I decided to move out of my house on 24/10/22 and live wild camping in my hammock

Went to see my first original spot where it all began an then took a trip to the beautiful peak district
Day 473 - Scotland, land of the beauty

Leaving Scotland early as a friend could really do with some company at the minute so I'd rather go help her out right now than stay here. Somethings are more important than others. I've had the best time and will be back in August for a Scottish summer. See you soon for some adventures in England. Peace and Love.
Day 471 - Glen duror Bothy Scotland

Had a great night in this bothy from my last experience. On my hike down from it in the morning I spoke with a woman who was walking her dog she said did I stay in the bothy I said yes, had a lovely night and she said oh did you know it was haunted. Guessing the ghosts were on a mooch this time.

Id argue gardening is the best job 😁
Don't think you get as many laughs an heart warming moments with gardening though, but I did actually want to do gardening in my younger years so it's definitely up there though.
There is nothing more reward than being a positive influence on a young person. I'm in my 60s, and still have the fondest of memories of adults who took time and energy to bring out the best in me.
Aw that's great, I try my best to leave a positive impact on them. It is the most rewarding thing I've done, will always come back to it every year.
👌
living the high life still i see ! and teaching the youngsters to appreciate the great outdoors what a great life
Yeah course, some are like wow I'd love to live outside and I tell them they can when they're old enough if they want to an teach them all I have to offer. Couldn't ask for a better life than this
Yay! Got internet for a bit. I’ve missed the vids!
Aw glad you enjoy them, can't keep them up as much when in my summer job this just takes over an I love it
Ooft, there might be some rational explanation for these noises but im willing to bet this place is definitely haunted
I'm sure that was quite an experience. Thank you for sharing this episode !
Thats fkd up 😟😟
Wow that looked bloody good mate👍
When I was young in the 1970's there was a hippy adult comic called The Freak Brothers. They got blasted built an awesome camp sobered up it was shitty lol Was Epic. Yours turned out much better.
Nothing better than a shelter in the woodland. Enjoy, fellow psychonaut!
Thanks, Yeah it's rewarding work, hopefully on my next one I'll fit my hammock in it.
Smashing it mate, looks sick! Also appreciate the South Park reference 😂
Thanks dude, ha had too, it will always be the best program for me.
I will give you your dues, that was a pretty good shelter.
Thanks, hopefully my next one will be even better.
I saw Aurora Borealis dancing in the sky above Scania 17 years ago. Blue and Red. One of the rarest things that can be witnessed at least so far south. And also one of the most beautiful things that I've ever seen.
Wow sounds incredible, it wasn't as visible through the eyes here as it was through the pictures I took but still a lovely night with my mates looking up at the sky
Beautiful, Thank-you for this , you take care!!
I missed your channel, the vibes are exquisite 👌
Aw thank you, I'm on my way back to my hut today, hoping to be able to finish it an get my video of out later of me doing it all.
Wow I love it mate
Cheers, it's been fun doing it, not much more to go now
Have to build one on Loch Ness to get 350
Nice mate ❤shame you can’t hotbox it😂
Post code: ST0 N3R 😁
Haha that's great
Hello bro where do you stash your gear when you are walking light like this. Thanks for the vids.
I have a car, so that's my storage place.
Did you really say Rolls Royce...hippy values?
Yeah & now I'm up 250% on it, I seen an opportunity and it worked out. It hasn't effected the world in anyway only helped me out, so don't see a problem. Also invested in some psychedelic mushroom companies as I know they can help so many people. Not the first I've heard someone say Hippie values to me but one of mine is I don't judge others.
The return of the Happy Hippy , nice to see you back, looking really healthy
Thanks man, it's gonna be a fun summer with my job an making bushcraft shelters, loving how it's coming along so far.
Hi there, how much does it cost you to camp there?
It's free, we get to live on the staff camp for the season, it's one of the perks of the job. So I get 6months traveling on my own wild camping then come back here for 6 months with some amazing people.
