Thank you for these simple and clear instructions. I need to replace the fraying cord on a much loved NZ pounamu pendant, wasn't sure of how the sliding knot system worked but can now get a length of new cord from my local Hobbycraft shop here in the UK and do it myself.
i have to look up videos like this once every few years when i replace the string on my everyday necklace. This video was by far the most helpful one I have found so far! Thanks!
Thank you!! I agree that this is thee best, easiest, most clearly communicated & demonstrated (& did I say quickest?? YAAAY) of alllllllll the videos I have watched to learn this technique🙌 GREAT job 👍🎉‼️
Greetings, New subscriber here, thank you for clearly demonstrating sliding knot with wonderful video editing. I've had a meaningful polished stone mounted in a beautiful setting and was finally able to wear it after watching your video!
❤❤❤ First I will admit that I have watched another tutorial no less than 20 times (no joke) and still couldn’t figure it out. And I can make a barrel knot, just not a sliding one. You, my dear taught me in within 3 minutes? I have subscribed and hit the bell! 🔔 😊
I realize this is an older video, but if anyone can help me with this problem, I would really appreciate it. I am making these type of bracelets to sell and I know how to make them, but I cannot figure out how to get them the correct size. Let's say for example I want the bracelet opening to adjust between the sizes of 6 inches to 10 inches. How do I make this possible. Am I supposed to place the knots a certain distance apart, am I suppose to have a certain amount of double cord between the knots? I just can't figure this out :( Exact measurements are important to me so I can be consistent in my size offerings on my website.
This design is secure without a knot at the end, as the knot is sliding along the other cord. Some designs you do need a knot on the end but not this one! Thanks for watching 🌼
Thank you so much. Out of all the videos I've watched so far you're the only person to demonstrate clearly how to make a sliding necklace easy.
This makes me so happy! Thanks for taking the time to share that feedback, so glad you enjoyed my video 😍

Great video :) Would you suggest tying a knot at each end so it doesn't slip out of the barrel knot or will it be secure without a knot?
This design is secure without a knot at the end, as the knot is sliding along the other cord. Some designs you do need a knot on the end but not this one! Thanks for watching 🌼
Thanks.
Thanks, hope I stop losing my crucifix now :)
