    Bought the models for aesthetics, pleasantly surprised by their rules.
    I think this is the first time where stormcast models from "side games"(i.e. Warcry, Underworld) actually get decent rules.

    Great to see GW put some real effort into making these guys interesting, even if they didn't make them particularly strong. They did the same in Warcry, making them essentially an SCE Gobbapalooza.

      Everything I see about how Stormcast play and feel in Warcry makes me wish they worked that way in AOS :P

    Seriously isn't the whole translocate, lord imperitant with all his restrictions, and scions, as the totality of the books mobility feeling super jank old rules now. These guys being basically ghetto Kurnoth with a 1/game depths is kind of highlighting it. Imagine just coming down 7" with evos and retributors like BoC charges, or actually casting divine light or bless weapons. The holy commands too like, does this really need to be an enhancement? Would being able to use each one of them on the list once per game be broken. I'm just feeling down about the whole allegiance abilities/enhancements package for sc lately with the 2023 battletomes.

      Our battletome really does feel outdated... but these new warscrolls give me hope that the next book will address these concerns!

    Great video! First time I’ve heard of you guys, but I’m definitely gonna be sticking around for more! As for the Questor Soulsworn, I feel like this unit, what with how it’s described in its lore text on the warscroll, could benefit from having model options. For example, you can choose one hero model from a list of options to add to the unit, and each option gives different buffs. A wizard hero let’s them cast one spell, a priest let’s them translocate once per game, etc. and you could only have one hero in the unit, of course.
    Ultimately I think it’s a neat unit and I’ll definitely want one once they’re for sale individually, but I am disappointed they lack the versatility their lore implies they should have. But honestly that’s true for most SCE units on the tabletop, so I digress. Regardless, great video! Can’t wait to hear more from you guys!

    Cool models
    Will be great allies in other Order armies
    Kinda useful in SCE
    I wonder if the Knight as a form of "super Sergeant" if you will is a direction they are going forward with in 4.0
    Would greatly reduce SCE Warscroll number if the knights are just unit upgrades with identical stats that provide a unique ability
    (A Knight-Incantor as an Evocator upgrade who provides the Dispel Scroll for example)

    • @TheStormkeep
      @TheStormkeep  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would certainly cut down on the amount of warscrolls

    Totally gonna buy this for the knight Relictor. Way better sculpt than the single unit.

      two Relictor heads come in the box, so you can kit bash the older model to make a better looking Knight Relictor.

    Bring the pain with Krondys to help bring their effective rend to -2 and the look on your opponent's face when they realize the Retributors were in fact, the screen... :D
    Lord Veritant (G)
    Krondys
    Yndrasta

    • @TheStormkeep

      Its a very slow list with little ranged power, so you can consider swapping out the Phoenix for something like Tempestors or more Judicators

    I have a question about keywords: Yndrasta, the celestant prime, and these guys do not have any subfaction keywords. Gardus’ ability only affects friendly hallowed knights units. Do the above three gain the hallowed knights keyword when included in a hallowed knights army?

    • @egorseredkin9308
      @egorseredkin9308 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes

    • @TheStormkeep
      @TheStormkeep  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@egorseredkin9308 Correct! Any unit without a SUBFACTION keyword will gain the keyword when you choose the subfaction. Celestant-Prime and Yndrasta will gain HALLOWED KNIGHTS if they are included in a Hallowed Knights army.
      Though it does nothing for them since they already have a 4+ ward.

    So how would they perform as part of an AoS army? Are they useful in a 2k army list ?

    • @TheStormkeep
      @TheStormkeep  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! Their points were reduced in a balance update after the warscroll came out, and they are quite a strong unit in AOS. You can see them featured in a number of our lists in this video:
      th-cam.com/video/02gVZypjIhQ/w-d-xo.html
      There is a new balance update coming soon, and we will do another list video!

  • @TheDavethepally

    I think 200 points at most.
    They are going to land kill a screen or a hero. Then be left out on a flank or get killed in the clap back. 250 point unit to kill 150 to 170 point bad trade. This is Stormcast problem in general the trade down a lot

    • @TheStormkeep
      @TheStormkeep  ปีที่แล้ว

      200p could work, if our other units also went down as well (and they should!)

    Can Gardus not be taken in a Galatian Command Battalion? If he can, why not fill a battalion with him and Soulsworn?

    • @TheStormkeep

      Gardus is Unique and therefore not a CHAMPION, so he cannot be taken in the Galletian Command battalion

    I have played 3x vexillor and everblaze comet list and it´s unreliable in most matches. There are to many ward save heroes and bodyguard rules in the game and even the comet with Krondys +3 cast failed every once in a while. So it reliably kills 6 wound heroes without any saves. but anything above and with any type of ward rule is a once per game gamble.
