  • Heavy snowstorm in the cold mountains . Imagine you lying in bed under a thick warm blanket listening to the icy howling wind and falling snow on the roof. No noises from people talking and heavy traffic keeping you awake. These howling wind sounds are the best background sounds for sleeping, relaxing and studying. We hope you enjoy this calming winter ambience! Good sleep!!
◼ All my soundscape videos are made in high quality with editing programs such as Vegas Pro, Photoshop and Audacity, and take many hours / days of editing and mixing to create. The equipment I use to record the audio are the Zoom H5 or H6 recorder + Audio-Technica BP4025 microphone, and for the videos I use the GoPro Hero6. Some video and audio files are made in collaboration with other video / audio creators with all the licenses & commercial use rights that are necessary. I mixed these video or audio files with the creation of myself. Sometimes I use a photo and make a moving video of it.

If you are reading this at night, you should get some sleep, and don't stress about everything going on in the world, or what you are going through. Don't dwell on things from the past, don't stress on your future. Just live your life, because you only get one. Do whatever makes you happy, not what other people want from you. For me, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, hit the gym, and cherish life for the amazing blessing that it is. I hope you do the same and have an amazing day as well ❤

I grew up in New England in a home surrounded by the woods. I wasn’t the most social kid and I was happy with my own company. I would spend hours playing outside in the snow, making forts and climbing trees. And every now and then I would just stop and look up. Sometimes I’d just fall back, into the soft snow. And I’d listen. This is the sound I would hear. Ahh, so relaxing. Near silence. It was a simple time of my life, one I miss dearly. Sometimes I wish I could return to it, even just for a moment.

Just imagining myself laying in bed in one of those houses, sleeping under the warm blanket while the cold gust of wind passes through the outside, waking up in the morning, looking out the window seeing this scenery, drinking a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Grew up in Georgia and until I was 20 years old never experienced nothing like the Colorado winter weather. Just finished my first 8 month long Colorado winter and my first 30 inches of snow in the Rocky Mountains. It was terrifying and beautiful. Draws me in like nothing I’ve ever felt before, almost like I wanna experience that cold, it’s something I never felt before. And now I’m quite literally torn between two worlds. I miss the ocean more than ever before but I’m grateful that I had the chance to experience the harsh duality of nature that is some people’s life every day. Anyways, all of that being said, the sounds of the ice cold wind definitely put me to sleep every time. 👍🏻 I’m a cold preference sleeper and let me tell you, there’s just something that 80mph blast of ice cold wind coming thru my window at 3 am does for me that replicates the feeling of that old nostalgic air conditioning unit I used to have and makes me feel like a kid again comforted by the sound and feeling of my body warmth.

I forget exactly but the fireplace walls we're every bit 2 feet wide or thick. Logs were used to give it structure and then clay mixed with straw was packed in for stability. Ofcourse it narrowed some going up to the chimney but it had to be stout. So I believe they would pack on massive layers and keep that fire raging . Still I'm sure it would get very cold.

We have frozen and dried meats, preserved fruits, nuts and seeds. Right now I'm resting in my coziest chair, beneath a pair of quilts, beside the fireplace. I have a shelf full of books but I'm a bit too tired to read. Perhaps I'll just close my eyes and listen to the wind whip against the window panes. The world is scary sometimes, but I am at peace now in my simple cabin, in the remotest of places, beneath the blanket of snow.

