I agree with the Claas Arion being the best small tractor. The reason is that it is the only one with a realistic front loader connection with all hydraulic hoses. No other tractor has got this. The best medium tractor by far, at least for my needs, is the Valtra Q Series because of the reverse drive function. On smaller fields there is nothing better than this tractor combined with the Elho mower and the Reiter merger. Try it for yourself and thank me later 😉 The best large tractor is the Fendt 1000 Vario as it offers the most horsepower for your money and isn't such a pain in the a$$ to drive as articulated tractors.
I wish I would have known about the Fastrac 8330 when I started or I would have made that my very first purchase. It is such a timesaver when hauling bale/grain wagons and getting equipment to the job site at twice the speed of nearly all other tractors. Despite only having 348hp I have not seen it bog down at all while operating equipment, even the biggest cultivator in the game that says it requires 500hp, this can run it at the max posted speed of 9mph. Literally my only gripe about it is the rear tires jut out past the hitch pretty far compared to other tractors, making it difficult to make tight turns with certain equipment, but the sheer speed more than makes up for it.
Thank you for an informative vlog it has addressed many questions. So far, I haven't seen anyone address the issue of tyres. I'm sure each have a purpose and place depending on the type of farming you are doing, the crop your working with and the terrain of your fields. So how do you address the issue of needing narrow tyres and horse power to pull a potato harvester on a steep slope like field 20 at Elmcreek.
Thanks for watching glad it helped you out, in regards to the tyres from my experience the tractor power plays more of a role ii getting up steep slopes and pulling the heavier implements, the horse power guide on a tool or piece of equipment is the recommended minimum requirement however often for more demanding job the higher the horse power the better. Sometime a self propelled harvester may be the better option as they are more powerful.
Is it worth skipping medium tractors and getting a large tractor that can handle a back and front attachment at the same time, such as a seeder and roller. I figure I can skip a trip on the field with a smaller tractor by having 1 Large that can do two things at once
Yes large tractors off the best horse power in game for towing the implements with high horse power requirement, the only thing to consider is the price as they are more costly and of course larger which makes tight access areas more difficult, the Fendt Vario 1000 is a large tractor that is pretty versatile. But it all depends on what you want and need to do, best to experiment on a test map and try out the different combinations etc and see if it works.
@@affarmz I've been working with the Large John Deere 8R series, it seems to be able to handle anything I've attached to it so far and it's not too bulky. Also I have the Medium John Deer 630 with front loader attached, I find it serves all other purposes whilst the Large one uses the larger equipment. I found out the 6R with a weight on the back can also carry 4 big bags on its forklift attachment. Discovered this after spending a lot of time finicking around with the front loader controls and loading 2 bags at a time onto the flatbeds lol. Do you know of any other way of transporting bags and pallets or do they all have to be manually loaded as I've been doing so far?
Those are all good choices, you can look a the multi fruit buying station mod this will load things like feed into trailers etc, so that might be an option? Not sure if there is an auto load function for big bags
@@affarmz Thanks I'll look up the mod although tbh I don't mind the tedium of manual loading, it was a part of the game I never expected but enjoy it. I found another tip last night for fertilising contracts is that you can attach the sprayer and use it as a back weight whilst you carry fertiliser on the forks at the front. It lets you whiz around doing fertiliser contracts without running out!

Fendt Vario 1000 is very good, great value for money, I have started to use the Valtra also, I like it.
Neat clip, AF Farmz. Can't wait to see more videos from you. I pounded your thumbs up button on your content. Sustain the awesome work.
Much appreciated, thanks for watching !

Couldn't agree more, speed! Thanks for watching!

Thats the joy of this game, the mundane tasks can be quite satisfying for sure!, Good tip about the fertilizer, nice!
