- CASH OUT, the new blue trail at Collie is incredible! I reckon it's one of the longest descending trails in Western Australia and is an absolute hoot to ride. Hats off to the trail builders for this one 👏
Thanks to Rohan @MTBWA for guiding me through.

From first-run warm up, to happily flowing, to fatigued and happy to call it a day...all in a single descent 😅
This is a perfectly choreographed ride. Everyone getting involved. Even Sam bitching about the pain. 🤙
This is probably the best trail in the area. It's awesome during the day, but it's truly epic under lights. It's definitely my favourite trail
Ohh now there's a challenge! Nice work
Nice mate. Would love to visit that trail. Looks fun though.
Looks epic, cant wait to get down there.
i saw you out at goat farm today
Wasn't it a mudder?! 😅 Getting some practice in for the next WAGE round?
yeah
@@RyanDillonMTB Haha i went as well! Still managed to do the 3 double blacks in the muddy conditions though!
Yeeew!
Yes mate.. we are going next weekend. 🤘🏻
How long is the climb up?
It's so good! You guys will love it. Best to shuttle though if you can. We rode up the road once, wouldn't recommend it! The up trail is apparently a bit nicer, but takes a long time.
@@RyanDillonMTB so you can shuttle? I thought it was a climb only spot.
You can definitely drive up most of the way (straight up a one way bitumen road), then it's a (relatively) short pedal up to the top. Cars are then forced to do a fairly big loop around back to the start, but the timing works out really well.
@@RyanDillonMTB thank you mate. That’s right up my alley 😆
At 6:05 in the video there is a rock on the right hand side that wanted to rip my right foot off every time 😅
Itching to hit those new Collie trails. That would have to be the longest downhill trail in WA !
Yeah I reckon it could be! Not that you've been missing out on too much by the look of things! 👍
Nice vid Ryan. I will have to get down there for a blast. looks Mint !😁
Ps: have you had a play around with gopro labs yet? Have a good one mate. 🤟
Cheers mate! Yeah do it, they are bloody awesome. GoPro labs, yes, I've got it installed at the moment. I was trying to improve jittery night footage by reducing the shutterspeed. But turns out you can do this without GoPro labs. So it looks interesting, but haven't come across anything I've really needed it for yet. Have you been playing with it?
@RyanDillonMTB Hey Ryan yep had a play around with the bit rate up to 180 and noise turned off, it's a habit hole though 🤣
Just messing with the flat colour at the mo, then colour correction. 👍
Yep it will suck you in for sure ha ha. Colouring correcting is an interesting one hey. I tried fixing the colour balance for a while there but my skills were not good enough to make it worthwhile over auto balanced. Let me know if you figure it out!

Hello. Just wondering what software did u use to put out telemetry data (speed distance etc)? Garmin virb edit? If virb edit, what did u do to make it work? Mine has that bug.
Hey there! Yes I used Garmin VIRB. There were some errors when trying to sync the gos footage. To work around that I made sure the video started at exactly the same time as the GPX data (manually tweak a bit if required) Hope that helps!
@@RyanDillonMTB so we just need to blindly render the video hoping data will match up. so for every run, u go start recording and bike comp at the same time, and ended both at the end. I bought license to telemetryoverlay software, but i still prefer virb. 😅 thank you for the info
it’s quite a decent climb up to the top of these trails
I didn't get to ride the climb, was the gradient ok?
@@RyanDillonMTB i actually didn’t do the trail climb, i’ve heard it’s much easier to go up the road.
Collie is the ultimate trail town in w.a, its been this way for 25 years but alot of ppl are only just realising this
I love that it's day tripable from Perth. Will definitely be back there soon
Where is this
Not far from Wellington Dam near Collie
@@RyanDillonMTBcan you get to this trail from the normal welli damn car park or is there a better spot to park?
@@thehighground4920park next to a bridge just past honeymoon pool on river rd
There's a bit of parking right at the bottom of the trails. You can get there from the usual Welli Dam car park but it's a long long way.
@@RyanDillonMTB oh okay so is it pretty much like a seperate trail network?
