You should patent that and make your own brand and it could be mass produced . I would definitely buy one of these beautiful instruments! Totally amazing!
2 minutes in and I’m already amazed. I’m not shocked, because I’ve watched a lot of your work and have come to expect this level of work from you. I don’t think I’ve ever been less than amazed though.
This was so therapeutic and cathartic. I would imagine it lowered my blood pressure and I found myself shaking my head often at your skills and patience. Thank you Andy. This was a real treat to watch.
Great artists are compelled to create; it's internal. Look after yourself, you are a unique luthier, and you have given me great pleasure in watching you, and I would like that to continue,
Brilliant! The concept of an electric upright bass fascinates me, since in most cases you'd be putting an piezo mic on your acoustic upright bass anyway and plugging it in to the P.A. or a bass amp. But why do most upright basses have no design. Its just a stick with strings on. THIS on the other hand is what I'm looking for in an electric upright bass. Smaller than an acoustic upright, but still with a great design, and it sound fantastic!!!
This is an amazing concept for an Electric Bass. I would want this, but with the top/sides and maybe even back as Thin Stock Wood (rather than the bulky thick pieces used for electric instruments) so that it could be used as an Acoustic Bass with the wood actually vibrating and resonating to project the volume unplugged. How you manage to work with aluminum using a hack-saw is astounding. I spent five minutes trying to make aluminum hardware by hand and then just gave up and bought a Mini Mill from Harbor Freight...
Good afternoon. I see that you are a VERY good master. I would like to ask you for advice. We are talking about the fender plus neck. The washer, in which the truss rod spool rests, somehow broke off and went down the neck (along the anchor). The truss rod does not work. how to get the washer that the truss rod spool rests against.Thank you
There is a website that can determine the fret position from the scale, so I use that. The radius is made by ignoring it. The difference in pitch due to changes in string height has a greater impact. I think it is just a guideline for contrabass.
If youd be so kind to share with us, What is the name of the saw or tool, size and material made of, you used at min 32, to cut the stainless steel plate? Also its truly inspiring to see such amount of detail, in my opinion all that metal is an added cost normal people cant afford. People are looking for cheap alternatives nowdays. Also the body of the guitar need to be more like a womans curves, and not waves. Cheers.
Wow not only your craftsmanship is too notch, your playing is amazing as well, very rare to see this combo.
Well done on all fronts!

@@Andybassguitar No, thank you!

What can I say, just brilliant.

So obvious an invention. It makes me wonder what I have been thinking. Resolute craftsmanship and *_a beautiful tone._* Bravo. 😎

Pizzicato sounds really close to the real thing. Would like to hear it played arco tho. That's the real test of any replacement contrabass design.
Great Job Excellent
C’est fabuleux
Thank you!
Unreal.
Really interesting! What does it weigh?
How many hours? Congratulations for a very beautiful work! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
It took about a year from the design stage.
@@Andybassguitar did you build this for yourself or a client?
@@madmaxx5612 This base was made for experimental sales.
Sold.
Thank you.
Do you see any value in a truss rod?
Whats the scale on that thing? Or how do you mark out the fret markers, and how about the radius? I wanna try making one of my own.
There is a website that can determine the fret position from the scale, so I use that.

Incredible skills. You use only noble materials such as brass.
Looks--and sounds--great! Can you share what piezo you used? Thanks
Thank you!
Sorry piezo is a secret. It is made in Japan.

Hello good morning☀️ Is there a possibility that you could share the most important measures to guide me? If it is possible or not, I appreciate it. 😁
Fantastic skill beyond belief. A master craftsman. You are blessed. Would you take a commission on to build me one. Name your price.
How much will one of these run me!? I need one!
where i can buy this bass??
Sensei, sumimasen. Do you selling this? Thank you so much

Bellissimo lavoro!, ma troppo legno prezioso perso in segatura...
Shut up and take my money!
Soundboard seems too thick resonance seems deadened.
The description is sort of sad. But I get it, I've been working very hard on my guitars too and it drains everything from you.
They sucked it up lol.
Give it time, it will recover!
