Thanks for your video, it was very helpful! I just pulled the center little seat, the left passenger 2nd row seat, and the center drink console out of my 2020 Sienna XLE 8-passenger van. The drink console started to lift out at the same time as the left passenger seat - they're one unit, attached to a very long bar on the floor. Took me totally by surprise. It was awkward to maneuver the whole thing up and out, but even as a wimpy 66-year-old woman, I did it solo. One word of caution for you strong guys out there -- be gentle lifting the seat/console out not to rush and subsequently bend/deform the plastic moldings around the lower tracks.
The removal of the center row seats in this video only applies to pre-2021 Non-Hybrid Siennas. 2021-2025 Hybrid Siennas require unbolting the seats from the slider rails (four bolts), and disconnecting the air bag wiring. There are videos on how to do it on these later models here on TH-cam.
Thanks for the very detailed description. Would you know if the seats in a 2015 XLE Premium work the same way.....3rd row collapses into the floor well and the center seats release by pulling on the lever beneath the forward section of the seat then lifting the seat out of the vehicle. BTW Thanks.
Could the track close to the side door be removed, as I'm considering this vehicle as a dog vehicle. Need a flat surface for a large dog entrance into the vehicle?
What a great video I came to this video because I wanted to see the process of putting in and taking out the middle row seat every time this stevewelchtoyota puts the seat in or takes it out He puts the camera black and doesn’t show you how it’s done great job. Thank you for the visual.
Thanks, also I saw your response for removing trolley track for center seats......you can't. Kinda makes it tough but not impossible to sleep in. Again thank you.
I was looking at the 2023 sennia van but was stated that the center row of seats are not removable or involves disconnecting the airbags which i dont want to get involved in. I need to know which models have all passengers seats removable except the one in the front. I seen so many camper van conversions without the seats. I had a 2004 model and the centet two seats came out fairly easy. I know the rear seat suppose to fold down but can be removed with tools. 73
@ronb6182 I believe Sienna models from 2020 and earlier have removable middle seats. There is a TH-cam channel where an engineer has a way to remove second row seats and sells a small module to plug into the seat wiring harness to fake the removed seats airbag alarm. It's certainly not my first choice. This leaves me to look at older awd Sienna and at awd Pacifica's.
@gregkocher5352 I had it with new designs with all the tracking and other nonsense it just adds cost to the already too high cost .I bought a 2009 Kia Sedona with no blue tooth and no wifi. Just a regular radio and CD player. Seats are removed and the rear go into the floor. I could take them out if I want rear wells for extra storage. 73
Thanks I apparently did not line up the back and seat correctly. I did move the seat to line up with that small mark on the base of the seat But did not line up the back part of the assembly correctly. Has some one else help me and the seat unlached..
Any advice for a captain chair that will not release? We have a 17 XLE and only one side of the tracks seems to be releasing on a chair. We have removed the seats many times before with no problems.
Until the genius at Toyota let me remove the middle row seats as easily as the Odyssey, I will stick with the Odyssey. Some of us would like extra cargo space too
That’s why I had to go w/a Dodge Grand Caravan because I needed to turn it into a camper. Wasn’t able to put my bed frame into a Sienna w/that track down there..
Do you have a 2006 sienna to measure? If so, what is the depth, width and length of the hole/indented area that the back seats fold down into. I am looking to take ALL seats out and put my equipment in that hole area and then a bed w/a bed lift over the top. I need to know if this hole area is big enough to do what I'm wanting to do.
Thank you, I will try this tomorrow. My 3rd row seat has been down for 2 years, lol! Its a 2008 LE with 2 cloth pulls on back of each seat, fingers crossed. I'm also looking forward to taking out second row per your instructions.

Exactly. I know Toyota is better than Chrysler/Dodge. But in the end, I'm still driving my Chrysler because of what you stated. All seats fold right into the floor without me having to remove any of the seats.
@@aznprincess1962 I believe that is a Chrysler patent I would bet they are the only ones who can do it. That being said the seats on the Toyota are much more comfortable in my opinion and only weigh about 30 pounds

@@stevenwelchtoyota I won't be buying one. cant remove the seats in a 2021. I also don't like the hybrid only option. Seems like a ticking time bomb for a $10,000 bill. I'm gonna have to go with 2020.
@Eli Behlok they did it for safety to add the airbag and also for added comfort which made the seat heavier. The seats on the old ones are about 35 pounds or so.
Need HELP!!!! the second row seat behind the driver side is not moving.or unlatching. The second row seat on the passanger side was very easy to remove. Need move video or more instructions for the driver side please!
I had a 2004 Toyota sienna and I had over 240,000 miles on it I neglected to change the transmission fluid. I had the timing belt.changed but wasn't needed I never changed the second one. I don't need new just one that was taken care of. 73
Piece of sh!? seats don't lock in the stow away position. Unless you put something on top of it, it can potentially jump back up if you hit a bump or something. In my opinion, it's potentially dangerous to rear passengers!
