    All 3 painted in under an hour, how awesome is that 🙂

    I painted a whole Death Guard Plague Marine box as a brand new painter with slapchop in about 3 hours. Slapchop really is the truth.

    Absolutely stunning. They look like you spent 30hours plus on each one. Making me wonder why I spend so much time on mine 😥

    I've never heard of this method before, but GOOD LORD this is wild! Wifey is an awesome painter (won competitions at our FLGS) but I'm mediocre. This'll help me keep up to her so my models aren't so bad by comparison haha

    What's the paint that you used for the armor?

  • @valorath6797

    Just wondering when you paint armour/weapons do you use contrast paint aswell or just use something like leadbelcher and add a wash afterwards? I’m so keen to give this a go

    Guys, I have a question. I tried painting some minis using this technique but areas covered in contrasts ended up glossy. I suspect that I’ve put too much paint on my brush but I’m not entirely sure. If anyone knows what to do, I’d be thankful

      I would cover it with a Matte varnish or appropriate diluted wash. That should take care of it, but in my experience speed/contrast paints will have that effect, especially if heavier coats are used.

  • @victormai5182

    I notice your white drybrush is pretty heavy. Do you do that on purpose? Because i think my slapchops often turn out a bit too dark for my taste, i was thinking about doing just a dark grey prime and white drybrush.

    • @WafflesHouse8993
      @WafflesHouse8993 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since the last step on this method is applying your contrast paints, you are painting over your brightest white.
      I also like bright models, so i do black grey white drybrushing, then contrast. Then, I lift up any colors I want to brighten with a bright drybrush of the underlying color. And finally an extremely light white drybrush just on the edges.
      Give it a shot! It takes longer than base slapchop, but it's way faster than the standard GW style

    • @victormai5182
      @victormai5182 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WafflesHouse8993 i have done a similar method, basically slapchop with a drybrush of brighter colors after, and it looks good. However with more complex models i dont see how that could work. The highlights would have to be painted on and at that point you might as well have painted the whole thing normally because of the time that will take lol

    I will never understand why people are against slapchop, like, if you don't like it, don't paint ur minis that way. Slapchop help people who don't like painting/ don't eat to spend 1hr per model.
    I for one, would prefer to spend my time playing rather than painting.

    What is that little handle thing you have it on? A 3d print?

    • @Brickerbrack
      @Brickerbrack 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      We don't see enough here that I can tell, but it could be a 3D print, or it could just be a small bottle or jar with the mini tacked to the top. Find anything you can hold comfortably, and you can stick your mini to it to use as a handle.
