incredible that this small plastic part is responsible for the entire engine running correctly and that it's hard to replace and you are not advised to replace until it fails and you are stranded ...
Good video. That’s one thing that is aggravating about working on cars and light medium duty trucks is that most of the time it is harder getting everything out of the way than it is to do the actual job itself ! Great job on this video. It’s hard to film yourself and show the steps like you need to do and you did a great job on it.
If you’re referring to the red can, it was dielectric grease on the plug side to help with the connection and keeping moisture out to prevent corrosion
I apologize for just getting to your comment, to the best of my knowledge it’s just that one. Stock it’s plastic and will crack and short out I replaced mine with a metal one and haven’t had any issues since
I saw your brake rotor was in excellent condition. I'm finding the disk brakes in my 2012 frontier are lasting a very long time and the rotor at 192,000 miles still looks excellent. Are you finding the same thing?
I don’t either now that you mention it, their is different ones of those sensors the one that came out didn’t have the O-ring and the one I replaced it with came from Nissan and it didn’t have it either. You may have a different sensor design in yours depending on the date of manufacture of the vehicle they may have noticed an issue and changed it. It’s been 3 years and I haven’t had an issue with it since

Koon Trucking thank you very much
Thanks for the video! My crank angle sensor has not failed yet and now I have it all planned out what I need to do.
What kind of fluid did you put on the inside of sensor before you installed thank you

I have a 2012 nissan frontier. I disconnected the battery and layed atop the motor , felt for it and removed and changed it. I changed bank 1.
Thats the camshaft position sensor not crankshaft.
I just layed on top the motor
Not sure if you still reply to this channel but I just replaced mine on the right is there another one I need a worry about or is it just that 1

Rotors seem to be doing good, I have replaced the pads since I’ve it almost 5 years and just replaced the pads once so far
I didn't see the rubber o ring on the old or new sensor?
