I recently bought a C6 LS3 3LT package with 48k miles on it for 25k and i can say it's the best bang for your buck. It handles very nicely and its pretty fast even by today's standards and ofcourse LS3 is one of the best sounding V8s
Thank you for talking about the LS2, I feel like nowadays everyone just wants to go fast lol been there done that on motorcycles 😂, now at 27 I want a nice sports car to replace my 2 motorcycles
Ive owned 2008 C8 LS3 for 3yrs. And the best car ive owned. Bought it at 20k miles and im the 2nd owner. Its supercharged and its literally my daily driver. I LOVE it!!!! ❤️
Much appreciated, I’m glad you found it helpful! Good luck on your search, after owning one for over a year I think you can’t go wrong. Just amazing cars all around.
The C6 is definitely on the short list of cars that I’ve got my eye on. The way I see it , life is too short not enjoy a still beautiful designed car while I work my ass off. It‘s been a long time since I owned a V8 powered car let alone something that sounds beautiful with solid performance. Definitely have to go through the options by the C6 is one of of not the best bang for your buck. Looking forward to watching the rest and hopefully snagging this low mileage beauty up.
Go for it, I owned the car in this video for about a year and a half and bought it for 20k flat. At that number there’s not a better looking or performing car on the road imo. The LS3 cars are certainly a little better but a bit more expensive so it’s all a give and take. Good luck with the search, these things are a blast!
Fair and balanced review. While the 2008-13 LS3 is a better engine ( 430hp and 424 ib/ft }, the LS2 still puts up decent numbers, and is a cheaper option. Lose a few hp, but save some $$$. And 400 hp is still pretty respectable. One year anniversary of my 2008 C6 1LT 6 speed manual, and at only 16,000 miles, she is basically mint.
It had the worst harmonic balancer issues even though most of them have that, and people seem to think the LS1 is more reliable if built up while the LS3 and up make more power. The only thing I can attest to is the harmonic balancer. It cost me over $1k when I first bought the car.
Yes I've been daily driving it for just over a year and gone on 3 1000+ mile road trips with it, not a single issue other than mild oil consumption since the balancer replacement.@@johnliberty6779
I would say the "biggest shame and disappointment" in your channel is that you have had access to all 4 trims of the C6 but still dont have a nice (pro and cons) comparision video for those shopping. Your reviews on the cars have been a nice balance of facts (without getting into the weeds) and have kept the opinionated parts clear, precise, and seemingly as unbiased as one can be.
I appreciate the input and may make a video on this actually. I hadn’t thought of it previously because I had access to each at different times but never more than 2 together. still have enough footage to make that happen though, and appreciate your kind words regarding the reviews! Thanks for watching
Do you mean the interior comfort? I had a 2004 C5 Z06 and also owned the car in the video. I prefer the C6 interior, but had bucket seats in my 04 that were incredible
@@running2redline The C6 has NO adjustable seats, my knees LITERALLY hit underneath the dashboard. I do mean the interior it’s like the definition of trying to squeeze into an 🐜 anthill. All other models I was fine in.
That’s very odd, I found the C6 quite roomy and the seats do move. I’m 6’1” and fit just fine, maybe I’m missing something. Either way, thanks for watching!
If you meant gas hogger, not at all. This is actually my personal car and I’ve been averaging above 20 mpg with some spirited driving. On the highway it even gets close to 30 mpg
I can tell you what I experienced. I owned the car in the video for about a year and a half, had to replace the harmonic balancer at 35K miles (got the notorious wobble). And other than that it was plenty fast and reliable. It burned a little oil but any LS will do that. I’ve driven LS3 cars and decided for myself at least that the extra money wasn’t worth a difference you can’t even feel from behind the wheel.
Mainly because if you are looking for a C6 on a budget they are generally $5-7k less for similar mileage. It’s a great bargain, although the LS3 is certainly the better engine. I reviewed this LS2 because I own this car and could provide better information and opinion after owning it for a year.
There are better options for sure, but at this price point there aren’t many. I owned the one in the video for 1.5 years and enjoyed the power. It can feel a little dead in a corner though. Thanks for watching!

