Income, and keeping the scandal hushed to continue the flow of money sounds like a valid motivation. To acknowledge that they knew (not that the BBC ever would), would make them complicit in the "activities" of Saville and Harris and ultimately lead to some VERY expensive class actions.

That’s how pedos pick victims; they go after the parents. They usually target single moms like myself; and I NEVER allowed ANY men around my kids.
I had to chase off many WOLVES (mostly from AA for the few months I did go) from the door.
My stepdad never touched us; he was just there to steal our home; and he did. $225K each from my sister and I in 2002; when I was a single mom of three.
I love men; but the decent ones are getting harder to find.

Strangely enough, I was told about Harris in 1973. I was working on a farm north of Inverness, and one night a bunch of us ended up at a party in Inverness. Rolf Harris, was appearing at the theatre up there and I got talking to a guy who actually worked in the theatre itself. Id asked what it was like having Harris there, and I never forgot what he told me. He said he wasnt a very nice guy, in fact he was a pig, and they made sure none of the kids on the show were ever left alone with him. Then surprise surprise 30 years later the truth came out, and I wasnt surprised at all after what Id been told 30 years earlier.

Harris did this charity for them and he did some paintings and the club proudly put them on the wall and it was in the local newspaper. The place was broken into soon after and the painting we're stolen. Years later, i didn't work there anymore, but a friend of mine still did and she told me. When haris got arrested, the people that had stolen the paintings years before had brought them back and left them outside the front door of the club. The BBC is littered with pedo’s. There was and is still a huge cover up going on there. As far as I’m concerned, if you cover up, you’re just as guilty. Plus you have high ranking pedo’s in the police, government, and other influential places in society protecting this scum. So as for them getting away with this for so long, it’s hardly surprising. But as with saVILE, the truth WILL OUT! even after his death. It all comes to fruition in the end 👍 Personally, I’d also be questioning to why many of these pedo’s are still walking the streets after relatively short sentences? Example is Harris here. Someone obviously thought r@ping children and destroying countless lives in the process means you get to live out your golden years in peace as free people! Where was, and where is the deterrent????

It was for moving forward where the parent and child who had been sexually abused would be worked with in two separate groups following the same agenda where they could discuss it together afterwards to promote healing. At the end of each session, the children would be invited to watch a video where Rolf Harris would sing about your body and nobody should be allowed to touch it. When the allegations came out i was absolutely crucified. I hope those children can forgive us. As a child i loved watching him and was jealous of his artistic talent. Years later i attended a level three child protection training course where they stated that research suggested that an abuser was either born that way or had experienced abuse as a child. Where do we go from here when heroes from our childhood become the monsters we need to protect our children from.............

Nope, when he was on animal hospital, I was unnerved by the show, I thought it was because of the injured animals but it was him. He unnerved me.
I watched him when I was a little girl in the 80s and being young I had no idea but Savile was too close to so vile and he always creeped me out. I thought I was just being cruel to a weird old man so I tolerated him on top of the pops but even as a child you noticed he was a dirty old man. Too close to young girls. It was in ur face so you thought he was just that, a dirty old man. No one thought about things like necrophilia and things we could never have imagined.

Him singing that song, reminded me of him being an entertainer when i was really young, not much on the telly to choose from back then, but it was all an act. I mean I know actors act, but his sunny disposition wasn't real and its disgusting on his part, insulting and deceitful. Silly old fools. No one would fall for that shit now. No real decent man wants to hang around young girls (& boys) out of goodness. My athletics coach tuned out to be the same, not with me though, my old man would of shot him. They pick their targets.
