You can exit to main menu after killing the final enemy, when you reload the whole room spawns, so you don't need to exit and re-enter. You only need to rest at the Prie Dieu every few runs to refill fervor. Saves a bunch of time. I also believe, it may be faster to skip the paintings with this method, and only kill the high value target. EDIT: Just some last notes after doing it for awhile. I think skipping the paintings only really works if you have perfect execution of the farm...if you end up being a bit slow or sloppy like me, it felt better to keep the paintings in the run. I also found that the Azure-Cyclone ability was the only attack that quickly and consistently killed the last enemy in one shot. I also decided to drop the bead that gives tears for breaking scenery (very negligible) for the bead that accelerates the cast time of prayers, this felt like a meaningful time-gain.

One piece of advice that i can add is that if you have the mea culpa at max level, you can use the ascending edge (up+attack) combo finisher to kill the Sleeping Tomb before it can attack. I'm not sure if it's technically faster but I've found it to be easier than having to parry.

Is anyone know if the church stays upgraded after you max it out? In new game plus I mean, or do you need to donate the $100,000 tears every playthrough? I guess the real question is once you get the upgrade for the prei deua or whatever it's called the bonfire thing shrine resting spot whatever the upgrade that allows you to use it to fast travel to all of the other shrines does that follow you to new game plus?
Unfortunately it won’t stay unlocked, you will need to donate again in your next play-through. I have a faster farming video than this one in the arch cathedral rooftops, you can easily farm the tears there for what it’s worth!

This is a pretty early game spot though, there’s a much better one in the Archcathedral Rooftops in case you do want to farm to give to the church or perhaps to upgrade your flasks since it can get a bit pricey! Yeah sounds good I just finished my first play through of the game and I’m about to give it another go…I donated around 1500 to the church in the first run but was planning to go all out this run…
@@greybushgames1 the absolute BEST thing you can get from donating to the church in my opinion is the ability to fast travel between save points if you donate a certain amount, which I think is 20,000 tears of atonement! Good luck with that, glad to see people enjoying this game as much as I did.
For sure I love the game I picked it up last Friday as I needed a new game and was getting tired of playing the same 3 games over and over while waiting for a couple new ones to release glad my cheap ass got this one

You could hit her with a sacred onslaught then do a three hit combo then Azure cyclone and kill her without blocking
