I wrote a piece 2 years ago, but its a little bit long, its about 9 minutes. But unfortunately I just know it by heart since I dont know how to read nor write music In sheets.
I havent gave it a proper name, but its related to "Time" and "infinity". An ode to Time I would say, I hope someday I learn to write music in sheets and share my piece to you!

Kevin Lee it’s not that difficult of a composition, it’s basic chord progressions. He used whole notes and quarter notes to portray emotion. If I really wanted to I could write a piece about the same or better at the age of 16. Doesn’t make me special. But I do admire the composition it’s well put together, however there are some improvements that could be made. Also writing for a piano is one thing. Writing for an ensemble is another, they are 2 totally different ball games. I would be more impressed if he did not compose a simple piano melody but he wrote an ensemble version for Horn, clarinet, bassoon, and violin. Until then i would rate 5/10 due to musical expressions and the overall emotion portrayed during the piece.

Samuel Taylor Yes, but still. He is 13 years old. It may be a bit easy, but the fact that a 13 year old made it is kind of astonishing. I do agree that improvements could be made, however.

*If you flipped the order of Spikes and Shen’s pieces, it would be a hauntingly complete life story….*
*(1) Rizal’s* is the child at school.
Simply having fun with their classmates each day-and likely experiencing their very first innocent crush (or crushes).
*(2) Shen’s* is that same child, now as a teenager planning for college/university.
They’re no longer in childhood, but they aren’t quite old enough to fully appreciate the loss of it yet, because they’re too focused on being in the middle of one of their most pivotal life transitions-from adolescence to adulthood.
The music reflects how they are nervous and unsure about going off into the world for the first time, but those uncertain nerves are always heavily colored with an undercurrent of excited anticipation, hope and dreams of what the future holds for them.
*(3) Spike’s* takes place a decade or two later, after the reality of life has thrashed our protagonist around quite a bit.
The music shows that they’ve endured enough difficulty in life to fully appreciate how beautiful the innocence of their childhood was -and now the panic-fueled, icy, existential grief of understanding they will never feel that way again, begins to set in.
But once they make it beyond the initial mourning period for their childhood, you can hear notes of hope starting to creep back in to the music…
Eventually the protagonist realizes that just because they now know too much of the world to ever feel the same type of innocent, safe, and carefree joy of childhood again-they can now do everything in their power to protect that same innocence and unencumbered joy in all of the children in their life.
This particular piece of the journey ends with almost the same tune as the beginning, yet is slightly altered. Because our young protagonist faced down their demons and mourned the loss of their childhood innocence, but has now found comfort and a renewed purpose in their life-by fighting to protect those beautifully innocent years of the new generations…
Just as their parents/guardians once resolved to do for them, long ago.
And thus, the emotionally complex cycle of existence begins anew.❤️

Im getting so much inspiration from Lycoris Radiata thats its insane, I can imagine two friends who've known each other their entire lives, but one day one of them notices red spider lilies blooming everywhere their friend goes, but no one else seems to see them. They realise what this means for their friend's fate and desperately tries to change it, or to spend as much time as possible with their friend, or something, anything, they just can't let them go like this.
Still don't have an ending for it, but this is just what I imagine, some possible endings could be:
    - Maybe the friend knew about their inevitable fate, and subtly reassures their friend that it will be okay, and that they will always be connected one way or another, and eventually passes.
    - The person ends up failing to save their friend, and the story's second half is about their grief and how they come to accept the change in their life.
    - The two figure out why the flowers had bloomed in the first place, trace it back to something supernatural, and get tangled up in something bigger that neither of them could have predicted, and eventually end up getting separated even more than they originally were. Maybe the one the with red spider lilies becomes ensared in an elaborate trap as just one of many victims, and the person we follow is their friend fighting to save them, doing anything and everything so that they can be together again.
(I am inclined to this one haha, I just like the idea of a golden birdcage hidden in the sky, the friend being unable to escape and desperately trying anyway, praying that their friend will come rescue them, and said friend eventually arriving after a long journey only to find they've come too late, their friend in already gone, bleeding out beautifully in a garden of red spider lilies, the flowers being fed with blood as red as their petals, and the protagonist falls in defeat, desperate for a chance to try again, to turn back time, and they just might get that chance. Or not, and they cope with the fact that if they hand just done a few things differently, if they had been more efficient, if they had gathered more information in the beginning and known what to do, their friend would still be alive.)
    - Or they just get a simple happy ending, who knows lol

I could also see them trying to make their friendship work, but they realize they have both outgrown each other. Eventually one is moving away years later, after much silence on both of their parts. They hang out one more time, in the lobby of an airport, before the one moving leaves, and it almost re-ignites their friendship, but they end up reminiscing more than actually hanging out, on all of their childhood memories, to adulthood, a relationship that went beyond a romantic one, but of a deep platonic lifelong friendship that slowly fizzled out overtime. This is done as gentle zephyr plays in the background.

