I have carried multi tools most of my life, and trust me I am an old guy. I carried several Lethermens while I was working, now retired, for several years. I carried the Gerber dime but was never happy with it. I carried Nextool and found the scissors to be the best tool on them. What I settled on for EDC for a non work tool is the SOG Power Pint. What I find I need more than anything is a bit driver and SOG makes one of the best bit driver systems, pliers SOGs are adequate and occasionally scissors SOG scissors leave a lot to be desired.
old guy!? I wonder what the definition of that is these days. Guess it's all relative. Haven't heard of that SOG tool before, might drop them a message sometime. Looks like they have some nice tools.
Good day friend, thank you for your recognition for mini flagship. We have some multitool would lauched at the end of Apr earliest, like TAS pocket tool E1, which with the dual head bits, if you are interested, please follow us to check further.
Love my mini flagship, keep it in my desk, and use it at least 4 times during the day. I have other multi tool sets, but I keep coming back to this one.
@@DarrenYeoYT Right. The Mini Sailor has big pliers and small scissors. The Mini Sailor Scissors has big scissors and small pliers. The Mini Flagship has big pliers and big scissors.
Exactly, mini sailor with 2 version, pliers and scissors. And now we have one more called mini sailor Lite, which is TSA friendly, let's looking forward its lauched.
Good day Darren, thank you for sharing NexTool Mini Flagship, the video explanation is very detailed, thank you so much. The full size sicssors is the main feature of mini flagship multitool, most of customer love this design, and I believe it would not let you down.
Hi there, I didn't realise you had a TH-cam channel, I'll try link to it in the video description. Yep, the scissors is my favourite feature especially because I use it the most! Cheers.
I’ve had three that let me down as the spring clips broke on all of them. Latest failure was purchased in the last month. When is this problem going to be solved on your tools please?
I've had a Mini Flagship for a year or so. I like that both the pliers and scissors are relatively large. I find it to be heavier than I prefer for a keychain tool. I carry a Victorinox Rambler with my keys.
@@DarrenYeoYT In the past some people complained about the spring for the scissors breaking off. I'm not sure if this was corrected in later production or not. Mine still works fine but it has had only light use.
Good day friends, we have mini multitool called mini sailor Lite would lauched on May, which is lighter than mini flagship, and the design similar with the mini sailor. Let's looking forward to it.
@@garyk4017 Hi, regarding to this problem, NexTool engineer always focus on, and they are refining at this moment, I believe the refine can reduce such situation. Let's looking forward to the refine
I like this and find it beats the LM Squirt PS4 on all tools except for the file, the Squirt file is more aggressive and also the edge has small teeth so it works as a hacksaw in a pinch. But the scissors on it are terrible, as is the soft 2D Phillips with no profile/indentations. This is the only multitool scissors as good as Victorinox and I mean the full size scissors, it's better than the small scissors on the Classic etc. So I carry the Nextool with a folder only, as it can cover every other small job I might come across with it's toolset. Other days I carry a Victorinox with scissors (Climber, Farmer X or Swisschamp) and sometimes Knipex Cobra too.
Too small. If Nextool ran a model in between the size of this tool and the full size flagship pro, with a pocket clip, it would be a much more useful tool. As is, mine lives in the junk drawer and the SOG Powerpint goes in my pocket.

Powerpint is cool. Wish they'd had the foresight to include a damn flathead/prytool instead of the useless can opener though.

It's way more durable than my other small multitools. Most use some kind of aluminium shell.
The Mini Sailor Scissors version also has a relatively large scissors, but with a tiny pliers.
I have the mini sailor and the pliers are a similar size!?

Yeah those scissors makes the tool more bulky but they're awesome. Let see how they hold up long term.

fantastic review, thank you. i am looking for a small edc keychain sized handy unit for light tasks. this looks perfect
Can't go wrong with this one, full stainless steel and large scissors/pliers!

Hey glad you enjoyed it bro!

You mean the pocket-watch pocket, not the coin pocket.
The spring on my Victorinox scissors has been work perfectly for just over forty year.
Lucky you, all of mine are broken!

Great to see you're getting good use out of the mini Flagship. The scissors are definately a big deal for me as I use them the most.
Check out the Nextool E1 Pocket Multitool, it's even better! Has a Leatherman type bit holder, hobby blade, box cutter and a pretty decent file.
Nice, will take a look. I was interested in that Gemini tool as well with the electric screwdriver.

I'll pass that feedback onto Nextool, I guess they wanted something that would fit easily on a keychain. Someone else mentioned the powerpint too.
Hi friend, allready record and would forward to our engineer, let's looking forward to further multitool.
I will take 3 at $10 each ...
They might be on aliexpress too
Ok so is it stainless steel or steel?!?!? lmao
