My favorite scene is the one with your mother talking about the artwork of the manor, "The third piece of plaster in position is a reproduction of a very small part of the frieze from the Temple of Bassae in the Peloponnese, and it shows Amazon women being defeated by Greek men - which is incredibly irritating. Often when I'm taking tours around, I say this to people and I see women looking really quite put out by it.
I love the Christmas episodes, the chocolate ice-cream episode with your father-in-law, and the garden tours with your mother-in-law. They are both so knowledgeable! Thanks for the fun glimpses into such a beautiful place in the world.

All the videos are lovely but I particularly liked the scenes where Nestor was spending time with Luke to look at the photos that his night cam took or basically just the videos where he gushes about his rewilding project. It’s just something you don’t see everyday where teens are that interested in the environment and actually doing something about it outside of school work.
I discovered your channel via the pool clean up video which I thought was fabulous because Julie is just a fantastic presenter. But my most favourite video so far is the white park cattle. And, I might be imagining this, but there is an outside chance that I was that person who toured Mapperton and made the comment about the curtains. It would have been early 2000s . 🤭

Julie, can I put in a little ad for the beautiful Chateau du Fraisse near Limoges? We know, ( I can't name drop and say 'friends'), but this family struggles on in their large house and acreage. They too had an American lady who married into the family, who helped keep the fabric of the building in repair..then..but life is tough now(they wouldn't like me to say that!). Hard work keeps the farms working. Visitors would be good. They 'do' weddings and such, but not everyone has a TV series about their house or their chateau.

Yes. I enjoy ALL your videos too but I really enjoyed when you decorated Mapperton at Christmas! You were making the wreaths and swags and I loved it! Mapperton was so enchanting in the evening when all the lights were on in those absolutely beautiful windows. Visiting Mapperton is on my bucket list! I JUST LOVE IT!! ❤️❤️
I can see the difference between the American and the English. One is a golden retriever personality and the other appears to be an apathetic cat. LOL. I like it. This is why I get along with British people in general because I am far from the outgoing American. I am outgoing, but not overly excitable unless it's something I really really am crazy about. To answer your question, I really enjoyed it when Luke's parents talk about the history of the property, when Julie talks about what she has to wrap her head around the rules and etiquette and when they talk about the property and the maintenance and responsibility of being a steward of such beautiful place filled with history.

One of the most appealing things about your vids is the informal way you present yourselves and all the wonderful things you share. You really come across as a truly loving couple and family which is becoming rare these days. I hope that you can always live in what appears to be joyous and fun-lovimg respect for each other. Yes. I enjoy ALL your videos too but I really enjoyed when you decorated Mapperton at Christmas! You were making the wreaths and swags and I loved it! Mapperton was so enchanting in the evening when all the lights were on in those absolutely beautiful windows. Visiting Mapperton is on my bucket list! I JUST LOVE IT!! ❤️❤️

I can see the difference between the American and the English. One is a golden retriever personality and the other appears to be an apathetic cat. LOL. I like it. This is why I get along with British people in general because I am far from the outgoing American. I am outgoing, but not overly excitable unless it's something I really really am crazy about. To answer your question, I really enjoyed it when Luke's parents talk about the history of the property, when Julie talks about what she has to wrap her head around the rules and etiquette and when they talk about the property and the maintenance and responsibility of being a steward of such beautiful place filled with history.