The last piece sounds like something that would play at the end of a hero’s journey, where all the characters are sitting in the grass and thinking about the loved ones they lost along the way. A gentle breeze blows and the characters you’ve grown to love say their goodbyes and go their separate ways. The main character turns around at the crest of a hill and watches his friends go. The camera stays as the character walks over the hill and disappears never to be seen by you, the reader or watcher, but you can infer that his story doesn’t end here.

to me, the great zephyr felt like you have achieved something you have always strived for and are now at the end of your journey, reminiscing chasing your dreams. you look back on your adventures with great fondness and although you are happy you have now accomplished your goals, you have a weird feeling of emptiness. you have spent so much time chasing after this one goal, so now that it’s finished, what are you supposed to do? the beautiful melody symbolizes the feeling of relief of it being done now and the sad tinge symbolizes the emptiness that comes with that.
i honestly can‘t believe the composer is only 13 years old, that was one amazing piece for sure.

the final one really sounds to me like it belongs on the soundtrack of a Studio Ghibli movie. maybe it's the final song that plays over the credits. it has such lovely bittersweet notes, it's unfathomable to me that it was composed by a 13 year old. that's amazing, i hope the best for him and the other 2 composers in this video

‘the gentle zephyr’ immediately gave me the vibe of childhood. the first part felt like when you were a kid, just enjoying yourself without worry, and as the song goes on it felt like the changing from child to teen; the changing from things being simple to having much more awareness and realising you’re losing your childhood.
then it continues onto fighting within yourself to try to keep your childlike self alive and not grow up into someone new. then at the end, when you’re right at becoming a young adult, it’s the bittersweet acceptance that that part of your life is over. part of you is still that child you were, but you have also become someone new; someone mature, y’know?

The third piece, to me, is about the past, present, and future. You pass by a familiar place, changed so much, yet still the same. You are hit with a wave of nostalgia, as you remember all the time you spent there, all the marks you made, replaced. You are in a bit of internal turmoil, but still turn your head up from the ground and see the new people, whom you have no connection to, welcome and explore the once-yours house of memories. You think about all the changes and goodbyes you've had, now outside of that place. You realize it is best to let your past run freely instead of keeping it on a leash, so others can make new memories in its place. And you finally can continue the cycle of recreating old memories in new ways. You live a fulfilling life, with regrets and restricting ties easily let go of, and in your last moments, you can't help but think back on your life. Perhaps to relive it once more. Perhaps to do something better in hindsight. Either way, you let yourself plunge into the warm, welcoming darkness of death.
Yes I wrote a narrative for it, the song just felt so- aagh now I can't think of any adjectives to describe anything anymore

In a sense, I feel these all tie together in sequence -
Rizal's could represent childhood; wild changes in emotion, chasing whatever catches your eye - the piece is light, fun, and innocent.
In Spike's, we are saddened to grow up, to move on from friends, family, innocence, and childhood. It's the first tremendous loss, and the piece captures it well.
Finally, with Shen's, we grow old; we accept the past, let go of the future, and live in the moment for what time we have left. However long or short that may be.
Altogether they paint the arc of life.

Same... I am experiencing my first break up, we dated 10 months and had she broke up with me in a really mean way. I almost cried listening this as I started thinking how every memory with her will fade away eventually and I will most likelly never see her again...

Bruh part two brought tears to my eyes not at the sadness of the piece but the pure beauty and compassion behind it every emotion poured into it and thrown into every direction, beautiful…

Being a guy, I usually dont cry for months and months on end but somehow Exceptional music does something to my head. It makes me tear up, and Licorice radiata did just that. It made me cry after so long.

      Anime Director:
So we're doing the full boss fight and the 10-minute flashback. We need music to really bring our viewers into the story. You guys know anything or anyone??
      Spike:
      “Allow me to introduce myself...”

I think the song itself can play in a movie without any voice line and it can still tell a story

That last song gave me sad but hopeful vibes. Almost like a “goodbye for now” scenario. It’s very beautiful.

Little dude on song three is only 13!? He needs to contact Square Enix and make some Final Fantasy game themes, his piece would fit in the series like a glove.

The last one had that feeling of when you get closer to a friend, parent, boy/girlfriend, etc. You guys start talking about dumb silly stuff, then the conversation gets darker and you vent frustrations and your issues, that you were horrified to share with others. And they brace you and comfort you, they accept you. And what you feel is happiness and relief. You and whoever embraces and the bittersweet feeling of being horrified and yet accepted just overwhelms you to tears. It was a beautiful piece. I also don't know a n y t h I n g about the piano. I do find it very fascinating and know it is a very difficult instrument to learn. The last one just really hit home. The boy that wrote that I'm sure he will go very far.
Edit: 11 months later I am listening to that boy's piece again. It really feels like a friendship growing, that person you learn to trust. You never forget them, they make an imprint on your heart.

Lycoris Radiata makes me feel like, this wasn’t a slow loss, but an instant one. The thing they held most precious to them was simply torn away from them. Their memories are all that are left but they can’t stand the memories anymore. They want things to stop. They’re angry at the world, but they know death happens. They eventually begin to slowly know that this person wants them to live, so they do what they can in their memory to keep them alive no matter how it may be possible. But they always have that person closest to them, regardless of what is happening

When you said torn away, I thought you were talking about the chocolate ice cream cone I was holding, but was snatched out of my hand and thrown on the floor by a man that is now dead.

The second one is my favorite. The melody is so powerful and the key change at the end hits right at the soul
The last one I also love, it sounds like it would be from a Studio Ghibli movie, and those movies always touch my heart. They're so beautiful and meaningful, and the soundtracks are amazing
