I watched those games. Back then ND played in the ACC. The Austin Carr Coliseum! Fantastic player in the biggest games!

I remember the name Austin Carr being used over and over back then. He was one of the absolutely greatest ever! And his praise of Notre Dame for expecting him to get a genuine education shows that he and the school were for real.

"Cavs' great?" Hey, kid who posted that header: NO, he wasn't. In fact, even the one All-Star Game he made he didn't deserve, back then every franchise had to have at least one representative. As a first-overall selection in the NBA draft, Carr's NBA career can be objectively considered a bust.

He’s not lmao, was a great player averaged more than 20 a game. Plus he was a cavs Star and a great point guard, you are just a salty warriors fan so stop talking. Respect the fact that Austin Carr is a star and is an all time great player

@@Ac-gh1mq Umm...no. He was a mad gunner. It wasn't until after he hurt his knee (a game I happened to attend) that he was forced to play more of a team game. And point guard?? You don't even know what position he played.

Bullshit he wasn't a bust. Team sucked half his career then he got hurt.

Another dumbass, he was not a bust, not even close, I believe his first three years he averaged over 20, he got injured (knee) and was never quite the same and graciously accepted a lesser role and was a contributor in that ‘Miracle of Richfield’ season

@@shermanmiller3203 Hey, moron, I was at that game when he hurt his knee! And yes, he was a bust. First overall pick, and didn't deserve to make even one All-Star team. That's a bust. And he averaged a little over 20 his first three seasons because he launched a lot of shots. And I'm not sure what "being a contributor" during their one 70s playoff season means.