That sounds like a great deal, congrats and enjoy it!
Manual or auto ?
c6 ls3 2011 38.5k miles for 20k + my mustang ecoboost 48k miles getting it off carvana friday cant wait
Everyone’s car that they just bought is the best bang for the buck. You sound like a clown
Trading a mustang for vette is a major plus in my book. @TheSlowEcoboost
Thank you for talking about the LS2, I feel like nowadays everyone just wants to go fast lol been there done that on motorcycles 😂, now at 27 I want a nice sports car to replace my 2 motorcycles
It's not like the LS2 is slow. The horsepower difference is minimal
That headlight upgrade 👌
I bought a c6 ls3 manual for under 13k a few months ago! I will say it’s rare to get as lucky as I did
Decent condition?
That’s an awesome deal, congrats and I hope you’re enjoying the car!
Must have been wrecked or salvaged title
I wouldn't trust ls3 for 13k manual
Why was it priced so low whats the story, how many miles, rebuilt title etc?
I'm happy for you, you got your first ad.
Much appreciated, thanks for your support of the channel!

Supercharged must be a blast, enjoy it!
This was a really good review that focused on the first few years of the C-6. I'm currently shopping for one and this eas a huge help.
Much appreciated, I’m glad you found it helpful! Good luck on your search, after owning one for over a year I think you can’t go wrong. Just amazing cars all around.

Bought one yesterday. Super excited!! Thanks for that great review!!
Congrats that’s huge!!! I really hope you enjoy the car and glad the review was of use!
Such a thorough and fantastic review thank you
Much appreciated, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Just picked up my 05 6 speed c6 . Saved at Walmart
Congrats, I loved my 05. Enjoy the car

Got mine last year in July it’s been awesome!
Enjoy it, I just sold mine a week ago and it’s been quite painful to see it go
Nonchalantly, the harmonic stabilizer is defective from the factory and needs to be changed upon purchase...
Thankfully it’s not to expensive to do, but certainly the biggest flaw of the LS2 C6
Why do most people rank the LS2 C6 lower than every other LS engine ?
It had the worst harmonic balancer issues even though most of them have that, and people seem to think the LS1 is more reliable if built up while the LS3 and up make more power. The only thing I can attest to is the harmonic balancer. It cost me over $1k when I first bought the car.
@@running2redline Makes sense do u Daily drive it ?

NGL, a C6 Grand Sport is kind of intriguing!
I have a review of that too, great car and super fun to drive!
Ls2 or ls3. Ls3 kinda expensive so I’m looking for the cheaper alternative
Shhhh. stop driving up the prices... lol
Great vid !!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed!
I got a c6 automatic with 70k miles for 11k and a couple of chickens! I don’t think the owner knew what he had!!
That a crazy deal, congrats and enjoy the car!
i love c6 z06 or zr1
C4-C5 years for me, C6 was LITERALLY like sitting in an 🐜 ANTHILL, if I wanted to go newer, C7 and above for me.
Do you mean the interior comfort? I had a 2004 C5 Z06 and also owned the car in the video. I prefer the C6 interior, but had bucket seats in my 04 that were incredible

@@running2redline Huh? 🤔 interesting maybe i ought to give the convertible a spin sometime.
What about the gas LS2 is not a gas jogger or is it ?

C6 are a great car......................
Why everybody in the comments is only talking about LS3 bro... I need LS2 feedback 😂
I can tell you what I experienced. I owned the car in the video for about a year and a half, had to replace the harmonic balancer at 35K miles (got the notorious wobble). Your talking 20-30 hp more in a LS3 than an LS2. You can’t even feel the difference ..BOTH great engines
Yes, after driving both I didn’t notice any difference, can’t go wrong with either
Why the LS2. The LS3 is one of the best motors ever.
Mainly because if you are looking for a C6 on a budget they are generally $5-7k less for similar mileage. It’s a great bargain, although the LS3 is certainly the better engine. I reviewed this LS2 because I own this car and could provide better information and opinion after owning it for a year.
nah - get the ls3 and thank me later
and a manual?
C6 vette is kinda boring. I’ve owned one. Better sports cars out there
