I have received a new spring plus seal kit from Custom Air Seals, but the new piston seal is so tight i can't fit it into the chamber, also the new spring is about 30mm longer than the original broken spring. is that normal or have they sent me the incorrect parts ?

Yes you can install a gas Ram I believe I made a video on that already I did not like it and I went back to the spring on my .22
