    Your video is very detailed and clear. Your descriptions on how to install an Aquia IV helped me learn how to repair mine! Many models of Toto toilets sold in the US are prone to developing problems with the inlet valve. A classic problem is they develop a slow leak that softly hisses. Women (with better hearing in the higher frequencies) hear it well before men, leading to many "Yes it DOES hiss!!! Can't you hear it??? FIX IT NOW" conversations . Several youtube videos show how to clean the inlet valve, which often solves the problem, but some need the valve replaced. The skirt on the base of some Aquia models make that difficult, and no videos show how to replace the valve it. The inlet valve in a 2 piece Aquia you showed not too bad to replace (although you do have to take the tank off, which varies by model). The one piece Aquia models are a bigger problem...you have to take off the entire base-and-tank unit to get to the inlet valve. Glad I have a 2 piece one...and you showed us one as well. Thanks

    Glad I found your site/instructions, the Toto Aquia IV I installed didn't have a very detailed instruction so I had a bunch of leftover parts, like the two while blocks!! Dduh....gotta redo it today I guess...thanks for your instructions!!

    Your bowl does not seem to be filling with water.Looks like the fill hose is on the outside of overflow tube. .I think it should be in the middle the tube to allow bowl to fill.

    Thanks for posting. I’m installing 2 of them in my house next week. I was thinking of putting Teflon tape on all the connections because I’m paranoid.

    Every time your drill bit slips I cringe. You are using the wrong size bit for the screw. You could strip the heads. Also you should have an extension bit to clear the brackets.

    I have the same bowl with a Toto Washlet and I can't get the line from the toilet seat to the supply line connected because it is too far under the tank. I guess I will have to extend it coming down from the toilet somehow

    • @kc5cbt
      @kc5cbt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They sell a little extension line just for it. You can probably find it where ever you can order the seat. You have to install the extension line before mounting the seat if I remember right. By that I mean you hook up the extension line to the seat, then drop install the seat. That way you can reach the connection with the supply line.

      I found it yesterday and went to the plumbing supply and they don't stock that piece. I ordered it through Amazon and I should have it tomorrow. Thanks

    You have bowl filler tube filling tank… supposed to be going down overflow tube…

    • @kc5cbt
      @kc5cbt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I thought so too, but the Toto toilet doesn't use that water to fill the bowl. So, Toto just dumps it in the tank.

    Thank you for the informative video. The waste pipe is a very tight 90 degree-do you think there will be issues with that? Thank you again

      The toilet works absolutely great so no problems with the waste pipe

    what was your rough-in? 14?

    • @mrcotter2531
      @mrcotter2531 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This Toto Aquia IV has either a 12” RI or a 10” RI depending on the RoughIn adapter included with your Toto. The Toto Nexus has either a 12” RI or 14” depending on the RoughIn adapter included with your Toto.

    • @ddog1218
      @ddog1218 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mrcotter2531 was yours 12 in. I am worried my waterline comes up through floor and is pretty close to the base. I am hoping it the back of the toilet clears my water line. If yours is 12 in I should have room to set mine.
      thanks

    What is the size of the biggest drill bit.

    • @kc5cbt
      @kc5cbt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sorry, I don't recall. I just looked in my drill bit kit and found a drill bit that was approximately the same or ever so slightly larger than the anchors that came with the toilet. I suppose if you look in the directions that came with the toilet it will probably state what drill bit size.

      Thanks for the video. Question- my toilet came with 12” rough-in which is correct… However, the Toto Aquia IV has a wider skirt and it does not have clearance with my shutoff. #1 Would a 10” Unifit rough in (gray part) be compatible with my toilet? #2 Would that mean my toilet has to move 2” farther away from the wall? Because that would SOLVE my issue.

    • @kc5cbt
      @kc5cbt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darryleckt8692 I really can't offer much help on the subject. I think I saw the offer other rough in attachments (the gray part) for different walls. Maybe that would help.

    I won’t even install this. The hole for the drain is 1 1/2”. You will never be able to use this without clogging it.

    That sucks! You have to drill through your tile? Now you have a chance to leak water through the holes. What a bad design

    How about cleaning that bathroom first before filming?
