I just purchased a 3800 that will need a complete rebuild and I was happy to find your videos on TH-cam. Very well done and I appreciate you mentioning the size of the sockets. Your finished bike looks amazing.

Brilliant video thanks. My 3800 is ok but I fell like looking for another, in poor condition so I can take it apart.

hiya ... thanks for the videos, great help. I have just 'tided up' my new 3800 to allow me to run it this summer. Over winter I am considering a full restoration... couple of questions if I can. Powder coat or Paint ? Does the cleaning process deal with minor rust pitting ? Finally how dis you (or didnt you !) deal with the bolts and nuts. Did you buy all new and paint them or clean up existing the paint (assuming you didnt get the bolts and nuts cleaned and powdercoated
Thanks in advance ... even simple yes and no answers will really help 🙂

Hi, i had mine sand blasted and then powder coat by a local company after it was taken a part and cleaned for dirt/oil.
For bolts and nuts i cleaned them and then used electrolyses to remove rust. When i replaced bolts i replaced with stainless steel when possible
