so please continue making more films. Such a treat to be guided by the Earl and Countess of Sandwich through the rooms with fascinating ceilings going back centuries! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for us. It is greatly appreciated!
A program on the china, different patterns, with a set table (so Julie can learn!) would be amazing. Are there separate sets for breakfast, luncheon and dinner? Formal for royal visits, or 'every day' and the differences would be great. Which families (or are these exclusive to the Montagu's?) used which sets? During which time periods? What about the cutlery (flatware for the Americans)?
Another fascination would be the textiles! The velvet drapes... from Hinchingbrooke or original to Mapperton? The rugs...the tapestries! And of course, the furniture! The wall paneling... The flooring! It is all so interesting to those of us who are entranced by old houses, you have no idea!
Off to order that book! Thank you again for this wonderful channel. It is just amazing that it is all done by just a handful of very talented and knowledgeable people. Great job!
