I've been a bass player nearly 35 years now (and musician over 40 years), and this axe that you built is a work of art. I'm glad it's being played and not just hung on some wall as an "oooh ahhh" piece.
I'm not a musician, but I appreciate quality workmanship. Fascinating process and great documentation of it. I hope the customer appreciates the effort and planning that went into it.
I am an old master maker that wishes I had the courage to make such radical gorgeous designs. I feel for you struggling with hobby tools and would love to introduce you to the virtues of spokeshave , plane and scraper but lovely work all the same.
Those LED fret markers are a really good idea for when you're playing live and the lights are low. I know I sure could have used them on a number of occasions. COOL! Nice job man!
Luthiering skills lvl 999, soldering skills: don't talk about that. Back in the days I used copper tape to insulate the electronics cavity and the pickup well. All soldered together to prevent any unwanted noise. Too bad I can solder pretty good, but I'm not a good luthier :D
Absolutely beautiful. Stained ash is my favourite finish. When you applied the black, I was like "hell yeah!". When you applied the blue I was like "noooo! What are you doing!?". When I saw the finished product I was like "you crazy son of a bitch, you did it.". Amazing build!
I love your design for attaching the wings. It looks so nice, and neat plus creates tons of sustain. It's like a set neck design for wings. Wow, your design for the switches is ingenious. I love the LED's, too. I have them in my bass and it makes it so much easier to play on stage when I can clearly see the fret markers.
After watching Bill and Ted, I always thought that if I ever made a band I would have a custom BASS that would look like a Scythe and I would be disguise as DEATH lol
The way you tenon that neck to the body is really cool. I'm stealing that and if anyone ever asks where I got it I'll point them right here. Thank you for sharing. This was sick.
I swear to god man, you make some of the coolest guitars out there, nobody is capping edit: please try a glow in the dark guitar, there is no reason or incentive, except that it's awesome and it looks like a caustic substance that should not be near humans, like the alien piss they keep in the yellow barrels fkd up a guitar and turned it wild
Awesome build ,! I just thought that if a shine was applied to the body it would have really made the wood grain pop with a beautiful sheen and glow like the tiger eye gem stone , but every one's love is different, still an amazing bass !, the lights in the neck are top notch ! ,the string attachments are really different and so cool ! , outstanding build video !😊 I really wish that folks would not call it a bass guitar !, It's just a bass ! Lol 😊
Franchement, ta basse est une œuvre d art, tout est magnifique, les micros, les mécaniques, la forme, la couleur, tout est parfait et top, j adore ! Tu as des mains et une imagination de génie
The manufacturing process is more interesting than the result, this is what you always encounter when watching such videos. The mind is more perfect than the gross matter, the concept in the mind is always better than what you receive in the gross physical form consisting of chemical elements
Wow man that's probably the most beautiful build I've ever seen. Reminds me of my first decent bass, and LTD F-255. This 3D effect looks brutal, the LEDs on neck are magnificent, THE BLUE ON BLACK ON ASH IS WONDERFUL, that low A rumbles like crazy, I love everything about this bass. A true work of art. I would kill to have this as a guitar, but my banker doesn't want me to. One question though : as someone very politely and kindly pointed out 6 days ago, there is no clear coat. Is it because the blue paint is oil-based and acts kind of like a tru-oil or such as an oil finish ?
@@FlameInstrumentsit looks kind of thick, how much does it weigh? I play a Warwick 5 string that weighs about 8 lbs, I don't know if i could tic that bass but it looks cool
Considering all of the work and the obvious love that you put into creating this masterpiece, I feel as though you are giving your musical pieces of art away (confession: I honestly have no idea how much this bass guitar would cost, if sold at retail price, in a music store) for the price you listed! You really have some Serious woodworking skills sir. What a beautiful result you achieved in this bass guitar design and build! It honestly is Beautiful ! ! ! Thank You for sharing with all of us. Fred
Nice build man. That's an awesome design with a sweet unique element in the led fret markers. I do have one question though on the head stock you put the string locks under the thin piece of wood and then glued it in, wont string tension be an issue? i know the glue is stronger than the wood but it seems like it potentially could be a weak spot for delamination or am i just missing something?
Looks amazing. No place to rest your thumb for playing finger style though. Fine if you only play with a pick but I like to change it up depending on the song.
Beautiful, sexy even, bass. Love the wood grain. I do feel like I'd prefer it with a nice clear coat on top though if it was mine. Really impressed with your skills!
Damn man, when you sanded the black and put the blue...sweet move! Why didn't you put a clear coat to make it pop a bit more? Anyways, sick bass and what plugin you using for that sick bass grind? Darkglass? I want that tone!

I've been a vegan crossfitter for 80 years and this is a good bass guitar.

Beautiful bass guitar! I love when you can see the wood under the paint.
I am an old master maker that wishes I had the courage to make such radical gorgeous designs.

Pretty sick looking bass! Love the black and blue colouring!

I love it, any one would be proud to have that as their "Axe".
This is the sickest bass guitar I've ever seen.
What a stunning guitar. Very well done.

Another awesome design. Love the texture and 3D look. Excellent.
That’s a crazy bass. I love the unique design!
Loved the way you did the staining letting the wood grain show outstanding
Flipping fantastic work sir ! Amazing documentation of the process as well. Top notch !
After watching Bill and Ted, I always thought that if I ever made a band I would have a custom BASS that would look like a Scythe and I would be disguise as DEATH lol
Love the design on this thing! Very unique! ❤
I can imagine Cliff Burton playing that!
🤘😎🤘
Very cool and creative build! Nicely done
Thanks bro!
That baritone is brilliant man, sounds incredible❤❤❤
This thing is crazy. Great job on recording the process!
AMAZING WORK😱😱😱💪👍
beautiful design and implementation, also love the way you can clearly hear the brightness of a maple fretboard but it doesn't look like one.
Great job. One thing I noticed that many folks do, is tighten clamps so tight, they bend - noticed during the glue up of the body.
Only design flaw id say would be any issues with access to the LEDs. But this is an immaculate instrument and a work of art. Love it.
The way you tenon that neck to the body is really cool. I'm stealing that and if anyone ever asks where I got it I'll point them right here. Thank you for sharing. This was sick.
Oh my God bro this guitar is so freaking awesome. I love the way it looks.
Ohhhh...the controls hidden in the back! I love that!

Thank you! Yes, the blue is oil-based and works as a finish. It' Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C Indigo.

Insane bro! 🤘
Great design!
Мужик, ты реально хорош👍
Although I don't quite fancy the volume knob and the switch being on the backside of the body, it is still a good design indeed.
Mother of God! I want one made in a 5 string, and instead of blue use green. Absolutely beautiful! 😮
Thanks bro!
Sick bass!! 🔥✌️🎱🃏
Very nice. The tone is quite bright though.
Beautiful instrument!

Dude, it's monstrous! Admit it, when it was done, you wanted to keep it for yourself!
I can't figure out how you don't have a million subs...
You really deserve way more subs and views 😊
Brutálna basa. Asi som krajšiu na YT nevidel.
Díky!
Those LED fret dots look sick.
Looks amazing. No place to rest your thumb for playing finger style though. Fine if you only play with a pick but I like to change it up depending on the song.
The prolonged fretboard is a place to put the thumb on.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ good work
What a beast, love it! Earned a sub for sure
