100%, it makes riding a bit more fun and interactive. Zwift provides a huge amount of options for people from beginners to pro's. pre made workouts, routes etc all at varying levels of difficulty. Do as much or as little as you'd like, as hard or easy as you'd like.

Hey mate, great question.. and a tough one! Zwift definitely has a some big pluses, it is super convenient (assuming you can leave it set it up somewhere) and the workouts are absolutely fantastic, so great for improving your fitness and maybe training for an event. For someone who is new to riding then I feel like there are more advantages to getting started outdoors, such as exploring new places and making a bunch of new friends. But no reason you can't do both if you are super keen, and in which case, yes, I would definitely recommend!

@ Cheers mate, I totally get the sentiment of getting outdoors. Unfortunatly I live in a bit of a gully and my fitness levels aren't ready for them hills haha. Also I've often been a bit nervous riding on the roads, not sure if im over thinking it. appreciate the advice non the less.

Hey Jake. The overlays are created with Garmin VIRB (it's free software). You can load a GPX file into it (say from Strava) and choose from the different gauges and then it renders over the top of your video.

Do you ever get that feeling that you can absorb those movements just by watching them over and over? There's a video in that, slow motion jumping p**n, what do you think?! 😅

I'm not very good at jumps yet, because I dont go out much doing them, but with watching it helps maintain that mental picture. 😅 slow...motion?

Hey Raymond, thanks for commenting! Interested to know what bike you are riding? (I'm on a 26 inch wheel dirt jumper.) You're right about the speed, I even had to touch the brakes a couple of times as I haven't yet mastered getting height instead of distance!

@ also riding a 26inch DJ, Marin Alcatraz long frame. I’ve only been riding in Perth for about a year (from South Africa) and find the jumps here very niche. I generally prefer short and steep compared to long and steep. That said, I can’t complain at all, it’s so great to have councils making these facilities available. Back home it was all dirt and no build no ride. Keep it up - love the vids/content.

@@DavidBerry-b1k Yup, alot of Garmin devices have it, as well as other brands. Can set it up to auto message contacts your location etc if you don't turn it off.

Ha ha, that is a co-incidence! I started this loop just after 8am. The weathers much cooler today, the Gero breeze is super strong. I did the clockwise loop this morning but stuffed up the footage, so probs doing it again on the 26th 😅 Have fun, might see you out there!

Hey Matthew! Yeah it's a cracking loop hey! I love that it follows the river around, makes for some great scenery. Good idea using it as a warmup for the wage, not much else around. Oh I didn't know Josh came unstuck on that drop, that's a bit unlucky he's a very good rider.

Haha, no triggering. Just a good reminder to check your dropper cable. But yep, that is the spot where I managed to fracture my spine.