I live in a converted Mercedes Sprinter van. It's like a tiny house on wheels. Often I park near a favorite nature reserve , turn the small sirocco fan on beside my head and play this video while I read or write . The power of this sound to sooth the soul is like a secret among us here who bother to grasp its essence. It's healthy qualities are profound. Endebted to the producer . Thank you 😇😊😊💯🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I own a landscaping company and we do snow plowing ice mitigation. It is a greatly stressful, dangerous, and ridiculed job. I absolutely love it, something magical about the winter storms that run through you. the blistering cold, icy wind, cold starts of trucks and other equipment. I say that "we own the night". Everyone is asleep and warm in their beds while we are out working long hours plowing and de-icing lots and roads so everyone is safe when they wake up in the morning to go to work or to shop. I typically don't sleep for 24 hours at least, once a snow storm has started. I ensure everything on all roads, property lots and walkways are cared for and clear, well after the storm has subsided until I'm able to get rest. I had back-to-back storms one year to where I couldn't sleep until working at hour 87. I was starting to hallucinate and was sick as a dog. It took me almost a week to feel normal after being awake for over 3 -1/2 days during that horrible blizzard. Please be patient and understand with snow and ice control services. It it more difficult and stressful than most can imagine, until doing it commercially themselves. Pray for the safety of those that have to go out while you stay in, thank you!

I am in the first year in my 5th floor apartment (we have 11 stories here in our tower, one of the two tallest buildings in Fremont, Nebraska population 27,000) and am looking forward to a few of these. We get some mighty winds blowing across the Great Plains. Settlers used to get lost and go mad back in the days. But I won't mind, as long as the heat doesn't go out. We never get snow anymore here in the UK 😔 & it's by far my favourite weather.
We used to regularly get about a ft of snow when I was little ( a foot of snow is quite something when you're only 5 or 6 years old & only 3 foot tall yourself 😀😃😄. We used to go sledging in the field behind our house, my feet would get so cold in my little uninsulated wellies as I waited for my Sister to drag the sledge back up the hill. I never wore a hat or scarf as they were always on the Snowman 😃😃 but I just loved it😀. Very very happy memories. This sound always reminds me of those days, I find it so soothing & this video & audio always relaxes me & makes me feel happy because of the memories it triggers.
Thank you so so much for creating this, it's taken me back to happy times & happy places many times & is therefore very precious to me 💙👍❄❄❄🌬❄❄💙

Omg. I’ve been living in Alabama for a month. Originally I’m from South Carolina. But I can’t help but love the cold. That one snow a year would always be the highlight. Also hate these dang bugs. When I move out I’m totally going somewhere chilly❄️🥰

"" SEEMS LIKE NOT TO MANY PEOPLE UP HERE REMEMBER THOSE GOOD OLD DAYS..... I KNOW I DO, I CAN STILL REMEMBER WHEN WE MOVED OVER HERE FROM P.R BACK IN 82, THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE THAT I SAW SNOW....AND LET ME TELL YOU IT SNOW POUND FOR POUNDS! IT SNOWED SO MUCH THAT YOU WAS ABLE TO DIVE IN IT LIKE DIVING IN WATER....... COULDN'T EVEN MAKE SNOW ANGELS THAT'S HOW DEEP IT WAS! TELL YOU ONE THING HAD A GREAT TIME THOUGH, AND ENJOYED EVERY BIT IT. NOT BECAUSE IT WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I WITNESSED SNOW TOO, BUT BECAUSE IN THOSE DAYS IT TRULY SNOW A LOT, EVEN IN THE COMING YEARS TO COME......THE 80's WERE WHITE WINTERS, THE SNOW DEFINITELY CAME DOWN HEAVY AND NON-STOP!!!!!!! YOU HAD TO LIVE IT TO BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT...... HOWEVER, IT CERTAINLY LOOKS LIKE THIS YEAR IS THE YEAR THAT'S GOING TO TO BRING BACK MEMORIES OF THOSE DAYS! NOW WITH THAT BEING SAID HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! ""

Sweden in the years 1962 and 1963 it was cold and very snowy where I lived. This winter there has been nothing. It has been boring, gray and sad when you only have daylight 6 hours in the winter. I feel good about snow on the ground which makes the days a little brighter.

How about the 70s. Got some real doozies then. Snow piled up to the second story. We had 3 or 4 storms that decade, we had to get out from the bedroom windows on the second floor. Open the front door and a wall of snow. That one was the worst. 3 day blizzard.
