  • Day 388, met a couple on my hike an they told me about a bothy along my route so thought I might as well change it up and have a bothy night.
    Day 389 went to Talla Reservoir to get back my usual hammock life, it's a beautiful place.

    If you’re ever out east anglia way and want some company I’d love to come camping with you I’ve always been nervous about going on my own

      I'll be down nearish to there from May to early October for my summer job teaching kids bushcraft.
      I'd happily come have a camp with you around then an show you there's no need to be nervous about it.

    How much does it cost to stay there, I know in some places you can stay for nothing, here in N.Devon there’s a bothy right near a place I camp and it cost a lot to stay there

      What!? It's free, I thought all bothies were supposed to be free that's the whole point of them at least everyone outside Devon then.

      @@HappyHippy WTF! There’s one half a mile from where I camp and it costs over £100 for 2 nights!, and is not as good as the spot I camp at, there was a phone number on it so I rang and found out you had to pay, didn’t stay there, not paying to camp

    • @HappyHippy
      @HappyHippy  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Don't think it's a proper bothy if you've got to pay for it then, maybe someone just built it like one.
      Yeah camping is a free thing, can't understand people going campsites either.
      Right on the beach front tonight, got a beach with trees so in my hammock

      @@HappyHippy nice, I love camping at the beach, the sound of the sea is calming and helps me sleep, when the tides high it’s louder then gradually gets quieter as the tide falls, have a good night mate
