Me when I first watched that scene in Meteor Garden: *Ugh so cute and look how Shancai stares at him, especially him staring back at her while playing beautifully* Me now that I watch this video: *I never noticed, well damn*
Should have just watched the original Taiwanese one. The sound quality is pretty bad (the boom mic picked up all the traffic and background noise) but at least they didn't fake the whole thing. And at least the main song sounded good (original singer) rather than this cheap sounding knockoff.
I saw this on Netflix and kept questioning why his fingers never really moved and also how slow he would move his bow... best violinist (in the show) oh and I got so annoyed on how the audience was so off on clapping. It’s so simple to know when to clap on beat...
The best part about the guitarist is that he's holding the wrong guitar. You'll hear nylon strings in the beginning (classical guitar) but he's using an acoustic
*PLOT TWIST:* THE TAMBOURINE IS SINGING!!!! Edit: I don’t think the other comment had enough likes so I didn’t see it, but there’s a comment that says the exact same thing written 4 days before I did. 😅
yassfish fish The other comment didn’t have as my likes as it does now, so I would’ve had to keep scrolling to see it (I’m assuming) so I didn’t realize that there was another comment.
The guitarist there too. He was strumming down with a pick on a steel string acoustic when you could *clearly* hear that it is a fingerpicked nylon string.
This is sooo funny! I just noticed as well that on the final close-up to the "violin player" the guy in the piano is not the actual actor who was "playing" the piano before. I wonder if they had someone who actually played the piano; not sure why bother if his performance was not really going to save this debacle!
Guitarista's faking as well. He's strumming when the backing track calls for plucking, he's too tense, he's obviously avoiding the strings (probably to reduce noise pollution like eddy said), he also doesn't shift finger position (you can tell by the lack of muscle movement in his forearms), and he's holding the guitar too far away from his body (afraid he might drop it?). What's really uncomfortable though is how awkward his strumming is, my god. It's like he's stroking a cat but he's afraid it might bite.
0:58 As a member of the piano gang, I feel so confused with this part right here, like there's definitely something wrong with the pianist's hands there 😂😂
@@aesthetism9 Man the fingers aren't even playing to the sound. As the camera is starting to pan up, the music plays two notes but the dude doesn't even press the keys
I love how the first thing I see is everyone pretending to play an instrument and doing a terrible job at it, AND they use close up shots to make it more obvious!
Ahh yes HE AINT EVEN PLUCKING THE FRICKING GUITAR AND SHIFTING HIS FINGER POSITION but tbh its like guitar boi isnt even pressing any string like WOOOOOOOOOWW sOoOoOo TaLeNtEd that hes just holding it too far from his body like hes afraid to drop it when there is a literall strap......
And the acting didn't match anything with the sound too. The dude acting is "playing" guitar with a pick, picking down each string then coming up very slow (sweep picking), with the left hand probably in a position that forms one chord. While the sound you hear would require a faster picking (or fingerstyle play) of some notes from a scale/chord with would require changes on the left hand/fingers position, and it wouldn't require that very slow sweep picking the actor is doing to sound correctly.

He's not even moving his fingers and you're complaining about them not vibrating 😂😂
Google is Stealing my Data like this mans is still in first position yall talking about vibrato 😭😭
I don't get it, they both said something about vibrato, shifting, and fingers not moving... not really complaining in my opinion
You forgot about the guitar player more than the producers did
Ikr
I think they dont know how to play guitar so they left it out...
@@Light14Lilium yeah, but the guitar man was literally just balancing himself... He didn't even play notes...
@@Light14Lilium The guy plays the guitar when the guitar is gone... He doesn't move his hands... Jesus Christ. I'm not even a guitarist and I can tell...
Everytime I watch one of your videos I get guilted into practicing the piano. Before you guys I had stagnated for a couple years but now I’m actually getting back into it! I didn’t think I was ever gonna get back to playing- thank you so much!
Hope you're still at it!
Me when I first watched that scene in Meteor Garden: *Ugh so cute and look how Shancai stares at him, especially him staring back at her while playing beautifully*
Me now that I watch this video: *I never noticed, well damn*
Same 😂
Jazmin yessssssssss
I wasn’t even paying attention to that🥵🥵🥵all I focused on was “stop oh god please sToP tHe ViOlIn aCtInG”
Should have just watched the original Taiwanese one. The sound quality is pretty bad (the boom mic picked up all the traffic and background noise) but at least they didn't fake the whole thing. And at least the main song sounded good (original singer) rather than this cheap sounding knockoff.
Lmao mood
I saw this on Netflix and kept questioning why his fingers never really moved and also how slow he would move his bow... best violinist (in the show) oh and I got so annoyed on how the audience was so off on clapping. It’s so simple to know when to clap on beat...
Abby what show is this?
@@neoculture4215 Meteor Garden
Anastasija i was going to watch that but nopeee
@@kelseyleeves8514 the show isnt that bad besides the music factor
Oof Nation it’s just the music parts that are bad, the story overall is good
I like how the guitarist isn't even strumming half the time
The best part about the guitarist is that he's holding the wrong guitar. You'll hear nylon strings in the beginning (classical guitar) but he's using an acoustic
Also, there is no guitar in the music.
1:10 Guitar plucking in the BGM, but actor is strumming it.
Slamalamadingdangdong THANK YOU! I was thinking the same thing!!
Also, I like your name 😊
Also right hand planting is not correct either for classical player
if i was an extra in there i would've probably laughed my ass off seeing the rest of them just awkwardly "playing" the instruments
It was the tambourine that was singing, obviously.
Are you dumb? It was the piano, duh.
No way it was definitely the guy with the guitar
I thought I was also guitar guy. He was the only one moving his lips, but you only see it at the end.

@@dhanyasharma4817 ahh I see, don't worry. like I said, I assumed it was a coincidence
Um, it's obviously the piano
The guitarist there too. He was strumming down with a pick on a steel string acoustic when you could *clearly* hear that it is a fingerpicked nylon string.
Thank you.
@@micahlovesjesus3437 everyone in that room is a fraud
@@tomatotom984 Including the pianist
Yep, his right hand movements don’t make any sense. He would also probably be muting the strings he’s playing.

This is sooo funny! I just noticed as well that on the final close-up to the "violin player" the guy in the piano is not the actual actor who was "playing" the piano before. I wonder if they had someone who actually played the piano; not sure why bother if his performance was not really going to save this debacle!

Catzilla X Challenge: thumb position harmonic vibrato
Whoa
Guitarista's faking as well. He's strumming when the backing track calls for plucking, he's too tense, he's obviously avoiding the strings (probably to reduce noise pollution like eddy said), he also doesn't shift finger position (you can tell by the lack of muscle movement in his forearms), and he's holding the guitar too far away from his body (afraid he might drop it?).
What's really uncomfortable though is how awkward his strumming is, my god. It's like he's stroking a cat but he's afraid it might bite.
The worst thing is he's using a steel string acoustic while the track actually uses a classical guitar.
There is a worst problem. There isn't guitar in the audio! I hear only a violin and some piano notes! O.O

Dude, if pay attention to the very beggining, there are some arpeggios going on but his right hand isn't even touching the strings

Jenna learned cello in 2 months for her movie but I think that actor hasn’t even touched a violin before.

I also love how the guitar player has an steel stringed (acoustic) guitar but the sounds are from a nylon stringued (clasical) guitar...
Yes it does afect greatly, try listening to the diference in youtube and you'll see how much it actually changes
Woo guitar expert here!
