Hi Sam! I am not very keen on robot mowers. I like mowing. It is relaxing, I love the smell of cut grass plus it is a chance to inspect the lawn for weeds etc. Actually, I just got a new Gardena mower (not a robot) It am very pleased with it. I think it is a Swedish brand? Most of my tools are by Gardena, very durable. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it anyway, like all your videos.
Hey Lucy, I understand, I love mowing myself too, but it´s great for those times when you are on vacation or just don´t have the energy to mow :) Gardena is German actually, but I love their stuff, often very good products although a bit expensive. Always appreciated when you drop by! 🙏🙏
Hello are you able to cut over edge in the zone where you have small pebbles (minute 10:40) ? I have all my grass surrounded by those pebbles and i am wandering if it can handles it! Thank you!!
Hey mate! It can, but be prepared to get pebbles thrown into the lawn. Those wheels will probably push some rocks onto the grass and if it´s not leveled then the blades might even touch the pebbles and throw even more onto the lawn. So even if it technically can do it, I would not recommend it.
The area I installed it in the video is pretty tight and I still to this day haven´t had any issues with it. But if you mean even tighter than that then I don´t know, haven´t tested any tighter than this.
I have this robomower. Overall i'm happy with it! They're working on an API so it can be integrated into home automation systems. Any idea when they would release that? My other wish is that it would mow a bit closer to the edge... It's quite conservative on keeping its distance. For the legs of the trampoline: my solution was to dig them slightly into the ground so that it can just drive over them.
Hey mate, not sure when they will release that actually, hopefully soon! The edge thing I think is very hard to solve with any mower to be honest. I tested the RoboUp mower too and that is as close that I have gotten. They have their blades far off to one side so it always mows as close to the edge as possible. But even then you still get some edge left. Good tip on the trampoline, need to tell my neighbour about it!
Thanks for the review, my local robot mower store recommended me to this one. I was just wondering if you've experienced how it handles small rocks and other hard debris?
Hey mate, so for one I agree with Wayne, I haven't heard of a robot mower store, that´s awesome! Now for the debris. The lawn i tested it own has a few small rocks here and there and some gravel that has gone into the lawn from the french drains, those it handled without any issues. But larger debris I cannot say since I haven´t really tested that. Good tip for next review!
Thanks @@SamsLawn, on speaking with the store, hey said it'll handle small debris like a rotary. Dog poo (if its small) and like small rocks will just get flung out. For bigger obstacle (bones for dogs, large branches etc.) the mower will just go around it treating it like any other obstacle as you've shown. I just want to get a second opinion on whether that's also what someone else has observed as our little dog likes to dig, and our little man likes to play with rocks 🤣
@@Inserico haha for sure mate, you always get debris on the lawn with pets and kids running around. But if we are talking about small rocks or dog poo, then it´s totally fine, the only mower I ever had that had issues with that are cylinder mowers, all others have managed it without issues :)
Hi! I am just thinking of buying my first robot mower. I have a lawn around 800m2, also pretty boring like yours (No slopes or challanges). I am thinking about i108E or Yuka. What would you recommend more? (I have seen both of your videos, but I am interested more in the direct comparison maybe). Thanks a lot!
Hey mate, well, I think both are really good, but I would say, if you would like to have more control of the mowing process, want more options to tweak different options then I would go for the Yuka. If you just want to get a mower and then just forget about it, I would go for the Navimow. Also the Yuka will need fewer passes than the Navimow since the cutting width of the Yuka is really wide. But cutting quality wise they are both great! I honestly don´t think you can really go wrong with either.
Hey Will, It did not miss any spots, not that I could see. Then again, this wasn´t my own lawn so I would not have noticed that as easily as in my own. I know my own grass so well I would spot anything out of the ordinary instantly (meganerd I know 😂)
@@SamsLawn thanks for responding. Noticing the small things in your own lawn is a good thing. I didn't think it would miss spots when you said it cuts again in a different location. Take care Brother.
Hmm, not sure to be honest, on the ones we get to Sweden it says 500 & 800 m2, not sure how they have calculated that to sq ft. Maybe drop them an email.
@@SamsLawn The dealer here in New Zealand says it can do 800m2 plus 20% which would be 960m2 which is even more confusing. Apparently in the app itself it says how many m2 is allowed. However you would be brave to buy a Navimow on that basis as the app could easily change this to 800m2 if Segway decided they wanted too.
@nickwilliams1953 yeah, like electric cars the range depends on a million things, temperature, how tall grass etc, so I would expect får less m2 than any manufacturer claims
Exactly, we usually cut at around 3-4 cm here in Sweden, I know in the US they tend to have higher cuts. No right or wrongs here, just personal preference :)
My fear is that cheap plastic crap will win over excellent solutions. Funny how all of these mowers think that not being able to mow edge to edge is acceptable. It's not. Also, the razor blades do not provide any lift. Lift is necessary to get the grass to stand up before cutting. Also problematic are the wheels packing down the lawn without any lift. The narrow cutting width means that the wheels will pack down way more grass than a nice 22" gas powered mower. Unlike most of these videos, my yard is perfection. There are only 3 multi-disc robotic mowers that marginally meet my criteria. Only one has my intense attention. No cheap plastic crap for me.
I agree! The lack of lift is an issue, I usually recommend power raking once in a while just to get everything up, if you only use a robomower. Very good point, need to remember to mention it in a future video. But other than that I haven´t really seen the plastic part as an issue, had a robot mower from Gardena for 6 years and the Luba for 2 years and now the Yuka and the Navimow, haven´t experienced any issues with the plastic at all... yet anyways.
I have had this model for 3 weeks. I think I like it.
I think it´s awesome, truly. Very set and forget kind of mower.
Great review thanks. I especially appreciated the normal use point of view.
Thanks mate, appreciate it, glad you liked the review. Not that used to doing reviews so I am learning as I go along.

How about snowblower reviews in the winter?
Would be a ton of fun but it´s also a matter of cost to buy in all the equipment to make the videos. Not sure the wife would be too happy with that 😅
How does it handle returning to base in tight areas?

var tog luban vägen som du hade?
Huba Luba åkte på soptippen.....skräp
Gav den till en granne, använder Yukan själv. Tycker båda fungerat klockrent!

Your community must be very advanced to have a robot lawn mower store!
Oh I didnt realise they were rare. We have one near my part of town, and then a few more on the opposite end of town 😂

Hmm no wiper for camera….😔
haha i know right! Sucks!!
Runs here for 6 month no problems at all, did not not clean the camera during the it' s running this season
The i series does not have a rain sensor.
You are correct, it "predicts" when it rains and goes back to the charging station, it is surprisingly accurate somehow.
@@SamsLawn my I 108 stopped today at 14.55 pm. At 15.00 pm it started raining here in Holland
10890 sq ft would be just over 1000m2 not 800m2, which is it please? Segway seem to confuse people with the i108,

Why such a low cutting height on a non soccer lawn?
35-45mm is what's recommended for a normal lawn in Sweden.
