This is easily one of my favorite episodes in a long time. Great contributions by Dylan (especially for a first appearance), and love to see people taking Stormcast seriously
Okay I'm only less than 5 minuets into the video at the moment but I have to stop to leave a comment and point out Vince making a Snatch reference... I never thought these two worlds would collide but man am I here for it! :D haha.
It makes me sad when people ignore Saintly Assault on G. It basically gives you Lead into the Maelstrom tactic this season. And the additional stack on smashy heroes should not be ignored either. It’s chef’s kiss with Karazai if your opponent, if like most, they don’t remember that you have the ability.
Thanks for going through the traps and bad warscrolls of this army to help ppl avoid them. Is there anyway next time to have pictures of the units so we can recognize them? (I was having a hard time following along with the conversation and searching the app for the unit) Thanks again
Thanks, really like these type of episodes! Have you guys ever done an episode on playstyles? ie what the different strategies to win are, I think it would be a really interesting way to try and frame different armies and how they work
Yep, we have deep dived in the past on what I like to think of as the paths to victory. To me, that is the key, how are you trying to get at your victory, what is your main road you are driving.

The foot in the rumour engine matches at least three different creatures. It seems to just be GW's go-to for "monster feet" since it matches the Tzaanger Shaman, Bloodmaster herald of Khorne and the latest FEC herald sir Jerrion. My guess would also be FEC if only because I'm all aboard the hype ghost train for new ghouls.
Loved the show guys. Surprised we made it through, especially highlighting how many model returning powers are in the game right now, that nobody brought up how Sequitors just shut that down and can really make skeletons, obr, squids hurt cause they cant just return all their models
You shouldn't throw Underworlds and Warcry warbands into the same bucket. Yes, 90% of Underworlds warbands are bad in AoS, but for Warcry imports, close to 50% are perfectly playable. (Or were at some point before getting nerfed for being too good.) So it is not a big surprise that Questor Soulsworn are a good unit now.
33:30 the Templar is a great unit in an LRL list, the bonus to cast goes a long way and the unit itself has a lot of utility, it costs less than teclis which means you can bring more and still fits in a one drop, so good if you don’t want teclis but need a support monster 1:05:45 I think judicators are better than reavers, sure reavers get double the attacks, but I think they lost their mortal wounds, unless it’s an ability not on their warscroll, but for 30 points more you have a more durable unit with good damage potential
1:55:11 imagine if Bastian made Annihilators battle line and gave them wholly within 12 a 3d6 charge. Then I’d take him for 350p-400p! We need more heroes in Stormcasts that act like the heroes in Kharadron; buffing and unlocking other units!
Enjoyable show as always, thanks Vince & Co. for the time and energy you put in to this every week ^^ Ah SCE.. my favourite army for fluff and models, but one I don't play any more because there are just too many units that look cool but do nothing.. I have hopes they might do some fixing in 4th edition, but not holding my breath.. would be nice to see more mixed variety lists instead of the same 3-4 units on repeat...
Hey! its me! the 4-1 meltdown list guy. Not a regular listener so I'm not sure how you do things, but I'd love to give a rundown of my list and how it plays and why I chose the units that I did if you're interested in having me on as a guest some day!
Wish i was watching live for this one. When they were talking about the Chariot i would have asked bow or spear? Look forward to more revisited armies. its vids like this really shows i could not be a tournie player. unless the unit is blatantly bad like crossboos i seem to have a lot of trouble finding the traps and bad scrolls in an army. i always thought Judicators with bows were superior to x-bows. longer range, -1 rend, chance to do mortals. Quantity has a quality of it's own plus points cost can mean a lot. either way i'm a rule of cool casual so that over all works for me. Recently started Stormcast with the theme of great weapons and x-bows. My main battleline are vanquishers backed by x-bow judicators, grand hammer annihilators. I also have a chariot and evocators on kitties. So some good units and some underpowered/ traps.
Thank you guys, that was a really good show! Do you think Evocators on Dracolines are worth it when used without Lauchon? I don't like relying on magic and it feels more like an exploit anyway, which I don't overly enjoy. But I do have 6 Dracolines painted and really like them.
The full list is at 2:42:43 and I haven't played it into OBR specifically yet, but I think you'd be surprised by the damage output of the cats. They absolutely can demolish big tanky units
@@VinceVenturella @deltrox98 thanks chaps. I tend to listen to the show during car journeys etc so I wanted to message while I still remembered incase it wasn’t going to come up. Looking forward to trying something different with my Stormcast. Last list went 4-1 with Karazai x 6 Praetors
Hi, I dont understand how Launchon the soulseeker works with Evocator on dracoline, on the Battlescroll of launchon it is stated that you take ONE wizzard , and not one wizzard unit so How do you make the full pack move 18 inc
@@VinceVenturella oh…. Got it now thanks for the answer! And thanks for the video and the great content ! It’s always so interesting to hear you talk ! You are providing by far the best advise and the best content regarding SCE !!!
Despite its reputation as a "beginner army", Stormcast is absolutely not beginner friendly. There are so many traps and terrible warscrolls and they don't play like it says on the tin, ie straightforward tank n spank. If you try to play them like that you'll just get destroyed.
Need to point out that the Imperatant doesn’t work with the new Warcry Questor Soulsworn. The Imperatant’s rule requires the unit to come from reserves and also arrive via the Scions of the Storm ability.
Soulsworn are eligible for Scions, and they have the Thunderstrike keyword, so as far as I know, they can benefit from the Imperatant’s Guided by Lightning.
@@TylerEmerson sorry, my comment wasn’t clear - I meant the warscroll ability for a once per game teleport. Also, it seems I must have misunderstood what you said in the video - I thought you’d said that they could land at 7” from a mid-game teleport with the Imperatant’s ability. Sorry for the confusion.
This is easily one of my favorite episodes in a long time. Great contributions by Dylan (especially for a first appearance), and love to see people taking Stormcast seriously
Stormcast Revisited is my favourite Black Library novel by Evelyn Waaagh!
Hahaha, this gave me a good laugh!
Unexpected. Very funny.
People run hordes of squigs and nobody bats an eye, but make a unit of 5 dogs and everyone loses their minds.

It and Lock, Stock are two all time classics for me. I own both soundtracks and could probably quote about half of both of the movies.

I'll never forget at Nova last year I charged Bastian with 4 Fulminators, he survived with 1 wound, then killed 3 of them on his retaliation

One of the things I like about Bastian is that "he is what he is", combos are great until they don't happen.

Would love to see more like this. Especially from the early books like Warclans and Nighthaunt

The unit is a wizard, so it all moves. It doesn't specify single model, it just says wizard. That unit is a wizard, so they qualify.
