This went ok because you happened to win a flip but a mixture of Bellagio nits and strong pros fighting over the occasional fish, and willing to weather the variance of breaking even against each other in the meanwhile, is a pretty brutal environment, and your win rate assuming you're even beating the table is probably not as high as it would be playing lower. But thanks for showing me what it's like so I don't have to risk my $10k! Good luck.

Nice one. Always the more genuine of the poker vloggers out there (not pushing a telegram or WSOP link). Honest commentary and perspective is great. One q - how do you tell pros vs amateurs in Vegas (assuming you don’t already know them).
Great stuff. BTW, in that hand where the QT two pair gets counterfeited by the deuce on the river... please don't drop spoilers. Like, once you said that, we knew that the bluff on the river wasn't going to work. Fire the bluff, and *then* in the V.O. you can say "Maybe showing that ace after I flopped the nuts came back to bite me." Keep up the great work.
Saw your post on Instagram. Those were one of the reasons I got tired of Vegas, sold the house and moved back to Dallas. Looking back I don't regret the move to Vegas as I purchased the house in Vegas around 2019 and was able to sell it during the Vegas real estate boom for three times what I paid.
another great video lex though you did say you were gonna stay away from the 10/20/40 for a bit 😂😂 I'm glad you had a better session dude, keep rocking it
Glad to see you booked a win in the big game. The QT bluff has to be all-in (you said he had ~$2k behind and the pot was ~$1.3k). Otherwise, don't even bother. No offense, but that raise to $860 or whatever was half-hearted, and is getting snapped off near 100% of the time vs the super small donk bet on the river - he got exactly what he wanted and that was for you to not bet that much. Otherwise, you're read on his hand strength was a good one. Next time, you just need to execute! And don't try rationalizing that "your bet should look extremely strong" or that "it's what you would do with a super strong hand." No. It would look extremely strong if you went all-in! And that's what your opponent would think, especially a fish.
By the way I'm glad you won but you won because you won a flip. Not because you were outplaying people. I still think you should be careful in these types of games as you have said it yourself, there are many players better than you and will feast. JMO.
I think the raise with Q 10 as a bluff is great play but i think we want to raised larger closer to Pot or 1.2x pot to actually put A high in a tough spot. A rec isn’t gonna fold top pair to a small* bet on the river
I've never really thought about the effect of the main game ultimately collecting all the crushers. It's always struck me as a great way to keep (e.g.) two solid full games instead of four weak ones, always on the verge of breaking. But now I'm not so sure that's the best approach. My local casino does *not* do main + must-move. The players complain, but now I think this is better.
I play in a must move structure. I like it as it forces everybody to play vs everybody (that survives). The main game usually ends up being whomever ran well that day. 8-10 hours doesn’t always go to the best player. Lots of luck in Poker.
As a hindsight viewer but also thinking as the hand played out your never getting any Ace to fold since the queen makes them only lose to AK and with you you played it he discounted your polarized range and put you on way more bluffs and chops. Before you said the results I assumed he had A6-A9 but its way easier on the sidelines. Love the vlogs and honesty!

exact same thought process here lately i have been playing the 5-10 20 st game here in town it is the biggest game available in our area 2k/ match stack deep and time rake which is better than the 2-5 8 bucks a hand deal.. tends to play big around 4-10k later in the evening occasionally even bigger but only good for fri or sat nights for a few hours still competition is a mixed bag some times real tough/a mix of whales and professional players. have to be very selective to when it is good to play it or if there is more fish in PLO or 2/5😁
Hi, Lex, I'm the guy on your right in seat 8 on Wednesday's 10/20/40 that asked you not to vlog so I don't embarrass myself. Hope the Wednesday session went well for you as well like this one. Good luck
Bad spot to run a bluff with Q-10 with that runs out. . Y? Here we go…You flat to a rase of 100$ A-Q-10. Great flop for Q-10.. medium size bet of 180 on the flop.. turns a 2 again great cars for you. You bet relatively small,240 into a 800$ pot. ( thin value) I like. Unfortunately the river is another 2…..grrrrrr…. So when he leads out VERY small there’s only one card that does that right??? So when you make it 860$ the only thing you could be representing is AK there. So do you really flat open in that position with AK. Maybe, but most likely not. So at best he knows he’s chopping when he calls that 860$$
The $100 bet on your Q10 hand was the opponent way of letting himself call a raise and goad you into a bluff. Since the bet is so small you feel like your making a big raise when you make it $800 or $900….. but that’s still a small bet relative to the pot and he knows the odds of you having a better hand. He’s getting 3 to 1 on a call. Easy call for him. You needed to really punish that bet on call. With his stack he might not fold to a shove either. Dangerous play raising him there and not a profitable one.
Recs dont like to fold those spots. the AQT22 board, at least here in FL i hear alot of "well i only lose to AK, and i figured you would be betting bigger if you flopped it or had a set". which is a strange line of thinking but i cant tell you how many times ive tried to bluff people off a chop and just get sigh called lol. Recs dont care about the money, its the thrill for them they tend to make more hero calls and i think your line would be great against a thinking opp. just my 2 cents, GLGL and keep getting after it big dog! hopefully next time you come to bestbet you can run a little better! lol
A little criticism. In the QTss hand, how can you rep a boat when you just flatted from BTN (low likelyhood of A2)? I think it would be a good hand to fire a bluff in a 3! pot, but in this case, it's just suicide because the Q plays, and you should never have a better kicker (you're not flatting AK from BTN). I guess you could rep the flopped straight, but I think you would bet larger OTF and OTT to get two pairs to call. It's a straightforward call for BB
I looked for this comment and I found it. I was hoping that I was not the only person realizing this. Hindsight is 20/20, but that seems to be an obvious call on the river.

Just fold and buy yourself a nice dinner with that 100 dollars. He has 2 pair with a queen kicker - so unless you have A/K, which you didn't raise pre-flop, I think he's calling. Small mistake, but you ran better and, so you can play at these stacks. Luv the vlogs make me think
Good going, Lex Re your QT hand when you bluff raised on the river: I agree with going bigger of bluffing on the river, but you bets before the river didn’t show much strength, so to the villian, it probably looked like you have a weak ace also when you only bluffed +700, so he probably was calling for the chop. To get him off the chop, you probably needed to go 1.5 pot.
I think its a bad bluff on the Q10 hand, you say the bb is a rec player implying not very experienced. He's never folding any ace on that river, he chops with nearly all of them.
