AWESOME! Just bought a new 2020 Sienna, want to remove those seats for more cargo room. Thought I'd check for a TH-cam video instead of reading the owner's manual. Thanks for this!
They are held in with bolts.... definitely removable sir. I literally just got done pulling mine out to install floor mats from ebay that apparently dont line up. Im going to have to pull out the dremel to notch out a small portion of the middle@stevenwelchtoyota
Or you can remove the whole track assembly turn it around and you can have second row facing the third row. Good for conversation or you can post a removable table in between rows and you can play cards....
You would think Japanese would have given us that option, it would have been a winning design if you could reverse the middle seat and turn the third row seat flat like a bed..
Hi, I have a 2016 Sienna XLE and am having a lot of trouble removing the center middle seat located behind the driver's seat. It is the one the jumpseat attaches to. I have taken out the jumpseat, no problem. I have removed the single seat behind the front passenger seat, no problem. But the center seat behind the driver's seat is a beast.... I cannot get it to lift out or budge! I'd appreciate a video on this or any help you can give me. Maybe reasons why it won't come out and troubleshooting how to get it out?We are moving daughter home from college tomorrow and it would be really nice to get that seat out. Thank you!
@@stevenwelchtoyota will do. I actually took it to the dealer who told me it was stuck but wanted to charge a $200 diagnostic fee to confirm it was stuck 🤣 Next time I get an oil change at my local mechanic I'll have him take a look, and meanwhile will have someone else help me do what you suggest. Thanks!
Yeah they are easy to remove getting them back in are harder but once you line up the hooks they go back easy the tracks are in the seats not in the floor. I sure miss my 2004 sienna. I would buy another if I found one with low mileage. If I remember right you fold them forward to the up position then the lever on the bottom will allow you to remove the seat. Mine only had two center seats and the large one in the back I slept in my sienna while my wife was in class. Then we went on our trip. The front seats reclined and you could get a good sleep at a rest area. My two cats slept on the console. 73
There is still some track in front after the seat has been removed. Is is possible to slide the seat holder up close to the front top of the track, towards the front of the van to get it out of the way? It appears so.
You're leaving the "trolley" in the tracks behind so you're not fully removing the seat. This design sucks. In my 2005 Sienna you could remove the entire seat and not have anything sticking up. You and Toyota need to quit saying these seats are fully removable when you're leaving the bottom installed. False advertising!
Ditto. My 2008 is the Dog Bus. With one 2nd row seat removed, the dogs easily jump in at floor level and choose the remaining 2nd row seat or the back seat or the exposed floor. Floor is flat, has a few holes but nothing protruding upwards; a few mats cover the holes for dog feet. Pacifica is WAY better, but their transmissions are not.
Dino Cox Fully removable means there will not be anything sticking up. The floor should be flat. Those trolleys will be inconvenient at best, and downright in the way no matter the semantics of “seat fully removable”.
I don't know what Toyota is thinking with the 2021 model. I am in the market but I am going to have to get the 2020. With the 2021 You cant remove the 2nd row and its hybrid only. So they built a $10,000 ticking time bomb into the design. I have a feeling the 2020's are gonna hold their value in the long term.
Why not put the model year or generation of van you're using. The method of 2nd row seat removal depends of model year, it changes for different years. Not a well thought-out video like most others when amateurs post on TH-cam. You waste people's time searching for the correct video for year/model being searched.
Thank you for this video! My sons removed the seats for moving furniture, but didn’t know how to get them back in. This is great and looks easy!
Glad it was helpful!

No problem. Note that the 21 put airbags into the seats and thus they are no longer removable
Yeah that's my point you cannot make a camper out of the sienna hybrid. 73

There's no way to remove it? It's super annoying and painful to crawl over it.
Short and to the point! Thank you.

This is so much easier than the 2nd generation Sienna, and one of the many reasons I'm upgrading to this newer model.
the 21 and newer is not removable
@@stevenwelchtoyota Yeah I know. I don't really care for Hybrids anyway. I'm looking to go from a 2010 to a 2013 or 17 if I can find a SE model.

Try to have someone push the back of the seat forward while you hold the release. It may be jammed

Older than a 21

correct

I don't think you can remove them on the 2023. Is that correct?
not since the 21 body style change

no

Game breaker. Someone told me the Honda has removable seats something to think about. 73

Have some way to remove this Trackless? Thank you
The trolley stays in
Yeah, buy a Chrysler with Stow N Go.

Please show the secret on how to remove Sienna XLE AWD middle seat. This is a light weight middle seat.
Well that stinks that the lower part stays locked in instead of coming out completely so the floor is flat
It's the trolly
Poor design. What did you expect from the manufacturer of the world's ugliest vehicles?

YES
Why doesn’t anyone demonstrate removing the one with the jump seat attachment? Is the jump seat base removable? Or is that another Toyota scam?
IT is a heavier seat. IT comes out with the other seat

Pretty horrible design, that the middle seat track isn't recessed to allow for a flat floor.

You can't remove current generation and it works for the vast majority of the rest
It's such a shitty design. My 2019 has one that is currently stuck. Idk why they couldn't just make it hide in the car.
