I learned the importance of casting after fishing the back of the boat position in Bass tournaments. The guy on the bow gets to target all the honey holes first but I found many anglers couldn’t hit them or wouldn’t risk or even try to get into tight cover where fish were hiding. I would nail all the spots they missed and out catch them despite fishing “used” water. My brother has a simple saying: if your not getting hung up in the mangroves your not trying hard enough. I’ve talked to people who are think it’s a waste to cast under a dock because any decent fish will just break you off… hogwash, even with light tackle I can get big snook out by using rod angle and pressure at key times during the fight. Sure you’ll lose some, but a fish lost is better then just casting conservatively outside of the dock and receiving no bites all day. Confidence is key and it takes time to build it up.
Truth. I learned to fish in a small river in Pineforge PA and had to land lures in very small targets to present the lure around small stumps and stones. Has made a big difference. So the hula-hoop practice will pay off. My fishing buddies get frustrated when we go river wading when I catch 5 fish to their 2 😂😂😂

It’s something a lot of people don’t realize. Being just a few inches or a foot off can make the difference between a strike or nothing
Awesome advice.. I thought I was good, but I'm going to try it out thanks
So true !!! This is great, Pat!
Good evening thank you for this information.
Positive energy, creates good days.......👣🌴
Great tips
But casting accuracy is very important so good point.
Huh
Front facing sonar would sure help those 90% know where to put the bait at.
Nah that's too much.. Just cast where the birds at and you get a strike 🤣
Nah
egg zactly !
Cast net.. I’m good 🤙🤙🤙 catch more fish then all y’all combined guarantee.. why you think live bait ain’t allowed in tournaments..
Congrats on needing live bait
