That water is starting to look a bit scary . Your friend made a very nice raised shelter, I got to give it a try one of these days. Very cool video. -Jacko
Thanks Damien another dose of wild camping from you is always a highlight. Getting stir crazy here but family problems are stopping me from venturing out. Got a fortnight touring wild camping coming up in a couple of months straining at the leash I am. ATB take care.
Excellent video there Fell, really enjoyed that, have a camp of my own I stayed in for 8 months, also in a spruce forest on Forestry Commision land, been there since 2012 and still visit it regularly, it's well out the way and no-one seems to have ever come across it so I keep my fingers and toes crossed that that continues to remain the case. Loved the saw you made btw and yer mates sleeping bunk that he knocked up, very good indeed. Just a word on the water, it'll be pretty acidic, as it's running thru the conifer forest, will contain a lot of heavy metals so only drink the stuff when you have to mate, that aftertaste you had was probably due to that and not the pot you were boiling it up in. Subscribed to yer channel and looking forward to more of your wee adventures, atb
Great vidio Damien, thanks for the tips on charcloth i'm going to make some on Saturday night when I take my Grandson Joe out for his first proper wild camp.

blamhof Haven't seen the square sausages which were in those white square trays amonst other offerings in a long time, they were pinkish in colour but tasted nice once cooked, looking back it was the flavour enhancents, preservatives and E numbers which made them seem ok but they were still made from all the lips and arseholes but tasted nice in the morning after a night on the drink

chuffing hell Damien you put some grub away lol Im toying with the idea of using a stretchy cargo net to make a bed similar to what your mate did with the dpm. Anyway great video and plenty of grub.
The green shelter is nice a big. Give you lots of room on the ground. Good thing it did not rain. The green tarp is sloping to the uphill side of the camp. Any rain water would be collected and dropped above the camp which means it would then run through your bed and everything else on the ground under the trap....
