He Created a Closed loop system on his HOT water heater, moved by a pump, with a solenoid that open and closes by a inkbird temp controller.
None of this ever touches his salt water. the heat from his PEX coil in the sump transfers threw to the salt water.

How has that ink bird temp controller held up since you set up your system?

How much do you think you actually save with this setup vs individual or the whole room? Any issues during power outages?

    Very simple

I don’t understand this system. So the dirty fish tank water goes back into your home hot water heater? Which you then use to shower, run the kitchen sink, etc.?

Gore that’s exactly what i thought. Even if the water is getting filtered its still nasty. What does he use to cook or to wash his vegetables or himself??

The water from the heater goes through those 2 cylinders at the beginning of the video until it reaches desired temperature and then its shuts off that flow until needed again it never touches the aquarium water.

I think he uses heat exchangers the fish water doesn't mix with treated house water.

The pex line is coiled up in his sump, it transfers heat like a radiator would. The water doesn't come in contact with the house water, just simply transfers heat

@@fake1man175 this set up looks weird and I am too tired to pay attention to how he set it up. However, just wanted to inform you that you should not drink hot water from your faucet. That is nasty. The water sits in that tank for a long time, its old, it gets junk in it too.
Hopefully this guy is not actually putting the hot water in to the tank with the fish but idk...

@@voidremoved The water used to heat the aquarium goes through those 2 white cylinders at the beginning of the video so no water actually touches the aquarium water , it is heated via convection if I'm not mistaken.