@@HappyHippy Nice, all the best from the far north of New Zealand!
@@secondchance6603 ah sweet, my friends came back from NZ recently, the place looks absolutely beautiful, would love to do this over there.
Guaranteed you be livin on your phone my guy! Let's gooooo!! Get back to society or dem skeeters gonna give you something to come back for. ✌️
Haha no thanks, lived in towns an cities for too long. I'm staying in the woods where it's sane. Best of luck to you an society
Good to see you again 🙌
It's good to be back, started on my new shelter today, it's coming along nicely
Fantastic, that you are getting young people interested in outdoors. Keep up the good work 👏 👏👏🖖
Yeah it's such a rewarding job, especially when some kids arrive an say "I want to go home, i don't like it here" an by the end of it they wish could stay longer
Nice to see you again! Looks like you're doing well.
Thanks, Yeah been looking forward to coming back here since it finished in October
Looks awesome, nothing better than sleeping under the stars surrounded by nature, stress free.
Definitely, I've forgotten what stress feels like
Brilliant made did u get to Cumbria then pal
I didn't stop off there after leaving Scotland as it was a bit of an unexpected leave. I'm going back up to Scotland for a gig on Aug 29th an staying for a week or two so we could get that camp in on my way down
Good to see you back mate
Thanks dude, think I needed a nice little break from it.
This should have at least 10k views!
Aw wow thank you
I don’t think your experience was a one off. There is a video from Ruth Aisling who had a similar experience. And if you read through the comments for her remote bothy video you will see some folk’s experienced the same as you.
I meant just for me, at least I hope so. yeah had a few people telling me they had similar things happen as well.
I saw hers, she felt uneasy the entire time she was there
Good luck, look forward to your progress
Thanks, this is the year I plan to build a few shelters around the UK
You must have titanium testicles. If I heard a knock staying somewhere isolated like that, I would be off like a shot.
I didn't see any wikd camping?
At the end at 14:15 you see my tent but that's about it. I remembered it just pissed it down after setting up so didnt do any recording after.
Great video and brilliant little bothy. I'd say the family were having a bit of fun with you, nothing else could explain those knocks. Well done for sticking it out, I'd have needed a Guinness or three to calm my nerves!
Wow. It’s beautiful
glad to see you are keeping well!
Yeah still doing well thanks, just been having it pretty chilled recently so this was great getting a good hike in around the peak district
Hope ye buddy is ok fela and just want to say thanks for sharing your story with us guys love to bump into ye on a little walk and doobs one day
She's doing better now thanks, that'll be great I get around so could happen. I'll try keep a doob on me at all times just incase.
👍❤🙏
OK I'm on board
👌👌
What's the bivvy at 1:14?
It's my hammock, it's a night cat so can go into tent mode, it was a clear night so didn't bother with the cover.
Travel safe x
Well done mate, that was an EPIC mission. Your channel should be blowing up. I'm sure you will still find time to get out and chill 🥰
Thanks, Yeah for sure, got plenty of places to camp in England, the views won't be as epic but got some nice places around
There's always North Wales and Angelsey, warmer and dryer, epic landscapes.
Goodbye Swampland, back yo dry land :D
Who’s the one that’s sinking 😂 goodbye to your swampland 😂
My fondest memory of Swampland was being up to my knees is stinkey goop and upwards rain on the mountains, best days of my life 👌🥰
@@mtbalot that sounds great 👍🏼
Nothing a Pot-Noodle can't fix 🍜
@@mtbalot or a cup of warm mud with rock biscuits 😂
🙌
Nice videos and true warrior for staying out in the Scottish winter that’s no small task. Do a fingers and toes check on your way out . Safe travels home
Haha thanks, it was incredible up there, still all in check, the only thing Scotland took from me is my heart, Fell in love with it soon as I got up there.
Thanks for sharing your journey, I've really enjoyed being a small part of your Scottish adventure. Safe journey back south.
Thank you
Legend! Hope all works out for your friend 🙏
Thanks
