Hi this is a very nice project, when i tried to do it, it works fine but in the reverse method as required, that is when i remove my hand water starts flowing and when i keep my hand it stops please help
We need a pulse of 30 mSec when we place our hand in front of the sensor and once hands are removed another pulse of reverse polarity should be sent to solenoid. The circuit need not require any relay.

Sorry to ask can you reverse the sensor so the tap will close when detecting object end open when there's no object on sight

No.. it can not take the load. Use any NPN power transistor
Can I use normal IR sensor from market?
If you use 5v IR PROXIMITY SENSOR then use a 1k resistor in series with the vcc pin. It will drop down the voltage

I have one doubt that is how to control the flow of the water ... As 10 or 20ml of water...
Water tap can be opened or closed. Water flow control is not possible with this circuit.

All connections made asper the given circuit the solenoid coil is continuously on and when the motion sensor active solenoid coil is off....
Check the output of the IR proximity sensor. It should be high if it sense any object. Also check the TIP122 NPN TRANSISTOR.

12v not safe for ir proximity circuit, i chcked that 10k resistor burned

You had said input is 5-9v for IR sensor module.. But you are giving 12v supply... IR module may get damage soon right?
In IR module, use 1k resistor instead of 220 ohm. The circuit will work fine.
