Sir, I have 2 question related to this circuit. 1. Do the size of ir receiver and ir transmitter would affect the circuit? Because I use 3mm led photo diode and 3mm led transmitter. But the circuit can't work. The led is off or in other condition, maybe stay on. No proximity function work. And next time I try to power up again, the transmitter has looked like dead (no light when I see it through the mobile camera). I use 5v from mobile charger as a supply anyway. 2. Why is the led transmitter burnt out when I connected the +3v to +ve and the -3V to its -ve leg? I see this circuit has the transmitter is connected in reversed polarity. Another channel use the photo diode has been connected reversed, but the transmitter is not reversed. Which one is right? And the reason, please. Hope you would mind helping me in this case. Hello sir can you help my please the circuet in question is the MC 3334 circuet diagram for a Hei ignirion system I use old Opel car from the 80s it uses 4 pin GM ignition module who uses that MC 3334 ic chip design and induction trigger pick up coil with e core ignition coil. Now I have problem my lande does not have those special 5 pin gm ignition modules who if grounded can retard ignition timing on my distributor. The circuet does not look variabel enough on the 4 pin gm ignition module . So I hoppe for advice in the past I tried 2x ignition modules to see if 1x pick up coil culd activate them and it can ,I also tried out potenciometer to use preciseli 500k pott from the + pick up wire to + input terminal on the 4 pin ignition module the pott was inbetvean the circuet I supose I done sone thing wrong I used speaker wire didnt have any thing ells so the timing did in fact retarded the ignition coil but the engine run crapy and insted of fiering at compresion my car run on exaust stroke. So that made my wonder how can I disrupt signal for short duration of time? Im not shure my self what to do honestli? Some peopel say use triac some use schmit trigger so Im confused like hell sir . Originali I tough there is posibiliti of useing dual ignition modules and activate 1 or the 2 by useing resistors and some sort of switching circuet relays turning on or off on demand those ignition modules ,Im not shure if there exist any disruptor circuets or any related satelite circuets or chalen controling circuets for that task? Any way my problem is resistance in wires and have cold engine start problems in winter . So I desire some sort of voltage booster circuet or retarding my ignition system for easyr engine start. So the question is how do I do it or calculate it? I did notice resistors and capacitors have some effects from ground and positive sides of ignition modules so Im not shure what to expect as result? Some peopel recomended my useing gold plated low resistance wire so not shure what to expect. Originali I wanted to replace the 4 pin gm ignition module circuet with ordinari more variabel ne555 timer but Im not shure if that thing can work fast enough to drive darlington transistors or not? So I hoppe you finde time and inspect the MC 3334 timer I alredy noticed it isnt variabel enough ,ignition coil saturation is terribel and general spark does not acure at lowr engine rpms also the old hei circuet is effected by ground static so the circuet often fails or miss fires the original clamping zener diode is missing in my circuet . So I reali hoppe some one can tell my more what to try out exactli to just retard my ignition timing or buff the spark bether in safe maner not to cause problems with my alternator or baterry .
