    Mariano, I think you have way too many bluffs and as a vlogger, should definitely adjust your play accordingly. These vlogs eaisly allow you to get called more often so you shouldn't be overbluffing in general. Clearly you must be a profitable player regardless, but I think you are burning away some of your profit by playing like this. Also, in the hand with KJ, I think you should pick much less coordinated boards to bluff on as when these runouts miss, it makes it more likely that an opponent will call you because the obvious draw missed.

    No hate or chat pro bs, just my personal opinion, really like your vlogs tho :)
    Your 10:10 spot was quite a big punt. Saying that "you were happy for finding a bluff where a lot of people are massivly underbluffing" is just wrong. His play is super polar given he raised you multiway and big bets turn. We dont have a lot of raises here IP in general, vs such a polar definetly not Ax as a bluff, still to good to bluff that vs a polar line. Thats more of a hand to catch instead of bluffing given its too good to bluff still. Would still fold OTT given you have sooo many better hands to call with OTT
    Would also check that flop multiway, we have to be super careful here, definetly x some low Ax IMO and fold OTT he just has so little bluffs here. And getting a fish who limp/calls AK pre frol TP is not a great idea in general

    I don't know if this ever was questioned but that last hand I think I like all in vs overbet. At the stakes you are at it makes sense but it also denies confidence in the guy playing what you were up against. On the other hand if you are betting into a flush you are screwed. I don't know. I liked the line leading in but the end felt like a bluff. More I think of it are we trying to pick off the straight as well? But the guy was ready to call with 2 pair with way too much on the board. His spot was nuts, was it the less aggression by you at the start? But that would make sense if you hit it on the river either way. He should fold river aggression with so much on the board unless he thinks your doing a bluff that looks like value. But watching your videos you don't. You Bluff and win this by saying you have straight or flush, or even I have flush over your straight you just picked up. That is your style and didnt do that. I'd like to hear your thoughts. I typed a lot and watched the last hand like 5 times. lol

      @@MarianoPoker I'm speculating that you don't have anywhere near a $400k minimum, 20 buy in poker roll. I also don't buy the "started a few years ago at 1/3" Bilzerian-like narrative that it's all from poker.
      You're right- I don't even have evidence- let alone proof- to support my claims. Postle plaintiffs have nothing either. Your ascent and Postle's plays are both outlandish.

    Don’t ever post a comment but have to say, you’re the best poker vlogger on TH-cam by far. When it comes to thin value betting, nobody comes close. And I’m amazed by your creativity and thinking outside the box like with the A3 hand because it can get a little mundane by watching standard NL lines being played out every time. Thank you for the content Mariano and keep up the good work!

      When I started playing poker, I had $840 and no idea what I was doing. I busted my "roll" 3 times in a month playing 3/5 $300 max at the Gardens, then realized how lost I was.
      I took a $600 loan from my best friend, began grinding 1/3 while learning the game, ran hot for 6 months, and eventually won a life-changing $5000 jackpot at San Manuel.
      In total, it took me over 1 year to build my bankroll to $10,000... things went well after that

    • @Scott-wq5lk
      @Scott-wq5lk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Tommy Gunz This is a valid point, but significantly easier if you have a full time job. If the commenter is specifically looking to play only poker for income, then taking shots can be very detrimental to the bankroll, especially when starting out. When I was starting out, I believe it was noted that one should have 30 buy-ins at a certain level in order to play professionally (to account for variance), so you'd need upwards of 10K just to play 1-3 for income. Dropping 1K of that or more into a good 2-5 or 5-10 could take a while to recuperate at lower stakes.
      But having said all that, if the poster has a source of steady income and is looking to merely build UP a bankroll to then start playing professionally, then taking shots is a great way to do so, because you can increase your roll fairly substantially with one or two sessions of really drunk players. And, when those players get lucky and you go broke, you're only busto until your next paycheck.

    Curious how the 7 would’ve been a good bluff card seeing that J9 was already a straight on the flop, so it essentially would change nothing outside of random gutters

    Mariano hello from Ecuador! You are a really good guy. Please your advice ✌ I won a big ticket tournament online.... for me the money of the tourney is like 2 months salary in Ecuador... but it is not redeem or cash I have to play it... I wish I can change it for the cash. My QUESTION is: should I late registration the very last minute to try to get to the money by folding almost every thing but AA or KK is online.
    Or it will be better to start from first level.
    Thank you for the advice.

    Regarding the A3 hand; maybe I'm misunderstanding how balance should be applied, but do we really need to think about balancing against a player who limps AK UTG? Don't we just want to play ABC poker against them and assume they're playing pretty face up? Further; don't we want (at least) the Ah in our hand when we turn our hand into a bluff OTT so we can jam heart rivers?
