I've got both of these and there's no contest - the sailor is way better made, the inner frame is much higher quality, the tools fit/fold away with better precision and it feels better to carry/use. The construction of the mini flagship is questionable and the first time I attempted to use the scissors the blades ground on each other making them pretty rough (I emailed the company who only offered me a partial refund and I had no option to purchase replacement scissor blades). There's a lot of play/movement in most of the hinges/connections in the flagship too... The pros for the flagship are screwdriver reach and the fact the design is a bit of a novelty to the untrained eye, if the scissors hadn't been faulty they could possibly have been another positive but I can't really praise them from experience. The Sailor mini is built with great precision and it's a pleasure to use! Both are UK EDC legal which is a bonus! Oh yea another point - there's so many ways to accidentally pinch your skin using the flagship mini too which loses it more points! I'd rate the sailor 7.5/10, flagship mini 5/10.
Good to hear your long term experience of using these two tools. I only use the thing for a couple weeks and review it. And later on may do a follow up review.
I'd choose the mini sailor, I think that it's better quality. The knife hinge spring on my flagship mini cracked almost straight away. The design of the springs is more robust on the mini sailor. I have both version of the mini sailor, the scissors on the full size version are extremely good, and much better than the flagship mini scissors. Pliers are about equal between the pliers version of the mini sailor and the mini flagship
How useful the pliers on the full size version compared to the pliers version? I'm thinking of getting the full size version since I don't need pliers outdoor as often as scissors, but I still want me some pliers. Now since neither pliers would be as good as a normal plier, would you say the full size version's mini pliers would work in a pinch? In summary, which one should I get? I will also get roxon ks2e so I will have a pocket knife with full size pliers anyways...
Mini flagship is a great design in concept, but the spring clips are faulty and quickly crack and fail. Don’t waste your money as they need to fix this design problem.
I really like the design format so after the first one failed I waited until they upgraded the knife and tried a couple more. All failed by spring clips breaking, so definitely faulty manufacturing.
I have both and they are each great in their own right. What it really comes down to is how important the scissors is for you. At the price they are these days, get them both!

If the scissors are important for you, you can choose the Mini Sailor Scissors. That's what I did.
Good call!

I've heard from a few people who had this issue. I don't use mine enough to have seen this happen

Ty for heads up mate
Nextool has remedied this problem. Just a heads up as I was also concerned.
Doing some great reviews. nice. Been looking at these exact two
Thank you mate! I'd pick the mini Flagship if I had to choose.

Yeah that's a good solution too haha
