    He sure had a text-book jumper. Go up and come down in the same spot. It was beautiful to watch. The follow through was so breath-taking....

    I've always been a big fan of Phil Chenier's game. He was so smooth and had a great jump shot to go with a great all-around game. Too bad he lost to Golden State in the NBA finals who played their home games near where he developed his game on the local playgrounds.

      Classic off guard. Not a PG, but not his game of strength. Doug Collins similar. Too bad each had such short primes.

      @@dwightlove3704 some did call him that. Much of it had to do with facial similarities and Smooth Style. But he was not the ball-handler or Passer that Frazier was.

    Chenier and Clark were a great rival backcourt duo to Frazier and Monroe.. The Bullets duo is highly underrated among greatest backcourts ever.

    He really was a great player. I remember him from the Pac 8 league. His team at Cal was every bit as good as UCLA but they didn't have John Wooden. Too bad his career was cut short due to injury.

    Phil Chenier with his typical great, all around game, for the Baltimore Bullets, against the New York Knicks, at Cole Field House.

    where is 3 points line?

      @HiNRGboy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well there wasn't any. The NBA didn't have one until after the ABA folded in the late 70's...The ABA originated the 3 pt shot in '67. There might have been some other league that originated it even earlier though, I'm not sure.

    Wait, the Bullets were playing at Cole Field House *DURING THE REGULAR SEASON?????* I know that they played there sometimes during the playoffs when there were in Baltimore, but I don't ever remember hearing about them playing on Maryland's campus during the regular season. Then again, this was *WWWWAAAAAAAYYYYY* before my time. Or, was this a playoff game and I'm totally assuming by the date that this was a regular season game? If so, I apologize in advance.

      Randy Dubin It's regular season. I'm not sure why they were there either, maybe someone in the comments can clarify. I know these two teams played each other the night before as well so this was a b2b regular season matchup. That's also not something we see often today.

      Wilt Chamberlain Archive I'm only asking B/C a long time ago, I remember somebody UL'ed a Bullets playoff game from this era on here in parts (the videos have long since been deleted) that was played at Cole Field House. Forget what year, round, or team they played, tho.

      Randy Dubin It is my understanding that many teams would play games at other nearby locations in order to increase the league's fan base. Can't say for sure that was the case here, but it's my best guess.

      If you recall, the Bullets were the Baltimore Bullets first. When owner Abe Pollin left Baltimore, the Capital Centre in Largo was not built. The Bullets played home games at Cole Field House and we're known as the Capital Bullets. The uniforms you see in the video are what the Capital Bullets wore. The Capital Centre opened in December, 1973.

    Does anyone remember the day that Phil Chanel punch Walter Clyde Frazier of the New York Knicks

      If I am remembering correctly, Walt never punched back, but it fired him up, and he sunk about 8 fgs in a row.
