    Looks like a very nice system & very clear/ sharp screen.

      For sure. 1080P on the screen! Been happy with it since we installed it. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

    Looks like a great unit. I wish they made a plate to match the furion mounting holes. 90% of RV's use furion from the factory.

      They might be compatible with newer Furion units. Mine is from 2017/2018 so it wouldn’t surprise me if new Furion prepped units do matchup. But drilling a few holes was ok. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

    My current back up camera is wired to running lights instead of the recommended reverse lights. Wanted it as a rear view which helps with a 8'-6" wide tralier. Being old tech, it looses signal often (36 ft behind the rear bumper and mounted off the licenseplate mounting) it transmits through the trailer metal frame. Also having a 1990 truck (way older than your 2008), many of those features would be a huge improvement to travel. I'll be looking into adding this to my rig. Also agree with mounting it not on thecrear view mirror for regular driving. Thanks for the video.

      Sure thing. This seems to be a pretty good system. Love the dash cam and LCD screen. Still have to test the signal while towing down the freeway. Appreciate you watching 👍🏼

    What I hope to find one day is a four camera wireless security camera system for my RV that does not need to be connected to the internet to work. It would be so simple to connect them to a local wireless router and then view on my phone. There are hundreds of systems that ALMOST make the cut but they have to talk to their cloud to work.

    • @WhyWait

      That would be great and a good idea.

    Have you tested this out on the highway yet.
    Do all those wires get in the way or look cluttered?

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have tested it on the highway and surprisingly the rear observation camera on the RV only dropped out and lost signal once for about 5-7 seconds! It did really well. The wires can be as neat as you want to run them. I just have those 3 wires running along my dash secured down then they connect to my power source. Not a problem in my setup at all. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

    interesting and nice looking piece of kit. Really interested to see how the signal quality is. I have a 44' toyhauler and the signal on my Furrion drops out all the time when at freeway speeds so interested to see how this works. Thanks for sharing

      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what I hear. I’m curious to see how the signal holds up on the road with this one as well. Thanks for checking it out 👍🏼

      @@WhyWait How has it been going? Any followup? Im eager to pull the trigger to get it but dont want another Furrion waste of money. Another question, the front facing camera, can you record and pull the sim card to download an entire travel day or is it just in loops of up to 5 mins? Thanks

      @@jamesthurston5529 so we just took a trip with it and I gotta say surprisingly the rear observation camera only lost signal once and for about 5 seconds. Pretty impressed by that. It comes with a SD card slot I know that and you can set the recording loop for a few different times. I haven’t looked into all the options with that though. I’m not sure if your asking about a setting where you just set it up to record and it records nonstop for like 6 hours I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♂️ On the link here you can scroll down and download the user manual if that helps. I’m out at sea right now.

      I’m on my third system. I was pretty happy with my range dominator but these new BT systems are steps above. I didn’t do the BT 12 though because I basically just finished my BT7 install and I like having the side views

    Nice unit. Our 2017 Montana came with a factory Furion but it's very poor quality.

      I’ve been curious if those Furion cameras Rick and if they were any good. Like I say in the video most of the time I just use Factime video to backup. Love doing it that way.

      @@WhyWait our Furions quality is so bad that I'd never trust it backing up so I still get out and look the area over first plus have my wife back there. Love your videos! I've picked up some great information and ideas. We live north of Coeur D'alene, Idaho a few miles. If you're ever in this area we'd love to meet you and your family. 🇺🇲👍

    can the dash cam stand on its own or total system need to be hooked together to work?

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean on its own as in without the backup/observation camera installed?
